Do not use black and transparent themes on android 8.1! They cause an interface error.(bootlap)or the system starts to work inadequately (crashes, errors, etc.) Only color accents work adequately.

But in the archive with firmware 8 android there is also splash.img, if it does not work, just sew back the native one and that's it.
