Used successfully TP-LINK Archer C9 with Hardware V1 by version not yet updated Windows 10 to version 1709. After that, the OS update ceased to see how joint user resources, storage devices in their USB ports. It turned out that Microsoft in Windows 10 (Fall Creators Update) was abandoned from outdated and not safe SMB V1, only SMB V2 & V3 is supported, and TP-Link has not yet refused. Alas, the new firmware for the V1 is not expected to expect, the support of TP-Link promises this "ever". I advise you to check all purchased routers and NAS-s on the ability to support them protocols and SMB2 & SMB3 specifications.

* silvertop , as an option, until they release a new firmware to roll back to win10 without this update.

* silvertop,
or try to install custom DD-VRT firmware from here:ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/b…98/tplink_archer-c9v1/

Rep: (3)
It will be difficult to roll back permanently, because now W10 is updated without prior user approval; the re-fight will begin: I will roll it off - it will roll again. Yes, I am thinking about switching to some custom firmware, because I do not want to neglect safety. I'll tell you if something happens.

I roll it - she rolls again

so turn off the updates and everything, nothing will be updated.

* silvertop,
Disable in the administration-service-at the bottom of the update windows and BITS.

Somehow there is no particular desire to worsen the security level of the system. No wonder that Microsoft translates us into more recent and protected versions of specifications.

tried it?

No, I am keeping a course for DD-WRT, I just postponed the process a bit, due to the lack of time.

I am currently on the DD-WRT course,

it is better than runoff.

it is better than runoff.

I had no special requests; and stock suited, until TP-Share fell off due to the introduction of MS in W10 SMB2. And DDR-WRT will provide support for SMB2 and, accordingly, TP-Share, yes? Or do you need to learn about it on their resource in more detail? And I’m still afraid of the router to "wreak" the flashing process, I only have access to it over WiFi, without ethernet.

Yes, more about this is better on their resource.

Thanks, I will find out.

Hello! Tell me, is v2 a valid revision, is it worth taking?

Rep: (1)
Who needs a third version on DD-WRT? Inexpensive ..: rofl:

it has custom firmware dd

I understand that there is. I mean, is it a normal iron? To be honest, I never found the difference between all revisions.
