For normal operation of notifications in some applications, synchronization must be enabled!
For example, without synchronization, notifications for gmail do not work!
Just do not forget that synchronization can be enabled ONLY for Wi-Fi, in this case, these applications may not work on the mobile Internet.
Settings - Sync - Wi-Fi only - turn off

In Viber, WhatsApp, mail and in some other applications, you need to additionally set up notifications, otherwise they may simply not be included!

Who suddenly stopped working / had problems with notifications on some applications, especially when recovering from backups - it helps to reinstall the application.
Delete. Reinstall. Do not forget to check all the settings above for this application. Reboot.
Sometimes this can happen after updating the firmware or the applications themselves.

- Settings - Advanced (Other / Advanced) - For developers - Optimization of system memory (shutdown often helps)
- Settings - Advanced (Other / Advanced) - For developers - MIUI optimization (sometimes disabling helps, affects the interface and updates over the air!)

If developer mode is not enabled:
[MIUI8]- Settings - About device - a few clicks on the item "Version MIUI"
[MIUI9]- Settings - About phone (First item in settings) - a few clicks on the item "MIUI version"
[MIUI10]- Settings - About phone - a few clicks on the item "Version MIUI"

If you selected a third-party sound file for notifications through the native Explorer, but there is no sound, select it, through any third-party file manager.
It was noticed.

For those who persistently fail to configure notifications

Once upon a time enjoyedRoot- Push Notifications FixerorPush Notifications Fixer- maybe this will help someone ...

If there is no way at all, if you have root, you can add (change if you already have) to build.prop instruction pm.sleep_mode = 0
Instead of zero, you can try other values (2/3/4)
Value 0: Pause power ARM11.
Meaning 1: Completely shutting down the ARM11.
Meaning 2: Software sleep (ARM11 remains on, but is switched to low power mode).
Meaning 3: The frequency of the ARM11 drops to 20 megahertz. Voltage will also be reduced.
Meaning 4: When you sleep, no action will occur (May lead to increased power consumption!).

And most importantly! Check whether any task killer battery optimizers(!) , memory cleaners, etc.

By the way, there were cases when a person could not set up notifications, made a reset and everything was set up right away.
Remotely find out what it depends on, I can not, and there is no desire.
Therefore, one more tip is to try to make wipes, although it would be "cache" and "dalvik cache"!
I set up notifications on several smarts last year, people calmly update the firmware, everything works great.
I, of course, flashed my smart / intermittently, I have never had such a thing that notifications would not work!

Can there be a normal topic with the output of notifications?
It is necessary to change the topic, what else can be done here, if the topic is such.
Well, where to take the topic - see for yourself, the choice is big. Starting from the standard Themes app
And ending here, onsavagemessiahzine.com - Catalog of the MIUI v6 / v7 / v8
GameCube @ 08/17/17, 06:03*
As a result, notifications from mail and contact began to come, but sometimes with a strong delay

And did not try to make them systemic? Unless of course there is a root.
Human-oid @ 08/16/17, 09:02*
system built-in sound and configured

And by chance the topic is not "left"? On the standard checked? If the standard is the same - it may try to ask in the subject.Google Calendar
At the same time, you can put a calendar from there, and check on the mods.

Hello everyone, guys, help me find a theme with the Russian alphabet, in the standard set of themes on Xiaomi Mi Max 2 so I can't find one, maybe someone has already encountered such problems? Well, or poke your nose :)) I like a newbie, maybe I did not find this on the site :)

Rep: (0)
Tell me how to make redmi 4a automatically connect to a previously configured wifi network. The tick "auto-connect" in the wifi settings is enabled, in the energy saving all that can be turned off is disabled. But no, the smart does not switch to it when wifi appears, only manually .. And after 10 minutes of inactivity, it disconnects from it. I read the first post in this thread .. I don’t know where else to look. Kick in the right direction.

Above in the message there is in fact on the topics! To begin with, at least specify the firmware! If global, then what is wrong with the themes?

Settings - Wi-Fi - Advanced - Wi-Fi in sleep mode - Enabled.
Settings - Wi-Fi - Saved networks - Delete
Settings - Wi-Fi - Add network.
Yes, and it is useful to indicate the firmware!
If there is a root, you can add a network manually:
/data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf

I suspect that in the contact list there is no Russian alphabet on the right, for a quick transition to the letters. In fact, terribly uncomfortable.

Well, if we are talking about this, then this is in my opinion not treated. Change the firmware. Use T9 in the call - it works.
Or, if you have a root / TWRP, edit the existing one. How this is done can be found in the topics on your smart.
As an option to use the firmware from localizers, I do not remember if there is a Russian in contacts on the global weekly,
I have been using firmware from localizers for a hundred years. There are no problems with the themes, or with T9, or with Russian letters.
Yes, and on the weekly, which are based on the Chinese, and this is from localizers, there are many chips that are not on the global weekly or on the global stable.
But this is to your taste. Maybe at MIUI9 they will correct this problem. Because it has long been rising on the forum.

SSID not accidentally hidden? In this case, manual addition of the network helps.
No - understand the settings of the router. Change the network type (frequency), Standard, channel number, etc.

No, it is not hidden. Other devices are connected to the router automatically, as soon as they are within range. As it should be.
Something is wrong with the energy saving settings in redmi4a, but what exactly is not clear.

By the way, what does the "Detailed log Wi-Fi" mean? How to view this magazine?

The only thing I can advise, if the removal of all the saved networks did not help, and manually setting the network, is to change the modem version.
There was a problem with an auto-connection to Wi-Fi on some firmware - I decided, as I wrote a line above.
I think it's easier to ask this question in the topic for your smart.

PS although I would advise just to make a local backup (save it on SD for example) to flash smart via MiFlash with full cleaning.

Thanks for the answer! I solved the problem more dramatically - I handed over the redmi4a back to the store, changed it to a different brand smart.

Confused. Solved by topics. There is an alphabet in the Stock MegaMod theme from the store. But I didn’t like that they were changing the interface too much. The t9 itself on the telephone keypad is in the stock dialer. I installed the Default + theme from the "local collection on the forum", it also has an alphabet, but you need to "rebuild" it on the phone itself. And I replaced the rest of the components component-wise with more stock ones.
P.S. Here it is offtopic, the question is closed.

Setting voice search on MIUI9

Usually on localized firmware based on Chinese versions,
Not all Google applications are installed.
On global, the voice input application is usually pre-installed.
Then skip the installation and you can go directly to the settings.

For voice search, we need to installhttps: //play.google.co...d.googlequicksearchbox
2 applications will appear ("Google" and "Voice Search")

Unfortunately, not all firmware at the moment voice input works after a reboot normally,
especially from localizers that are made on the basis of test ones (not officially released yet).
You must either manually then run the Google application Or you need to make it system!
For this you need a root. I ask to pay attention that on global, this application most likely initially system.
Additionally, you can hang the lock on it!

To convert the application to the system you need to installLink2SD(need root!)
Launch, Find the installed Google application in the list - long press on it, a menu appears - "Convert to system"
Reboot.

P.S. For voice search, you must turn on the screen. With certain versions of the firmware, unfortunately, it does not work on the screen off.

This post was written based on the MiuiPro firmware, the names of some menu items may differ slightly.

Friends, tell me what you can do?
There xiaomi redmi note 2 with drain miui 8. It application to synchronize with smart clock (wiiwatch) does not work in the background, and from the cache. That is, it is impossible to hang a lock that used miui this application does not close. All ticks from power and permissions I put the only thing I can not remove the optimization of internal memory, or 3000 mAh battery will discharge to zero for 3 hours on the phone in sleep mode. So, this synchronization application stupidly turned off at the opening of any more or less difficult for the internal memory of the application. Miui so optimize. How to exclude the killing of the sync application with miui smartchasami 8 operating system?

Plus a "primer" for notifications. Served to check your settings. Initially, there were no problems with the notification. All settings are made by intuition, everything works. But I can not solve the problem with the delay of notifications in sleep mode. The delay of 30 seconds. up to 3 min Depends on the time of sleep, the time of the last entrance to the messenger ...

It works not in the background, but from the cache

What does "running from cache" mean? If you have it running at the moment, when you press the left touch button,
you should have it in any case on the list of the last!
Something does not work - make it systemic.

The delay of 30 seconds. up to 3 min

It depends on the firmware settings, how quickly the process goes to sleep and in which mode, from the applications themselves.
It is difficult to say something remotely. See the first post in the thread, spoiler "For those who persistently fail to configure notifications"
In the application, which is indicated there, you can set the time of the survey, it can help.
Try to translate the necessary applications into the system, try to change the firmware.

I would also like to note that these items are not in the system settings, but in the pre-installed neoSafe application. I constantly turned off the pedometer, and no tricks helped until I went into this application ->Energy Saving ->Gear ->Clear with a large energy consumption - remove this tick.

How will the application become systemic help me here? Miui 8 will not close it conducting its optimization? And how without a root to make the application system?

Rep: (1673)
There is

And what is there? I see only a notice in the blind, this is just a service.
Click on it, as I understand it should open, press the left touch button (without going to the desktop or something else) - it should be in the list of running. Or not?
How will the application become systemic help me here?

And think for yourself;)
And how without a root to make the application system?

No, just putting the root. Unless having brought the application itself to the firmware archive, but the first one I think will be easier.
Restrictions of background activity for him removed exactly? Autoload and everything else is done according to the instructions, checked carefully?
Check permissions for this application (run in background)
On MIUI9, there is a security item “Cleaning RAM”, namely a separate item, like “Cleaning Garbage”, etc., where you can set an exception for cleaning applications from the switches.

Here is installed your application from the market. How do I understand it?
I have everything in the list of running!

That's what helped, good man!) The application was originally downloaded not from the market, but from the manufacturer’s smart watch site and it was not displayed in the list of running programs. And the one installed from the market is displayed as it should.
