“We see that today the nature of consumption has changed a lot,” explained the top manager of the cellular operator. - If, until recently, the leading service was a voice, now calls are becoming a secondary service, and data transmission becomes the primary one.
And this volume is growing at a frantic pace.
For several years, the average amount of traffic per person increases significantly, and the consumption of leading customers reaches 1.5 gigabytes per day and this is already a mass phenomenon. At the same time, mobile devices are rapidly evolving.
With the arrival of iPhones, an HD screen appeared, screens with 4K resolution replaced it, and soon smartphones with a higher pixel density will appear.
In addition, other fashionable gadgets such as virtual reality will be developed.
This means people have very demanding network devices right now.
And if today the consumption of subscribers requires speeds of 8-14 megabits, then in the near future we need 25 megabits per user.
We stand on the threshold of a new revolution and want to be ready for it.

One of the main driving forces of this revolution are subscribers "professing" unlimited tariffs.
In Moscow, the growth of such tariffs occurs exponentially. Previously, Anlim was a specific service, it was used by the elected and the volume was a very small percentage of total sales.
Today, unlimited tariffs account for more than 60 percent of the operator’s sales and this figure is constantly growing.
Beeline is not without reason called itself the best unlimited operator.
In order to bring together all the users of the Unlim tariff in Moscow, it will be necessary to fill 6 stadiums the size of Luzhniki.
But at the same time, it is clear that none of this army of subscribers is morally ready to consume a lot of slow Internet.
But on unlimited tariffs consumption is 5 times (!) Higher than on others.

According to experts, with such a huge increase in consumption, the required amount of traffic cannot be provided to 4G technology in just a few years.
Creating a 5G network is a necessary condition for the Internet to be fast, easily accessible, high-quality and uninterrupted.
Large-scale modernization began in 2018, now a new network is built more than 80 percent.
The remaining old base stations will be replaced with new ones by the end of this summer.

Beeline’s partner in this project is Huawei, which manufactures, installs and will service it.
At the first stage of modernization (here we are talking about replacing old equipment with new), Beeline invested about 5 billion rubles in its supernetwork. Approximately the same amount will be spent on expansion - thousands of new base stations will be built in Moscow, since a more dense network is required to launch 5G.

In addition, the new network will become the basic component of the Internet of Things.
A good example of such a device is the Tesla unmanned electric vehicle.
In order to constantly collect data about your movement, use the navigation and media resource, Tesla needs several gigabytes per day.

But the era of the Internet of things is not far off.

Beeline promises to complete the second phase of the technological modernization of the network, as a result of which it will be almost ready for the transition to the fifth-generation standard in 2020.

But at the same time they refused to file a claim, referring to the fact that in their system there is no fact of a call from the company's employees to my number.
Yes, and senior specialists, this is some kind of bullshit, one of them tried to assure me today that if I leave one city of Tatarstan to another, within the republic, it will be considered leaving the home region ...
This is normal?
When I heard this nonsense, I fell into a stupor.
If a senior specialist allows herself this, and practically has no knowledge of her own company and the products she sells, then what about ordinary marinas and vadimkahs?
Leaky company, and after all was once the best, the most expensive telecom in Russia, now it has slipped below the plinth, even Rostelecom is much better compared to Beeline, despite some incompetence of its employees and Internet speed limit after reaching the threshold of 200 GB, plus a number of substantiated claims on my part, already recognized by Rostelecom.
