Rep: (63)
No 2G-3G-LTE switch after iOS 8.1.x update

Apple iPhone 5S
Firmware: iOS 8.1

Jailbreak : Not
Description of the problem:
After the release of iOS 8.1, many users of 5S, 6, 6plus faced the problem of the lack of long-awaited switches of network modes.

There have been actions:
There were a lot of discussions on this score, we came to the conclusion that the problem lies in the operator’s settings (Settings - Cellular Communications - Cellular Data Network).

An active discussion of this problem is conducted on the office of the eplahereandhere

A big request to lay out screenshots of settings fromSettings - Cellular Communications - Cellular Data Network Those who have a network switch and who do not have it.
you are welcomesign the version of the device, the version of the operator (Settings - Basic - About this device - the Operator), the PRL version (tap on the operator line) and the region.

My suggestion:
Users whothere is specified switches lay out a screen with settings Settings - Cellular - Cellular Data Network (APN, username, password) and indicate the phone model.
In turn, users whonot specified switches lay out the screen with the settings Settings - Cellular - Cellular Data Network (APN, username, password) and indicate the phone model.

After receiving several pairs of users with the same operators and phone models, it will be possible to draw certain conclusions on the problem.

Most likely not so many people are concerned about this problem ...)))

I am very worried, because at work the network is constantly jumping and the battery in a moment sits down because of this.

* pezhikR1,
All settings and operator are similar. I live in Bashkiria. There are no switches.
What is most interesting about a colleague’s top five and the settings are the same, although PRL doesn’t show an operator when you click on an operator, but he does have switches. Both were updated by air. The problem seems to be in the software

In fact, 5s this problem did not touch, only the owners of 5S, 6 and 6plus.
By the way, somewhere in the forum it was mentioned that 5ki has a 32-bit architecture, and 5S, 6, 6plus has a 64-bit one, and they also linked this bug to this.
I study the off-line Epl forum myself, they write that the operator should receive updates, that is, if the operator version was Megafon 18.0, it should become Megafon 18.1
but the technical support of the opsox itself is not at all in the know when their settings will be updated, they are receiving calls with this problem, but they are not aware of o.O

There will be news or infa immediately accomplish your goal in the topic.
But the battery is generally terrible! I have an hour in standby mode, that is, I took off the charge, put it on the table, left. there were no incoming calls, no sms, not even messages in social networks, so in an hour of inactivity the charge became 93% what is it like? fine? : angry:: angry:: angry:

I forgot to say that at 5C, too, my colleague has no switches, but his operator is Beeline.

No 2G / 3G / LTE switch, after switching to 8.1 switches did not appear. The operator Megafon Kavkaz, a sim card without the support of LTE, went to the Megaphone center, replaced it with a sim with LTE support, no changes. He put all the SIM cards of the main opsoks, and those who have LTE and those who do not have LTE. Every time I did a hard reset and a full reset.

In none of the cases, the switches did not appear!

And yet, our opsocks are generally not aware of what it is about ...

Body: Iphone 6. Model A1586. Megafon 18.0

Now go to Settings-About the device, look at the column operator which figure is 18.0 or 18.1

And on 4S, what to switch? There is also no LTE. At all.

and if simki change? did not try? For the sake of clarification of the nuances, try to put the MTS on the 5S SIM card :) in theory, the switches should appear.

Here I think for the sake of experiment, tomorrow to buy SIM cards from MTS, Tele2 and Beeline to try with them, without any flashing, resetting the settings, just change the SIM, whether the switch appears. Unsubscribe

My thoughts on the topic: iPhone 6 PLUS (5.5 ") - Discussion (Post # 35154085)

The idea is certainly interesting, somewhere on the forums I read that the megaphone is NOT Apple certified, although on the off site of Epla, the list of supported Megafon operators is listed

Additional Information

Note. If you insert a new SIM card or micro-SIM card into your iPhone or iPad, you will need to download the settings of the new operator wirelessly. Operator Settings are only available for iPhone supported operators and partner operators for iPad. If the services of the partner operator are not used, you will need to set the operator settings manually. To obtain the necessary settings, contact your operator.off site

List of Operators Supported by Apple
Region Europe, Russia, Beeline, MTS, Megaphone (approx. IPhone technical support in this region is provided by the operator, not by Apple.)
