Changes to Android 7.0 / 8.0 firmware

Firmware for EMUI 5.x ++ consists of 2 files (FullOTA PV) and three for (FullOTA), in the second archive update_data_full ...... zip is not just an application, but part of the shell. You cannot upgrade to Android 7.0 / 8.0 with a single update.app file from update.zip! Updating is possible only through HWOTA, etc., in case of action not according to the instructions, you risk getting the firmware floor with the name of the firmware version NRD9TESTKEYS!In this case, there is no part of the system, no keyboard, NFC, Bluetooth, smart buttons, updates, the project menu, and a bunch of bugs.

The second stage - installing the firmware FRD-DL00C00B396

DownloadHWOTA7_1(I rebuilt it from HWOTA7, especially for the firmware FRD-DL00C00B396, because there are only two archives in it - update.zip and update_full_FRD-DL00_dualcu_cn.zip). Unpack on a SD card, get a folder "HWOTA7_1", in which we put two files from the firmware FRD-DL00C00B396.
File update.zip leave unchanged, and secondupdate_full_FRD-DL00_dualcu_cn.ziprename toupdate_full_hw.zip.
Reboot to TWRP and flash archivehwota7_1_update.zipto upgrade firmware. Do not forget during the process of installing the firmware to pull the USB-cable from the phone. Incomplete firmware can be installed, but we don’t pay attention to it - it is not so important.

Third Stage - Upgrade to OREO

Install TWRP in the eRecovery section, checking whether the bootloader is unlocked. In the case of blocking - re-unlock.

The fourth stage - getting root-rights
