Bootable flash drive for working with disks | Finished image

Rep: (1703)
Colleagues, for those who have difficulties in creating a bootable flash drive containing the necessary programs for working with disks, I post the image of the notorious disc created on Philka.ru - MiniSV 2008.
This is a 100 mb boot disk containing Partition Magic, Norton Ghost, Acronis utilities for cloning and splitting disks, file explorer. OS - Windows PE. In the archive there is a ready image for Norton Ghost for a flash drive plus Norton Ghost 32 itself, running under Windows.

If you upload the image to a large-capacity card (more than 2 GB), before the procedure go to Options - Fat32 / 64 and check the "Fat32 conversion" box.

The procedure itself is as follows: start Ghost, set the described setup, then: Local - Disk - From Image. We are looking for an image, then indicate where to fill it. Be careful with the drive letter. It must be an inserted card.

In all cases, before uploading an image to a USB flash drive, check it for viruses and complete the formatting. And avoid calling any disks and partitions Cyrillic. Say, not "System", but "System", or not "Card", but "Card".

This image is filled with an 8 GB SDHC card. Card all the time in the card reader of a laptop. If you need to use the MiniSV, I just boot from the card via esc. On the same card, I keep the Windows XP distribution, backup files, drivers, etc.

Just in case, for those who can not boot from a flash drive, I post the original bootable CD. Image as iso-file. The disc is burned by almost any program for recording discs.

Added by: An image of a bootable USB flash drive containing only Acronis True Image and Acronis Disk Director. Image size is about 32 mb.

the best option for a flash drive that I found for myself - www.slax.org, you can choose a set of programs that are needed, I have a 256 MB flash drive, besides tools for working with hdd, also skype icq torrent and so on

Rep: (1703)
droid8622 , on the flash drive presented by me, of course, there are utilities for working in the network and a lot more :)

Rep: (1703)
Here I made another flash drive, or rather I didn’t quite do it myself, but I pulled off the blank and corrected it in the internet :)
So, a bootable USB flash drive with a size of 32 MB containing Acronis Disk Director and Acronis True Image. Ghost 32 for making flash drives included.
Use on health.

I apologize and you can in more detail.

When I try to install Windows from a SD disk after Linux, then Windows displays 4 hard disk partitions, 2 large ones, in total about 4 gigs and 2 small ones with 8 megs each (it seems that the computer is not at home). So one of the 8 meter section is not deleted.
Question!
1. Is it possible to put a Windows without an acronis, deleting those disks that are removed during installation, and then, merging into one formatting in NTFS.
2. If there is no item 1, is it possible to use partishen magic from a boot disk and not an acronius?
3. You need to delete VASHCH all sections, create one (for example), format (for example, NTFS) and make active ?????

Who has a ghost that can be put with a ready-made image and install snow in bios xp

Rep: (1703)
max_ic,
1. Of course, you can install if there is a USB drive. For a correct installation, you need a physical disk of 4 GB in size, on which all 4 Linux partitions are demolished and one partition is created in their place. I did not delete the partitions either PQmagic, or Acronis DD, I do not remember, but there were no difficulties.
2. Already answered
3. It is necessary to delete all 4 partitions from a 4-gigovy disk.

snow in bios install xp

Through BIOS using Ghost - I doubt it. However, if you have an image prepared by Ghost, you can put the image with the program onto a bootable USB flash drive and run it. I post the Ghost 11 version for DOS and Windows.

Legos,
This image of me and several independent users tested person who wrote to me. In theory, you need to log in on any computer that supports booting from USB. If not, try to re-read the instructions of the cap. If it still does not work, maybe it brings media itself (stick). I met with this. Try also in the BIOS to change settings on compatible, for example, to remove ACPI 2, the AHCI, etc. Well, if not so, nor that way, I thought no more. We'll have to look for an alternative.

Legos,
1. In theory, you should boot on any computer that supports booting from USB.
2. If it fails, try re-reading the instructions from the header. If it still does not work, it is possible that the carrier itself (flash drive) fails. I met with this. 3. Try also in BIOS to change the settings for compatible ones, say, remove ACPI 2, AHCI, etc.

Thanks for the answer.
1. This beech supports loading via USB from the external USB-DVD drive initially - maybe the dog rummaged.
2. I read, all New Year's Eve and I sow the night :)
3.Bios poor, there are no sales of the above functions.
Alternative vsezh have to buy, if not in the morning domuchayu, buy USB drive.

Rep: (1703)
Legos,
By alternative, I meant not only an optical drive, but also a flash drive change;)
If you have a card reader and some free card, try such a kit. In the extreme case, if the card is busy with something, the contents can be temporarily saved somewhere. I'm all for what - external DVDs are quite expensive, and the need for them, in my experience, is not particularly observed in everyday life. Therefore it makes sense to find other flash drives and test them.

I bought Sedna in Eldorado, with discount coupons, CSS external Samsung -with license NERO for only 2400 (the NERO itself costs more).
I agree on the topic of flash drives ... but I am not a big specialist in computers .. for a couple of days I have exhausted all my skills ... I installed Vista on the ultimate .. more on this in another topic.
Thank.

downloaded USB Reanimator XP v1.5 2008, took it here-http://ifolderlinks.ru/soft/usb-reanimator...odnoi-fleshke.hOn Eee PC, Windows was installed without problems, although it is too heavy, too much beauty and uselessness. I decided to install the computer on the comp does not see the flash drive (I tried 3 different ones) ... The question is, has anyone come across this version of the subject? And how to burn a bootable CD from it?

And how to burn a bootable CD from it?

1. Insert the USB flash drive.
2. Open the iso-image in UltraISO (checked on version 9.3.0.2600).
3. Menu: Bootstrap - Write Disk Image
4. In the window that opens: Disk Drive - Choose our USB flash drive (it is automatically substituted by me), Write method - Choose USB-HDD
5. Click the button: Format - FAT32
6. After formatting is complete, press the button: Write

read more carefully: / I decided to install the computer on the computer does not see the flash drive /.
I now need to make a bootable CD, i.e. write this resuscitator on a pig. There is no iso-image, if you dealt with this version, you should have noticed it. Simple copying of files in Nero gives nothing, files are written to disk, but loading from disk does not occur ...

Hello!
I'm going to put WinXP instead of Linux on an EEE PC. I studied the forums, I tried a little. I tried to make a bootable flash drive and boot from it. Everywhere on the forums they predalagayut - here take the archive, just copy to a USB flash drive or card and there will be happiness. Or From Acronis, make Recover Bootable Media. And how will it become bootable then? MBR or what is the name of this boot set as it appears on it?
I did not succeed either way or way. When you try to boot from such a flash drive Pishtm - let's another disk, this one does not fit.
I sort of found a way to start so far - when formatting the HP USB Format Tool mentioned above, select the option to make bootable in MS-DOS. But for this, I had to find and slip those MSDOS files. Only after that do what I wrote above (copying to a USB flash drive or from acronis bootable recovery Media).
The question is - do you manage to create a bootable USB flash drive using the methods described for example here (http: //savagemessiahzine.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=75385)or here (http://eee-pc.ru/wiki/windows_xp:acronis)?

Rep: (1703)
VasiliyM,
the finished images offered by me in this thread are already bootable. If you pour them onto a USB flash drive according to the attached instructions, the USB flash drive becomes ready for use.
And if you want to make a flash drive yourself, I would recommend PE2USB - a program, in particular, creating an ICBM on a carrier.
But all of the above steps, if you need a flash card system for the preparation of disk, backups, etc. And if you need distribution, you can of course use the method I have described, a link to which you yourself indicated. The technique works. Another thing is that it was written some time ago, and in the meantime there were other methods. In particular, I would recommend to find in this section (Laptops) my post with the conversion of the stick in the "USB-CDROM". Of course in this case it is necessary to understand what you're doing. If you are not confident in their abilities, make a distribution in the manner described above.

But for the collection there is still a similar program, like in this thread have not yet laid out:
Hpusbfw.exe unlike PeToUSB.exe allows you to format the USB flash drive in FAT 32 or NTFS.
