All firmware happens through Bluetooth and directly from your mobile device. Therefore, it is desirable to have a charge of the phone and bracelet more than 30%. Also, if you want to get the latest version of the official firmware for bracelets without NFC, the standard Xiaomi Mi Fit application is suitable, which after the first connection of the bracelet will install the latest version of the firmware with the language corresponding to your mobile device (for devices with NFC, this method will not work for them only modified firmware and instructions below)
Instructions for firmware Mi Band 3
According to this manual, you can install any firmware. Official and no, roll back, overstate, in any order. You need to know that the firmware consists of 3 files: Mili_wuhan.fw - The firmware itself
Mili_wuhan.res - firmware resources
Mili_wuhan.ft - Font 1 (for Russian firmware)
So, for example, to switch from Chinese firmware to Russian, you need to flash these three files.
Instruction: 1. You will need to install on the phone GadgetBridge (the program that will flash your bracelet)
LINK 2. Run any MiFit that you have. If you do not have MiFit, you can put for example
official version from google play and tie a bracelet to it, after the bracelet is tied - read on. We climb into the settings of the bracelet - "Profile - Mi Band 3 - Visibility" and turn on the visibility.
3. Run GadgetBridge. If the list already has your Mi Band 3, then click on the Mi Band 3 sign and wait for it to be written "connected." If you can not connect, remove the Mi Band 3 from the list in GadgetBridge and restart the phone. After the reboot, launch GadgetBridge, click + and add your Mi Band 3. The word "connected" should appear.
4. Download the archive with the firmware you need and unpack it into the phone's memory. Next, consider an example
offrus_mb3.zip (official Russian firmware 1.3.0.4 for Mi Band 3).
5. After your bracelet is connected to GadgetBridge, we minimize GadgetBridge and open your file manager on the phone. Open the folder where the firmware is unpacked. You should see 3 files - Mili_wuhan.fw, Mili_wuhan.res, Mili_wuhan.ft. I use SolidExplorer as a file manager, and I will tell about it as an example. Long press on the file Mili_wuhan.fw, open the item open with, select GadgetBridge. GadgetBridge should open with a suggestion to install the firmware, click install.
I strongly recommend that you turn on the “Flight” mode during the firmware and stop MiFit, because at any moment there may come a notification that can disrupt (interrupt) the firmware process.
6. After the firmware, again open the folder with the firmware files and similarly flash Mili_wuhan.res and Mili_wuhan.ft
7. The order of the firmware is. Flash the first file with the .fw extension, then the file with the .res extension, then the file with the .ft extension
8. That's all, now you can close GadgetBridge permanently and open MiFit. If GadgetBridge is no longer needed, you can even delete it.
9. The visibility of the bracelet in MiFit (see point 2) after all the firmware is better to turn off, because This adversely affects the battery consumption of the bracelet.
Addition: If you already have official firmware 1.3.0.4 installed for example and you want to install any modification, for example the same 1.3.0.4, but with a modified date format, you only need to flash the files that the modification author himself laid out. Usually it is only a file with the extension .fw. If you want to switch from, for example, 1.2.0.8 immediately to modification 1.3.0.4 with a modified date format, you should flash the missing files from the original 1.3.0.4 in order to avoid various problems.
