Reason for editing: Forced HEVC for OP6

In terms of viewing angle - 1080/60, 4k / 60 are the same and wider than those in 720, 1080/30 and 4k / 30

It's all about EIS, it cuts the image

The viewing angle ... wider than those

So naturally wider, since at 60 fps without EIS, which reduces the frame for stabilization, but module 1. Everything is exactly the same on smarts with 1 module, where there is no physical second;)

Rep: (18)
Let's say everything is filmed on the main camera. What is the point then using EIS rather than a more kosher OIS?

Rep: (786)
Starfish90 @ 05/30/18, 14:55*
kosher OIS?
: blink :: wacko: see any comparisons. OIS merges quality in all smarts. Absolute jelly and inaccessibility of the picture. In photo-video cameras, OIS works as it should, no doubt, but the physical size of the system is larger. For smart EIS top, much better. OnePlus implemented electronic stabilization quite well, only Sony has it better, especially with a lack of light

kosher OIS?
Well, it's kosher. For different scenarios, different stabilization. EIS is good for scenes that are less full of information (because artifacts often occur during stabilization) and for shooting in motion, and OIS is a set, merges in motion, and almost any, but the picture quality is just fine, no artifacts.

And is it immutable here? 4k / 30fps - EIS, 4k / 60fps - OIS.

Rep: (825)
* Mousehunter EIS is used only for 30FPS due to the fact that 60 FPS does not have time to process, because the number of frames is too high.

Rep: (498)
* Mousehunter
60 fps is not enough for EIS

Rep: (19)
Live and learn. I really didn’t think that optical stabilization is worse :)

Rep: (18)
* givlax maybe I don’t understand something :) EIS is software stabilization. It can be achieved in post-processing without any problems, while optical stabilization is a hardware feature, the use of which has a much more positive effect on the picture. What parameters do you measure quality by? What exactly does it merge?

It is better to shoot dynamic scenes without any stabilization at all and achieve the desired effect in the editor at the post-processing stage. What is the point of trusting the phone to do what specialized software will do anyway better?

that's for sure. I try to shoot in 1080/60, where my stub is disabled, and then I stabilize the photo in Google. It turns out and cuts better and less. It is a pity that 1+ do not want to disable stabilization in their application.

* Starfish90 480p? Or YouTube has not downloaded the higher resolution yet?

Rep: (18)
* fantomrik, YouTube has not processed yet, apparently. Recorded 1080/30

Rep: (49)
Here you can see an interesting comparison with Open Camera - in 4K, 30 fps captures with a wider field of view:

https: //www.devicespec...editor-review/dac973/8

A comparison of different crop factors in different shooting modes is also shown.

You are absolutely right about the viewing angles, but the same module is always used when shooting 30 / 60fps video.
