Since there is a lot of information on the Internet that Vega 8 is more efficient than AMD Radeon 535 and there is no sense in the latter, hesitated between a model with a discrete AMD Radeon 535 graphics card and a model without an AMD Radeon 535 graphics card. ASER was assured of technical support that Dual Graphics worked, so doubts have fallen away. In fact, it turned out to be not so, Vega 8 in dual works at runoff frequencies, perhaps this will be fixed in new driver releases. On the performance itself, see the review, I’ll write I just tested it both in dual and with the Radeon 535 disabled. Vega 8 in fact is 20-50% weaker in games, where AMD Radeon 535 allows you to play at low settings, Vega 8 does not pull at all . In most cases, it showed half the FPS from Dual Graphics with AMD Radeon 535. In addition, Vega 8 is clamped on the TDP and, with a short load, goes into throttling. The exception was a DOOM game with the Vulkan API enabled. In the game, Vega 8 worked by default and with average settings it showed at least 35 FPS, on average 50 FPS. Perhaps in other games with the Vulkan API, everything will be fine with Vega 8. In the CinebenchR15, AMD Radeon 535 scored 53.5 points and slightly overtook the NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M. The AMD Ryzen 5 2500U scored 592 points and slightly overtook the Intel Core i7-3720QM. When recording video, about 5-10% of the FPS is lost, please take this into account when watching the test.
