It was necessary to choose a launcher (mode) 4k, in this mode there is a choice of codecs (vp9). It is possible to choose a launcher when you first start the program, or when you start the program in time to press the button back on the remote (this is if automatically selected when starting up)

The developer promptly answers the questions himself. It turned out that both the speed and quality of the video can be adjusted in the 4K launcher. That is, I have a 1080p TV, but I need to launch a 4K launcher, select there once the video quality setting for my FHD TV. The next time the program starts, the video settings will pick up from the previous time. Great program!

You have 1080 mode enabled, try 4K
Now I looked again - the speed button was not pressed, but when the "extra" was pressed (i.e., when neither additional nor quality was selected).
P.S. In general, of course, the management of the program is u ... somewhat uncommon, not particularly user friendly, but unlike the stock, youtube works much better. IMHO.
