Quote from the description from the Fiio website. Uploaded the .iso image to the map,
writes "file is not supported." Probably .iso support applies
only to external DAC mode?
I think no. In DAC mode, the player only outputs sound, and the player decodes the files. Although maybe I do not understand something.

"Recently, we began to receive information that our new second-generation FiiO X3 DAC does not work with SACD ISO as previously announced.
We would like to take this opportunity to provide our clarification on this issue.
Generally speaking, the second-generation X3 is capable of decoding both DSD files and DSD ISO in their native format, but is not capable of decoding files compressed in DST format. DST ISO and DST files have the same extension as DSD ISO and DSD files (.iso and .dsf / .dff respectively), and therefore it is not easy to distinguish file formats. To clarify the file format, you can look in the "Properties" section of foobar2000 (after installing SACD support on it)
An alternative is to try playing the file using X3. If you cannot play the file, then most likely it is a DST file.
ISO DST files can be compressed to a DSD file format using the Sonore ISO2DSD program (just remember to tick the box “Convert DST to DSD”:

Individual DST files can be converted to DSD using the DST2DSD program:

Our engineers claim that DST encoding cannot be converted in real time, relying on second-generation X3 data processing resources.
