Mini FaQ
1. Manufacturers indicate the capacity of banks in accordance with the capacity of batteries installed in the device. This technique is generally accepted.
2. When assessing the capacity of a bank, losses must be taken into account. For example, for the most common use case of a bank for charging a device’s battery, the following losses occur:
- loss when converting from 3.7 V battery to 5 V output voltage in the bank;
- loss when converting from 5 V input voltage to 4.2 V charging voltage in the charged device;
- losses in the rechargeable battery.
Assuming the efficiency of each portion of 0.9 obtain the overall efficiency of 0.9 * 0.9 * 0.9 = 0.73. This figure is approximate and depends on many factors, in particular, the charging regime. Manufacturer of this figure can not indicate fundamentally - because 2 of the 3 phases are not poverbanke and load. And nowhere stated that the measure is necessary in view of the losses in the user - for example, if poverbanku connected to LED lamp - leaving only the conversion loss is 5 V, and accordingly, the overall efficiency is 0.9, and even more.
3. Sometimes another value of capacity is written on the banks - capacity in terms of an output voltage of 5 V. Theoretically, this is more correct - after all, the device produces most often 5 V, but in practice it only causes confusion.
Firstly, because this figure is obtained by formal multiplication of the battery capacity by the voltage difference 3.7 / 5 = 0.74 without taking into account the efficiency, which can vary.
Secondly, the fact that the coefficient obtained is close to that obtained in Section 2 is nothing more than a coincidence, and the output voltage may not be 5 V ...
It is easier to explain with an example: Pipo and Cube tablets have batteries of the same capacity, but Cube charges from 5 V, and Pipo charges from 9 V (my bank gives 5, 9 and 12 volts).
So, when charging Pipo, the capacity of a bank must be multiplied by 3.7 / 9 = 0.41 and, accordingly, will the bank be enough for a smaller number of charges? No, 5 and 9 volts are just intermediate values, but energy is still described in item 2 - both at Cube and Pipo, the bank will provide the same number of charges (at Pipo, even slightly more - 9 V loss less)
4. All these figures are approximate - the parameters and conversion efficiency depend on the mode, and even when charging devices, the output capacity will be different depending on whether the tablet is charged with a 2A charge current or a phone with a 0.5A charge current. other devices - not the only use !!!
5. Unforgettable about the temperature mode of operation - from 0 to +40 РЎ0.
At low temperatures, even lower than 0 РЎ0, the battery self-discharge increases by several times, i.e. If you carry it in the cold in a bag, then at the most crucial moment you can get a discharged battery. Also, when cooled, the battery capacity and its life are very significantly reduced. If it is possible, do not freeze the battery !!!

Real capacity of banks.

oh for a long time did not look at the topic. The coolook box is designed to work with unprotected batteries (it can work with protected ones too, but then there will be less efficiency)
coolook already has protective electronics on board

from 2 cell options
This is quite adequate, or rather everything that looks like this, because it is often written completely different brand names
http://bestechpower.com/pcmpcbaforpowerbank/PCB-H085.html

all that looks like this, I would not advise. sickly electronics can burn out

Rep: (78)
avglushkov Thanks for the useful information. And you can credit a normal battery 18650, preferably on eBay.

Rep: (108)
Only brand companies can be considered normal:
Panasonic
Samsung
LG (LG chem)
Sanyo (now owned by Panasonic)

Panasonic is the most capacious but on average 2 times more expensive than the rest
Sanyo in my opinion bends prices by 15-25%
Samsung is very high quality and cheap in second place
LG is the most profitable in terms of quality / price

Yesterday came mycoolook PB-2000andbatteriesto him. Now I conduct tests on charging speed. Here are the preliminary results:
The charge of the box is 100%.
Subject - Google Nexus 4
Charging at 15% through OUT A (start charging 45%) for 23 minutes.
Charging at 15% through OUT B (start charging 45%) for 23 minutes.
Charging from the mother W / U through the network by 15% (start of charging 60%) in 21 minutes.
So, the difference in terms of 100% is about 15 minutes, which is good news!
Regarding the capacity of the box. The theoretical capacity of the battery is 13,600 max. Estimated 13600 * 0.7 = 9520, i.e. Taking into account the error, it should be enough for 4 full charging devices (capacity 2100). Starting tomorrow morning, I begin tests on the number of charge cycles.

Rep: (108)
theoretically 13,600, and in practice 13,000
and with a loss of 9100 mAh

Rep: (66)
Well, the bottom line is that there really should be a little more than 9000, which is also not extremely bad.

good evening. Tell me please. I ordered myself a coolook pb-2000 and a Panasonic battery for 3,000 with something a milliamp hour.
There is an incomprehensible glitch, I charged the batteries in it, I connect the phone, all five lights come on and after a second they go out. The phone for this second type is charging and that's it.
What am I doing wrong when the battery first inserted and just connected the phone, the middle light came on and the phone began to charge. How to normally turn it on for charging?

Hello everyone after reading the forum I realized that there is no freebie Thank you for it.
I found that about this you think it is again a hoax?
how expedient are these

closer to my heart, I'm afraid that crap

Or advise something like that not so much but at least about 9000 mah
(I’m determined to buy seriously, so I’m not going to save, advise on normal things)
Thank!!!!

The first version of the “other opera” in general is an alternative to nickel-metal AA hydride batteries, now an endangered species among the batteries
The second option, as I understand it, was planned to be used with the first, it is not compatible with it. with other akkami, the box will of course fulfill its task, but in my opinion it is not practical
the third is simply a risk from which it is made even the seller may not know, only the one who collected and the one who bought and dismantled knows

I sent you a personal proposal for a coolook with Panasonic batteries

Rep: (0)
Thanks both for the answer and for the offer (from me +) I still rummaged on the Internet and on the panda and realized that if I am determined to carry with me an external Akum, then it is necessary that it be like a column and then I will be happy. + if you're lucky, the flashlight is also good
How do you like this option pinned me and like here nebmanesh
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/New-5000mAh...1101702589.html
I would order a phone but wait for your opinion and can anyone tell me an alternative (mandatory column) with an even larger battery the more the better (optional phone)
And the most worthwhile

here is another option is it dangerous or not?

eh long could not get to the company
regards to your choice. I cannot advise any of the above. I am committed to the fact that the device should be highly specialized and perform its main function as efficiently as possible, for the same reason I don’t even use a camera in my phone, I prefer a camera

The flashlight in my practice has never been useful to me, and I sincerely believe that there should be no flashlight, or card reader, or speakers, or an embedded phone in an external battery.

In extreme cases, buy a square portable speaker, open it, disconnect the native battery and replace it with another one with a larger capacity outside.

Or

Rep: (108)
take it first, it’s cheaper, and people generally don’t complain about it, just buy from another seller, because This does not send to Russia

Rep: (1)
And who did not take such a box?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mobile-Power-Suppl...=item2a2a8817e7

Rep: (108)
good box, maybe take a couple of pieces soon,
at first glance, the microcircuit is much more powerful than the like
the only negative is that you can accidentally flip the voltage switch during the charging process and burn the charged object!

good box

And how to charge it from the network? The photo shows one cord, and the plug is not visible. Do you need to buy a power plug separately? Does the kit include various adapters?

Rep: (108)
it also says any charge with voltage from 16 to 24 volts (1.5A)
5.5mm connector on the left

in the search type dc power supply 19v 5.5mm
or here's a 16 volt option
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Power-Supply-With-...=item1e7d8c3226

Rep: (2)
avglushkov Thank. And adapters from USB to mini, micro are included? It is written that the 1pc mobile charger + cable + adapter connector (not including the battery) is included, but they are in the photo

Rep: (108)
you are welcome
I do not know, in one place it says "Pls note that the battery andcable not included"
in another "1pc mobile charger + cable + adapter connector (not including the battery)"
need to ask for sold
