1. apk dials are mini programs for android, because our watches are built on android wear, but a truncated version. Accordingly, the creation of such dials requires special software and programming skills, but the result may be more original, more flexibility. The downside is that apk dials often discharge the battery faster. And the installation of such dials requires the installation of drivers and special programs for pairing with the clock on the PC.
2 wfz dials are renamed zip archives where you can correct and repack some data, such as arrows, background, but the editing functionality is limited. There are sites where you can create your own dial from a set of limited tools. A plus can be considered low power consumption and ease of installation. It is enough to connect the watch to the PC, as a USB flash drive to throw the wfz dial into the watchface watch folder.

Unfortunately, the color and size of the * .wfz dials are rigidly embedded by the manufacturer in the watch’s firmware and cannot be adjusted, you can only choose the position on the screen and the shape (either a line or a circle).

Look for * .apk dials made by enthusiast hands (there are links to resources in the topic header).
