This make the kernel smaller and a bit faster.

I also made so all steeping is always around 150MHz. That should make the GUI smoother.

So all frequencey has its own steeping settings.
But it only works if you use cfo.conf.


The screen frequency is using 62hz instead for the default setting on 60hz.
It works little better with the higher OC frequency.

I made all mount to noatime. Should be better.

Ask your rom maker for an update file for it, dont ask about it in the tread.


**** FAQ ****
Support (done) = it works, but it dont means that there is a tool for it.
3: e part program = Is a program that is not coming from me and if you use it and your phone crash or behave strange then its your own fault and dont complain here about it.
Over volting (OV) = more mv to the cpu / gpu
Under volting (UV) = less mv to the cpu / gpu
BLN = Cost you 2500Euro to get it and if you dont want to pay for it then just shout up about it.

I will add all things needed to change all the settings in an app.
Right now there is Gingerbread kernel control, but it has not all settings yet, but most of them.
You CANT change any settings in the recovery either. So dont ask about that in the tread.
Dont use 3: e part program to change things if you are not 100% sure you know what you are doing. Well if you know what you are doing you dont need a 3: e part program to start with and dont ask about 3: e part program in the tread.

**** Change CPU frequency ****
Make a file in / system / etc and name it cfo.conf
In that file you write one of these values:
1300MHZ
1200MHZ
1000MHZ
800MHZ

Save the file and restart your phone. Now it should use the settings you did write.
You need to have a tool for this to be able to see the system files.
Dont ask about it in the tread. If you dont know how you should not even use it.
You can also use my app for this.

**** Stagefright ****
Stagefright will give you some more speed and smoothness to your phone.
But it dont work for all. Some video format seams not to work right on some
phones. You can try modoplayer to play almost every format the phone support.
But if you dont play much video format then you can enjoy the extra speed.

Now you can turn on and off this settings in the kernel.
Make a file in / system / etc and name it stage.conf
In that file you write TURNON if you want to have it turned on.
If you dont want it then remove the file or write something else in it.
You can also use my app for this.

I did make a guide for cleaning up the phone.
Use it if your phone is not 100% right.
There is other way to clean the phone, but this way is the way I use and I know it do work 100%.

This means that you can have zero battery drain or a huge battery drain at the beginning.
Let the phone go through 3-5 complete charge cycle to make the battery indicator more accurate.

Use titanium backup for making a daily backup of your programs.
Also make a backup in recovery daily so you always have a fresh backup.
If you do this you are 100% safe if something happens to your phone.
Also make sure you DONT run out of space on your sdcard.

Or to make more memory for the program you running the front. This is often good for very demanding game or program.

Change from beta2;
I did change the kernel from 600HZ to 340HZ and hope that will give a smoother GUI. This setting is done for the screen use 68HZ and 340HZ kernel is better for that frequency.

Have also changed how the cpu is steeping. Now it steep 102MHz instead of 64MHZ. This should give a more even steeping and smoother cpu frequency changes.

I also did put version information in the / system / DamianGTO / Version
so you can see what kernel you run on.


To make the change in kernel you can now use Ultimate Kernel Control.
With Ultimate Kernel Control Pro you can also change UV settings how you like it. (Comming soon)

First time you use this kernel and you use the recovery you will get error message about missing file.
This files will be created when you choose an option and the massage will not pop up anymore

The low memory killer minfree settings are:
Option 24MB ->6MB, 8MB, 16MB, 20MB, 22MB, 24MB
Option 32MB ->10MB, 16MB, 20MB, 24MB, 28MB, 32MB
Option 46MB ->10MB, 16MB, 24MB, 40MB, 44MB, 46MB
Option 60MB ->1MB, 2MB, 4MB, 40MB, 50MB, 60MB


Make SURE you do a fresh BACKUP before you even think of using this.
This OC is set at 1280MHZ. That's 280MHZ over stock.

If you want to use OC you need to go into Ultimate options and then CPU frequency options and choose 1280MHZ.
If you want to use UC you need to go into Ultimate options and then CPU frequency options and choose 800MHZ. This will save you more battery.

If you want to under volt (UV) then you go into recovery and choose Ultimate options and then CPU undervolt options.

There you can choose this.
Default, 25 undervolt, 50 undervolt, 75 Undervolt, 100 undervolt, 125 undervolt.
Try one step at the time. Begin with 25 undervolt.
If your phone freezes anywhere then go back one step.
Check a variety of apps and see if it's stable.
Try a benchmark and a game to see that the phone can handle the lower voltage.
Dont forget to try the phone in idle mode.
If all worked you can try next step.

All change is done in recovery or with Ultimate Kernel Control for safety reasons.
If your phone freezes you can always change it back in the recovery and start the phone as normal.

WARNING: Dont use ANY program / script that sets OC / UV / UV or memory settings.
You will loose the ability to use the settings in the recovery and you can be in big trouble if you have a file thats loads every time and make the phone freeze.
I have done some things to prevent this, but I cant know all program that mess with these settings. If you still use them, then DO NOT complain to me.

If you want to use CIFS, Android logger or TUN you need to go into Ultimate options and then Kernel options and turn them on. Default is off.

Q: Is BLN enabled in the kernel?
A: No it is not. For reasons stated many times now I did not enable it and never will. Use NoLed.

Sharpness / color related questions:
Q: Why do not you have the same sharpness and color fix that Hardcore uses?
A: Because I do not like the way it looks. I like the color bright and the text crisp, not over sharp and blurry.

Q: Can I still asking about this?

Well we all want speed, so do I.
Thats bugs me most is that i cant get Ext2 to work (yet).
But I have removed the journal from the mounted partitions and that give speed close to Ext2.

So I made a script to be used in CWM and ONLY if you have converted to Ext4.
Before you use this script do make a backup.

This script will first make a check on the partition before it will remove the journal.
If it dont find any error it should go very fast to remove the journal on the partitions.

Do use this script on your own risk and make sure you have a backup.
