Serios samurize Serios Samurize is a powerful free and Russified utility to monitor a variety of parameters for your system. In fact, the program is a simplified object-oriented programming language with reference to the desktop. With it can be displayed on your computer's CPU data, the amount of free disk space, temperatures, fan speeds, the network activity and the myriad of other parameters. Any sensor available in your home system, can be included in the "dashboard", collected in Samurize. In addition to the sensor program is able to display the program guide, informer weather, calendar and more. The official website of the program is constantly updated with a list of new "baubles".
The program also provides the broadest possibilities for the design of the output data: it allows you to arrange each specific parameter in different versions (text, graph, histogram, ring-dial), set threshold values for it in the upper and lower ranges, and assign actions to be performed when these values intersect ; allows the use of graphic files of common formats as backgrounds and backdrops, supports layers and transparency effects.
As an output area, Samurize can use the entire surface of the desktop, the area of the system tray and the clock, and the “screen saver”. Also included with the program are plug-ins for Winamp and WMP, allowing you to read all the data about the track being played and the status of the player for further use.
The work of the program with memory is very interesting: the number of resources consumed by the client depends not only on the number of sensors used and “beautiful”, but on the frequency of their updates. If it seems to you that too many “brains” are spent on maintaining Samurize, just move the slider in the update speed settings a couple of tick marks, and the free memory will immediately increase.
The program is a modular design that includes the server, client and configurator.
Configurator is just the basic Samurize working environment. The contents of its windows is quite reminiscent of the work environment of visual programming language such as C ++ or VB. There is also a work area with a grid (this is in fact the surface of our desktop), which laid out the components of our image sensors. On the left is an area of customization and editing specific selected design element. To the right is a list of all the design elements of the project. People who are not familiar with programming languages, may at first glance to decide that the program is too complex to manage, but I assure you that this is not so. Skills in writing scripts and command units need only to create a highly advanced panel, and projects the baseline can create any person without any special skills.
The assembled project is saved in a small-ini file. It is very convenient to exchange panels, since the file sizes of even a very large project, as a rule, do not exceed 200 kilobytes. If you have created something completely unique and want to share it with the others, you need to lay out only “ini-shku” and your unique graphic backdrops.
The second part of the program is the client. It is resident in memory and provides the output panel on the desktop. By clicking on the client's icon, you can quickly select and replace a new panel, change its location settings, and so on.
I do not know the purpose of the server, but, as far as I understand, it allows you to collect data from several computers on the local network and output them to the “host” machine.
For a beginner the development of such a powerful and flexible tool can still be difficult, but on the Internet at the moment, there are many sites, including in Russian devoted to this wonderful program. On the websites of enthusiasts place step by step tutorials and lessons for the study of Samurize, learn how to write scripts and create their own small components that can be assembled into a complete project later. Samurize is good that all the work of other people can use to create your panels, simply by importing whole or in part in a foreign project, and then edit it on your own.

I also ask other forum “samuraiszovods” (there are probably a lot of them) to supplement and support this topic.
