Tell me.
I use Wexler T7055 a couple of weeks. Now in the "Books" menu, when you select from the list, the library update flashes ... that's all.
The book itself can only be opened through the explorer.

Also, settings are not saved, including font. I set it up every time I open a book.

I didn’t figure it out with footnotes either (they are at the end of the book) (I open the same file on a PC via cr3, footnotes at the bottom of each page)

And even in the settings there are not many functions described in the Manual (for example, "Sleep Mode" or "Button Press Sound), but this is not so important ...

The firmware does not change anything (does not even clear the memory)

W7055 ->The audio player did not display covers embedded in mp3 (both ID3v1 and ID3v2). I found an interesting way to fix the problem, maybe someone will help:

1) Make extract covers (jpg) from mp3 file using Tag & Rename
2) Open jpg in Windows Paint: D
3) Save jpg
4) We embed this jpg saved from the paintball to the mp3 file and ...

Hooray, the covers began to appear!

Yes, one more observation. Books are more fun to read in PDF, saved from Word. For a long time I adjusted the Word file (fonts / sizes) in the end, it seemed to work out well. I attached the file (to the moderators - maybe it was issued incorrectly, there is a spoiler, etc., sorry).

Did this:
- open in Word Temp-wexler.docx
- copy text from the txt-file of the book (keep text only - so that the fonts of the original Word file do not change)
- I save from Word (Word 2010) as a PDF - for this, Adobe Acrobat must be installed on the computer
- I rewrite in Wexler 7055 and read! : rolleyes:

For a year now I have been reading only in pdf, converted through this program.

Converting via fb2pdf (method 2) is preferable for me.

But the question remained, when opening a pdf file, there are fields of about 10 mm on each side.
Are there ways to get rid of them?

Honestly, I did not fool around with the fields, apparently this is the settings of the book itself, although the txt book displays borderless. I like pdf with fields even more;)

Starting the program for firmware from the header, the base one and the new one, is successful, it sees the device (Found one msc device), then I specify the firmware file, the program opens it successfully, then I press Switch, and the Switch Fail error appears. What to do? Why could there be a mistake?

I unscrewed 4 screws from the ends, removed the front panel, unscrewed 4 more fixing screws on the board, including the one that secures the oval bottom button. Gently turned the screen down, carefully lifted the back cover. The remaining side buttons are released. I see the Rockchip RK2738 chip and ElectronTech EM63A16STS-6G. There are two smaller identical chips. Etrontech has 27 legs on one side, those two smaller ones have 24. Which of these flash?

Successfully flashed a brick with updated firmware from the header.
Brick was detected in Win7 at the hospital as an unknown USB device, did not accept the driver, did not appear in the explorer. On XP was not determined at all. On a laptop with Win7, it was also not determined at all.
The procedure was as follows:
1. The closure of 29-30 feet of the flash chip, which is on the right in the bottom photo, and the connection of the USB cable. Why exactly the right chip .. Well, I just started with it, and there, apparently, I guessed or lucky. Understood in electronics, can clarify this point .. By the way, for some reason, the sewing with a needle did not occur, I tried it three times. For the fourth time, he leaned the nozzle-awl from a screwdriver, it worked. He leaned, did not stick between the legs neither a needle nor an awl.
2. The termination of the circuit after the system responds to the appeared "unknown device". Next, install the driver on this device with an indication of the folder corresponding to the architecture and version of the OS.
3. Opening the firmware program, adding the firmware image, clicking on the "Erase all blocks" button, ticking "Reallocate system disk .." and "Format user disk" and clicking on "Upgrade".
After that, the language is restored from Chinese to Russian, clicking anywhere on the screen no longer leads to eerie multi-colored stripes and an immediate reboot.
Maybe someone will need a description.
