Not even out of cost considerations, but to better sell new cars, because the main thing in a car is multimedia, optics, wheels, then the engine and other trivia. Put fashionable body kits, plus casting 19 inches and any stool will turn into a dream car.
The developers of mirrorlink and google are not interested in old devices either, since they certainly get royalties from the device sold, so automakers, too, no one will force to upgrade. If you want entertainment, order a new ShGU from a dealer under kilobax (in the case of the Discover Pro 3 kilobax).

As for me, this is the most successful GU at the moment in terms of price / quality ratio. Even the Pioneers for 30k have specific sores. And here - everything works their boxes, nothing to break and pick, as in the Chinese GU is not necessary. And the speakerphone works great. I am satisfied :)
