For the city, I think this is a normal indicator. But as far as I understand, only the channel for the video stream works through the repeater, there is no telemetry. The flyby mode also failed to turn on. But apparently I also have little experience flying on this copter, I need to practice more. (It was the second flight on it).
And through a normal 5.8 GHz FPV video stream, of course, it will be better for flight control. VLC removes the friezes, but the delay remains so as not to fly “not there”, you need to stop anyway and wait for the movement in the video stream to stop, and only then choose a new direction.

I still can not understand why better.
If the wifi network disappears, the picture disappears in both applications.
And if the network is caught, then how can a digital picture differ? Lags because they depend (or should depend on) the signal level, and not on the application.

4 grams camera with transmitter and 7 grams battery. Minus a couple of grams cut from a beetle)) And the 1S battery for 260 mAh was enough for flying 2-beet batteries and there was still left.

I on the contrary "removed" buffering. Put 0.1 seconds. The delay is packaged video stream for transmission over Wi-Fi. Plus stream with HD resolution requires more resources during processing. Although VLC is a free player, but run-in for millions of users, everything is already "licked out" in it so that it clearly shows the picture even through IP. I suppose that the VLC developer will not share his experience with anyone. Here are the Chinese and they use some kind of free libraries to display the video stream from their camera.

In the case of video transmission from an analog camera with a PAL / NTSC frame size of 5.8 GHz FPV, this stream is digitized only between the transmitter and the receiver. Therefore, there is practically no delay even on budget transmitters / receivers.

I do not argue that the helmet is better for a normal FPV of 5.8 GHz to fly. I have another purpose for B5W - I want to take it on vacation, and I do not plan to take FPV helmet with me on vacation. ;) I need to make the most of the "boxed" capabilities of this copter. The beetle cannot record a 15 minutes long movie in one file. Maximum - 11 minutes. Writes one file, then starts writing the second file. Without a pause.
Even if during the flight you see on the phone screen that the 14th minute of the recording is on, in fact, this is already the second file being written.
You cannot write to the card in the drone and the smartphone at the same time.

11 minutes = 900 megabytes.

Waiting for such a flight time when recording on a regular camera is turned on is very optimistic for this quadcopter model. Recording this duration will be possible only if you turn on the camera immediately after completing the calibration of the compass and before the copter is fully seated. (IMHO)
I think the manufacturer cuts videos for 11 minutes based on his actual estimate of the duration of flights of this model, anyway, the video will need to be cut to leave only the necessary fragments. Taking off and landing is not particularly spectacular in my opinion.
