Actually now there are 3 variations of this processor, 2800/3400/4000 MHz.
Is there a major difference in frequencies, if you make a stumbling block for a gaming machine, I do not really understand this, but for example my Core i5 4210H never got 100% clogged, half +/-, only the capabilities of a video card were limited. Actually from here and a question, whether there is a sense? The difference in 10k from 2800 to 4k

P.S map plan GTX 980 4 gb
Mother MSI Z170A

Rep: (2956)
* Eldicrosh,
No, the frequency does not play a significant role. Like i7 compared to i5 with a 980 card. But considering that you have chosen a motherboard for overclocking, you will need the processor with the K index, but it is not represented by the frequency 2.8

Tell me whether to change the processor core i5 760 to core i7 880 or is there no particular difference? just the best processor supported by the board in my core i7 880

* Abduldag,
If not expensive, then of course you can!

Although:http: //www.anandtech.c...nch/product/191? vs = 192
Ie, if not at all expensive - you can :)

Intel Skylake processors can be deformed by the downforce of coolers

Hello! Sorry for offtopic, I did not find where to write. Help me find the current driver for Intel Core i3-530, Windows 64-bit.

Harrowing continues:A bug was found in Skylake processors.

So - problems known for today:
Reluctance to work with DDR3 on standard voltage
Deformation from a massive cooler
Hanging on mattresses

It's time to switch to AMD! : rofl:

and, accordingly, one more plus in the piggy bank of verified Hasvelos

PS It's sad of course

Plus skayleikov - the ability to drive a bus well, even processors without K.

* DevMob,
* WSonic,
I hope these problems will be fixed quickly. Somehow frivolous for Intel, especially such a problem as "hangs when performing complex mathematical calculations" :-(

It's time to switch to AMD!

Many are still sitting on Ivy Bridge, but there is also Haswell: D So you should not worry :)

I myself am the same user of Ivy Bridge, although I am already thinking of switching to a new platform. It is a pity that the Z77 motherboard is no longer under itx.

Let's just say - they are not where you are! :)

I had the opposite situation, there were no normal atx boards for Ivy (some asroki and incomprehensible gigabyte that I passed back, because the network and sound fell off). Therefore, I switched to Haswell, although the same i7-3770K still feels fine in games or, for example, in a render.
