How I Met New Year
First question: In short, I decided to set up LMDE: D on my discretion: D began confidently and with enthusiasm (as in Windows) to remove unnecessary default applications to me (audio-graphic-text applications). After some time, I noticed that the desktop lost the former look. Released menus. Something stopped running. As it turned out, together with remote applications (video-audio-audio-office graphics), I once died some dependencies. I decided to reboot, but I could not get into the system. When entering a password, some error popped out. I do not remember what. As a result, I could not get into the system. And now what to do with a snapshot TimeShift is also not clear. I had to re-roll the entire system from scratch. Everything seemed to be working fine, but new items appeared in Grub Menu. If before the loader menu looked like this:
LMDE 4 Debbie.
Advanced parameters for LMDE 4 Debbie
Windows 10 (on / Dev / SDA1)
then then additional points appeared
Memory test :
LMDE 4 Debbie.
Advanced parameters for LMDE 4 Debbie
Memory test
Memory test
Windows 10 (on / Dev / SDA1)
Customizing the system, I again called somewhere and had to put the system for the third time (I feel that not last: lol :) And then the bootloader began to look like this:
LMDE 4 Debbie.
Advanced parameters for LMDE 4 Debbie
Windows 10 (on / Dev / SDA1)
Windows 10 (on / Dev / SDA2)
That is, this time the Memory Test disappeared, but in addition to Windows 10 (on / dev /
sda1 ) A new item Windows 10 appeared (on / dev /
sda2 ). When I go through Windows 10 (on / dev / sda1), I see in Windows conductor two disk C: and D:. But when I go through Windows 10 (on / dev / sda2), then the third disk E: (reserved by the system) appears in the explorer. It sees the bootloader folders and so much.
Tell me, please, how to remove the item - Windows 10 from the bootloader now (on / dev / sda2)? If not hard, I would still explain from where he took there. And why after each installation a different loader menu appears?
Second question: In general, Million has accumulated over these days. And do not all find answers. At least such an example: if necessary, I need to sometimes throw in the folders of other accounts accounts any files (documents, audio-video, etc.) on one popular resource read to copy the file to another account (Marina) to the folder "Documents", then to me (admin) you need to get access rights. I am writing in the terminal:
$ sudo chown -r admin / home / marina /
All files without problems are copied from the ADMIN account to the Marina account. But now, when I complete the Admin session, I can't enter the Marina record. Click the mouse on the name of the account and nothing happens. In that article, nothing was written about it. And Google did not suggest anything on this topic. Then I went back as Admin and returned access rights:
$ sudo chown -r marina / home / marina /
Finally completed the Admin session and, finally, was able to log in to the Marina record. It should be so? Each time a $ sudo chown -r command, you need to return access rights to this way? Or are there other proper ways to copy files to other accounts?
Every day I like Linux Mint: blush:
