* linaro In fact, it’s interesting, however, after fumbling around the World, I found such a number of negative reviews about this router - and the speed cuts, and weak, and is not sewn properly with alternative firmware, and if you don’t really understand the question - the brick is almost guaranteed. On OpenWRT, there are some misunderstandings with the server ... Although there are ready-made options.
Could you help, as they say, “decide”: from the end user point of view, improvements are felt - then it hits, the speed is higher — or are these characteristics maximum at the drain? Is it worth some risk to kill the machine of possible gain? They are interested in these “landed” wins, but you will not explain the subtleties of setting to an ordinary person.
Or is the meaning of alternatives precisely in the variety of settings, and for those who do not need it, is it really better to sit on the drain exactly?

Ask abouthim. I have an Archer C20, so I cannot speak objectively about Archer C2.

With the openwrt server, everything is fine. This Roskomnadzor blocked their IP. How to set up a transparent bypass of locks (by the way, just on the router) - there were no more problems with the source code.

This is Roskomnadzor

But he has long hands! Somewhere on the OpenWRT forums, some problems were mentioned on the server, due to which some of the archive of messages and uploads were lost, such as restoring ... But that’s what Archer C2 was about, nowmissing(pos. 1054). According to another version, the support of the model was allegedly discontinued due to the blocking of the runoff updates caused by overseas bans on excessive opportunities ... Plus"easy, simple, space profit"on a non-core resource and, most importantly, the answer there was “worn out, but restored like this” -copy-paste with translation, well, like advertising. And damn the circumstances are such that the flow is not enough, theoretical knowledge 0, x, experiment / unscientific tyk / brick is now unacceptable - andbegugly - and there is no clarity in the main thing: will it be better? I do not have enough coverage in terms of the reinforced concrete structure - both in a straight line and through the reinforced concrete channel, the former Asus RT-N11P (on the Padavan prosh, of course)) broke through - "another half-meter reinforced concrete wall and room behind it "further than this. Burned out at work: blush:

I have the first revision, the AC protocol with my Mac, iphone, appleTV is not friendly at all, constantly low speed, some interrupts, disconnected AC in general, now I tried the padavan firmware, everything became super, AC works as it should, speed 100+, so that those who had problems with the wi-fi connection, then it is definitely worth switching to padavan, and the interface is more pleasant and there are a lot of buns) Thank you very much,* linaro for the works)

I bought a router, for WiFi, it gives 20 Mbps at 100 stated by the provider, for Lan all the rules. Throw the firmware to fix it and what is the reason for the MB?

Something in my laptop is constantly losing the Wi-Fi signal (2.4 GHz), stupidly the SSID stops seeing (5 GHz is disabled), resetting the settings and flashing the router helped for a while, but then the connection became even more torn.
About 5 GHz: a friend came with the phone, first the bodies saw a signal at 5 GHz, and then stopped, now there is nothing to potent.
Now I’m thinking, either to take it under warranty (and this is how much brains soar), or try alternative stitching. Maybe there are more options, where to poke?

* xperia10,
Could you drop the file of the assembled firmware to the thread?and everything read that nez ...

Ie, until I created the irreparable, will it be possible to return to the stock? Is the instruction from the C20 topic relevant for our router? Is the stock loader file suitable?

You can return to stock. File loader will not suit you. You need to take it for your device. For example, from the stock firmware.

Only as a donor, the firmware should be from your device with the word boot in the name.

Waiting for tips on the resurrection of the router.

If they sewed on tftp without a bootloader, then only the programmer. In the same post with your link there is material under the spoiler about which programmer is needed and a link to the post for recovery.

Rep: (1)
* linaro Is the bootloader from that post suitable for the C2 AC750? Can I then combine it with an alternative firmware and sew it through a programmer? By the way, through the series something can be seen, but it is impossible to flash it. The programmer ordered I will wait, then accomplish your goal.

By the way through the series that you can see

Drop the log of what serial gives out.

Here is the bootloader for your device:Attached fileuboot_c2v1.zip(49.61 KB)

I corrected the update line for tftp with the following:
tftp 0x80060000 ArcherC2V1_tp_recovery.bin; erase tplink 0x20000 0x7a0000; cp.b 0x80080000 0x20000 0x7a0000

Now when updating via tftp, the bootloader will not be overwritten. It is also done on newer versions of tp-link devices.
