Why can't I use apps and games purchased in iTunes on devices with a different Apple ID?

After downloading from the App Store, programs are “tied” to a specific Apple ID for synchronization between devices and for protection against theft. See detailsDigital Signature Application . In order to use the application on other devices, it must be hacked (see How to hack the application from the App Store ). How to install such applications, see Installing hacked applications .

Backup
A source : https://support.apple.com/ru-ru/HT4946.

When connected to a computer, any iOS device using iTunes receives a backup.

What data does the backup include?
  • Photo.
  • Contacts.
  • Data applications Health.
  • Calendar data.
  • Safari bookmarks, cookies, currently opened pages, site history.
  • Autocomplete data.
  • Cache / database of automone web programs.
  • Notes.
  • Mail account settings (letters are not copied).
  • Microsoft Exchange Account Configurations
  • Call History.
  • Messages (iMessage, as well as SMS and MMS service provider with images and video).
  • Answering machine token (used for authentication when connected, is not an answering machine password; the token is restored only to the phone with the same number on the SIM card).
  • Dictaphone.
  • Network settings (saved Wi-Fi access points, VPN settings and networks).
  • Keychain bundle (includes email account passwords, Wi-Fi passwords, and passwords entered on websites and in some programs).
  • If you encrypt the backup, the keychain data can be transferred to a new device. Keychain data from an unencrypted backup can only be restored on the same iOS device. If data from an unencrypted backup is restored on a new device, you will need to re-enter all passwords.
  • The data of the App Store program (the program itself, its folders for temporary files and cache are not transferred).
  • Parameters, settings, and program data, including documents (PDF files uploaded directly to iBooks on an iOS device, are not included in the backup; to back up these files, select the File menu>"Transfer purchases").
  • Built-in purchases.
  • Game Center account.
  • Wallpaper.
  • The settings of the geolocation service for programs and websites that are allowed to use the location data of the user.
  • The location of the icons on the Home screen.
  • Installed profiles.
  • When restoring a backup on another device, the installed configuration profiles (user accounts, restrictions or other data that are determined using the installed profile) are not restored. All accounts or settings that are not associated with the established profile will be restored.
  • Bookmarks of the Maps program, search history and current location displayed in the Maps program.
  • Saved workouts and Nike + iPod settings.
  • Bluetooth devices paired (if this data is restored to the same phone that was used to create the backup).
  • Keyboard shortcuts and saved fixes.
  • Trusted sites that have certificates that can not be checked for authenticity.
  • Web clips.
  • Data on the autonomous operation of the device.

How to encrypt a backup?
If the backups are encrypted, when you open them you will need to enter the password specified when the option is enabled.
To enable the encryption function, go to the “Overview” of the device and press the corresponding button:

Synchronization

The concept of synchronization is that the phone or tablet is not certain "memory stick" for the data transfer, and part of the ecosystem (with PC) because the data that is stored on the PC (or the user part of the file system) must be stored and the device . When you add a file to a folder, which is synchronized on iOS also added the file, if any item in the folder to remove - it will be deleted on the portable device. Thus, the user can process the same information on the PC and iOS-device, working with them as two full parts ecosystem.
The main synchronization tools are iTunes and iCloud. Contacts, notes, calendars, photos can be synchronized via iCloud, music, video, podcasts, TV shows and other media can be synced via iTunes. However, using iTunes, you can also sync what is synced via iCloud, but the same data cannot be synced with iTunes and with iCloud. This is done in order to avoid duplication of information.
Synchronization can occur both via Wi-Fi and USB.

Sync setup
Consider the iTunes window for syncing:
Attached Image

1 - synchronization settings (for each type of content are selected separately.
2 - content of the iOS device.
Automatic sync. Such synchronization will occur immediately after connecting the iOS device to the computer. To disable this option go to iTunes ->Settings ->Devices ->Disable automatic syncing ... and click OK.
Attached Image

In the case of music and video, you can customizeselective sync , thanks to which it will be possible to synchronize only individual tracks. To enable this option, go to the Device tab ->Browse and select "Process music and video manually."
Attached Image

Wi-Fi sync. No different from the usual, but it happens via Wi-Fi. To enable this option, go to the “Overview” tab of the device and select “Sync this iPad (iPhone) via Wi-Fi” and select “Apply”.
Attached Image

If automatic synchronization is disabled, synchronization can also be performed via the iOS device. To do this, go toSettings ->Major ->Sync with iTunes over Wi-Fi ->Synchronize.

What if iTunes doesn't recognize the iOS device?

The unequivocal answer why iTunes may not see the device, no. Here are some actions that can solve the problem:
  • Reboot the device.
  • Update the software on your computer and iTunes itself to the latest version.
  • List your computer as trusted.
    How to make
The message "Trust this computer?" Always appears when you connect the device, if you do not click "Accept". After being added to the list of trusted ones, the device can not only be charged from the computer, but also synchronized with it. This notification cannot be disabled.

  • Check the USB cable. It may be damaged or designed only for charging, but not for data transfer.
  • Check if Apple Mobile Device Support is installed. This component is installed with iTunes. In order to make sure whether it is installed, open the Control Panel and go to the program uninstall list, check whether this item is in the list. If it is missing, reinstall iTunes.
  • Restart the Apple Mobile Device service.
    How to make
    Go to:
    • Windows xp : Start ->Control Panel ->Administration ->Services .
    • Windows Vista / 7 : Start ->(enter in the search for "Services", select Services in the "Programs".
    • Windows 8 : click on the top right of the screen ->Search ->(enter “Services”) ->View local services .

In all cases, select Apple Mobile Device from the list.>Stop the service. Then click "Start Service".

  • Check for Apple Mobile Device Driver.
    How to make
    • Go toStart ->Computers ->Properties ->Device Manager ->USB Universal Serial Bus Controllers(in Windows XP -Start ->My computer ->Properties ->Equipment ->Device Manager ->USB Universal Serial Bus Controllers) and find the Apple Mobile Device Driver in the list. If the driver is displayed without exclamation marks, question marks or arrows, then it is installed successfully.
If the driver is displayed with signs:
    • If the down arrow is displayed, it means it is disabled. To enable, right-click on it and click “Enable”.
    • If the driver is displayed with an exclamation or question mark:
    • Remove the driver (click on it and click "Uninstall".
    • Select “Universal Serial Bus USB Controllers” in the list and click “Update hardware configuration.
    • If you still see an exclamation point or question mark, manually update the driver. To do this, right-click on the driver, select"Update Driver" ->Run a search for drivers on this computer ->Install from disk ->OverviewenterC: \ Program Files \ Common Files \ Apple \ Mobile Device Support \ Drivers, find and select the usbaapl (or usbaapl64) file. If it is not in the folder, it is inC: \ Program Files (x86) \ Common Files \ Apple \ Mobile Device Support \ Drivers. Next, click "Open." Driver installation will occur.

  • ITunes may conflict with other sync programs. To check this, remove such programs and reinstall iTunes.

Photo sync features

Unlike other content, photos are created by the user, because they can be downloaded to a computer as from a regular USB flash drive.
From the computer you will see several folders with photos, the contents of which will be duplicated. This is normal for iOS 5 and up.
To set up sync to upload photos from your computer to your iOS device, go to the Photos menu in iTunes. Here you can choose whether photos will be downloaded from iPhoto (for Mac only), or from a specific folder.
Attached Image

Downloaded photos will be grouped in a separate folder. As in the case of any other synchronization, the folder on the iOS device will correspond to the folder on the PC: if any image is deleted, it will be deleted on both devices (similarly with the addition).

What to do with phantom content on an iOS device?

Phantom content (grayed out entries that do not open) sometimes appears on iOS devices.
Usually phantom books, music, videos and other content appear due to synchronization or deletion errors. In order for such content to disappear, it is necessary to re-synchronize, while necessarily having synchronized this content (noting its synchronization in the settings).

There is no possibility to flash irrelevant devices.

If you want to flash your iPhone 3GS to iOS 6, it’s impossible to use iTunes 12 for this. This is due to the irrelevance of the iPhone 4 and below, iPad 1, iPod Touch 4G and below. In this regard, you should use those versions of iTunes, which were released in the corresponding year of the necessary firmware.
  • For flashing on iOS 7, use iTunes 11.
  • For flashing on iOS 6, use iTunes 10.
  • For flashing on iOS 5, use iTunes 9.
  • For flashing on iOS 4 use iTunes 8.

This manual is based only on the personal experience of users!

The “Other” section takes up too much space. What to do?

There is no universal answer. However, you can give some tips:

Reinstalling applications
Despite the small size of some applications, they can waste large amounts of memory on the cache. To clear the cache, you can reinstall the application.
In order to see how much space the application takes, just go toSettings ->Major ->Statistics ->Storage ->(Application Name). Amounts of content in applications can be viewed in the “Documents and Data” row.
Attached Image
Attached Image

Clear Safari Data
Safari's built-in browser stores a large amount of information (history, site data, cache). To clean it you need to go toSettings ->Safari ->Clear site history and data.
Attached Image

Clear iMessage chat
IMessage conversations with attachments can take up a lot of space on your device. To clear them, go to iMessage, click on the message, select “More” and click on the trash can icon in the bottom left corner. Having made a swap left by correspondence, you can also delete it.

Sync errors
Errors, and, as a result, a lot of occupied space may occur when syncing with iTunes. To avoid such errors, it is recommended to remove the item “Process music and video manually” and synchronize the device again.
Attached Image

If nothing helps ...
In this case, it is best to make a backup copy of the device and recover from it. This should remove all errors and unnecessary files.

Cleaning with third-party software
Cleaning can be done using the program.PhoneClean.Users recommend installing earlier versions of the program, as they better “clean” the system.

How to fix the error “(Device) could not be synchronized, as this computer is no longer authorized to buy objects already on this device”
Attached Image

If such an error is not corrected by the authorization of the computer, then most likely it is caused by using multiple accounts to purchase items (music, movies, applications, sounds, etc.) on the device. If you downloaded a program tied to someone else's Apple ID, delete it. You also need to remove all other objects associated with other accounts, except those configured in iTunes.
If you do not remember what content was purchased, try to perform selective synchronization for individual data types.

How to hide unused applications using iTunes in the "Shopping" section?

Sometimes, after buying a large number of applications, the “Shopping” section in the App Store is filled with unnecessary programs, as a result of which the necessary software in it becomes more and more difficult to find. At the same time, hiding applications in the App Store program on the iOS device itself only works until the first reboot of the store.
With iTunes, you can hide the required applications until they are opened manually.

Go to the iTunes purchase section. To do this, click on the profile button in the top panel, then click on “Purchases”.
Attached Image

Hover over the icon of the desired application. A cross appears in the upper left of the icon.
Attached Image

Click on it and the application will be hidden.

Display programs
If the application was hidden by mistake, you can return it to the shopping section.

Click "Store", then "View Account ...".
Attached Image

Confirm your login with your Apple ID.
Select "iTunes in the cloud" and click "Manage."
Attached Image

Find the application you need and click "Show." You can also select “Show All” (button in the lower right corner of the window).
