Short description:
FM-radio for the root / AOSP-firmware.

Description:
Spirit2 It is the successor Spirit FM Unlocked . But please note that Spirit1 Unlocked far more functions than the Spirit2 And the author will need at least a few months to catch up with the functional Spirit1 .

If you do not know what it means to "root" or "AOSP", - this app is not for you.
But if you have "hardened", and especially if you have a AOSP-piercing, and if you workSpirit Unlocked in digital audio mode, then you're in luck! :)
BecauseSpirit2 - this is the best the hell, the FM-radio application ever existed. If you think that there is another, better - please let the author, and his excuse for some of the available yet mistakes with the UI and the technical problems problems ...

Spirit2 will be on stage, "Beta" or "Early Preview" at least until Jan 15, 2014, so please, at this time, be prepared for an unfortunate mistake. The estimated date of "In production" from Jan 1 moves further until the author has failed to provide an acceptable stable performance on supported devices.

Please note that this app reports some information (mostly FM related) to a logging service every 10 minutes. This include a device ID and a once per hour randomized / dithered GPS location guaranteed to be inaccurate by 10-20 kilometres. Paid customers can disable this after 3 days of use and a 2nd licensing validation by tapping the frequency display and entering the number 47.
I promise to not do anything "evil" * with this information.
* Evil defined as whatever a reasonable quorom of Spirit users would deem as inappropriate or excessive.

HTC One in UART mode takes at least 8 seconds to start. Be patient. Best to install with BT off, run Spirit2 once, reboot, start BT and start Spirit2. BT is best left on at this time.

The "Free Download" is exactly the same as the "Play Store" version. It may be freely redistributed on any ROM or medium which is not sold, as long as it is not modified or misrepresented or configured as licensed or "Paid".

At this time, the only differences between Free and Paid are that:
(1) Information reporting can be disabled when Paid, after 3 days of use and a 2nd licensing validation, and
(2) RDS stops working on Free, which is the state 7 days after installation in the default Evaluation state.

Started up version of 10 December, the remaining glitches, while the latter generally showing a fig instead of the interface and the system says "in prog error occurred", however, the program does not close. Phone Xperia M single sim, drain.It works without root !!! The program does not ask Ruth, and no mention of superpower spirite2. when you run the interface is stuck exactly between screens, you need to swipe sideways.
Sound rotten apparently low sampling frequency. Can record the broadcast and not as crooked as a spirit. Station thumbed through the volume buttons. When you click on the sign "Power" all sort of works as it should, but when you switch to another software tray icon pops up again, there is no sound. Total, curiously enough, it is possible juzat but glitches buggy.

It should have been obvious, I guess, but I find that audio problems can be reduced or eliminated sometimes by disabling EQ and other audio effects in DSP manager or similar

I've been sidetracked by audio issues & re-architecture for some phones, but I've spent enough time on that for now andhave to move on to UI etc. for a while at least.

sorry that mnu sound worse.
It works subject much better than the Spirit 1 with digital processor, there is a bug that in a couple of closures there is no sound until you reboot, no time limit on the record, though, and no configuration, all that is in default, do exactly the first.
And the interface - the first and the next is not lying.

only "those" devices will work and Spirit2, Says the author. And he knows better) And the fact that while Spirit2 to "these" devices do not always work at all, I do not see anything strange. Spirit1 author wrote three years, and Spirit2 - an order of magnitude younger.
