Recommendations for choosing from a large set of official assemblies from Google. If you do not want to bother or do not have enough technical knowledge to determine the dpi of the device, then it is recommended to use assemblies with an index
nodpi .
Starting with version 25, Google Phone for the CIS market is available in
noarch . Those. not tied to the processor architecture. Pro version arm / arm64 read
here .
As a result, a simple recommendation for the overwhelming majority is to install the version
noarch ,
nodpi .
If the assembly directly from Google gives the error "Your device is not supported", then look for the version header with the posts "stock with a minimum set of patches". In such versions, the full stock appearance is preserved, and the incompatibility message is removed.
Since the Google Phone is now distributed through the Play Store and is not an OEM application as it once was, there are no special versions for any Samsung or Xiaomi. Google Phone is universal and works on the vast majority of devices.
If the assembly is not installed at all, then read
FAQ.
I also note that current versions of Google Phone require a minimum of android 7.0 and higher. On versions of Google Phone that are compatible with earlier versions of android, read in
FAQ.
Note for versions 22 and below
On vers 22 and below, Google released options for different architectures.
- For arm64 - build with index "(arm64-v8a)"
- For arm - build with index "(armeabi-v7a)"
Versions with similar indices, but weighing almost twice as much as the rest, are special builds with additional integrations for Google Pixel devices. For those who do not have Pixel, these assemblies are not recommended. Harm, probably will not. But the benefits of increasing the volume twice will not be accurate.
If you do not even know what arm / arm64 is, then first put arm64. And if it does not, then arm. In short, most modern devices in the price range above the average are built on arm64 architecture. Accordingly, the arm built old (by the standards of the market) and modern budget devices.
PS for the tech-savvy, these recommendations are not relevant. If you know exactly the architecture and dpi of your device, choose yourself what suits you best.
