Installing a custom kernel.
1. You must have a backup of the stock kernel (boot.img) with your firmware, better even a full backup of the firmware. Kernels come with bugs, or you just did not like the kernel.
2. All the latest kernels are in zip format, installed in TWRP as a regular archive. After installation, it is MANDATORY to make a wipe cache / delvik.
3. Installing another kernel is desirable to do on the stock kernel.
4. Update is possible on top, with wipe cache and delvik.
