Settings and description of the low-pass filter. Maybe someone will come in handy, maybe add to the cap. (Found here on the forum)
Sharp Roll-off is the driest, flattest, and thorniest sound. It gives a little more micro details, but loses much in musicality to other filters. The vocals are also freshish. Instruments are subjectively at the same distance from the listener. It may well be suitable for those who love the "evil" sound (if at all applicable to this player and fast plates.
Slow Roll-off is the exact opposite of the previous one. The scene is heard up and down, a kind of 3D panorama arises. The height of the vertical arrangement of the instruments is quite well felt and, in general, the air between the instruments is most felt. Vocals are as close as possible to the listener, it has more volume and physicality. Also, from all modes, this vocals are served as softly as possible, you can even say velvet, as it is not trite. The aftertune is best worked out. Music sounds very cohesive and musical, without slipping into dregs. Vocals, strings, winds in this mode are as juicy and pleasant as possible. Treble is slightly moved back, while losing a little in detail, which in my opinion is not critical, but it may not suit fans of treble.
Short delay Sharp Roll-off is a cross between the first two, and in terms of frequency of use, it can be put in second place. The scene is flatter than the previous mode, wider than in height and depth, the vocal moves backward, the treble work better and go ahead. The biggest difference in vocals is the added sharpness (in the area of sibilants), without losing much of physicality. But this sharpness does not go beyond reasonable limits, and can be beneficial when you want a little more drive from the vocals.
Short delay Slow Roll-off is also more like a combination of slow and short filters. According to the attenuation and the scene, something like a slow roll-off, there is depth in it, but in the RF region somewhere, rather with the spinal cord, there is a slight failure. Moreover, this point is difficult to describe, the treble is not that failed, they are there, but there is a feeling of some kind of unnaturalness, because of which there is a discord in some places, and in the delivery of vocals, too, something starts to be missed.
Super Slow Roll-off is a very specific filter. All that has been said about slow roll-off can be safely multiplied by two. But as the Poles say, “what’s busy is not sensible” - therefore, along with the monumental scene and powerful vocals, an even greater loss of detail, a much more viscous sound, with an influx of friend’s instruments to each other are added here and this is already too much, as for me. In general, for fast styles, this filter is definitely contraindicated, but a variety of ambient, psychill and the like go on it very well.
