IDENTIFIED PROBLEMS

1) Throttling even in the browser as the copper plate did not fit well on the chip - the insulation plate pressed against the power supply connector from the battery.

2) The right touchpad button is stuck.
3) When parsing, the attachment leg with the screw fell off. With this, I suffered most of all in the end))
4) Keyboard for 3k, but nothing critical in my case.
5) The sound from the speakers is still rather weak, although quite clean. In a noisy cafe will be hard to hear - you need to take the headphones.
6) There is a very quiet electronics noise when charging this cube. Something like the work of a mechanical hard drive when it is loaded - but heard only at night from half a meter.

TREATMENT

TERMALMOD
1) Instead of a thermal pad, I put a copper plate of 15x20x0.8 mm
(check outso that the plate does not stick out beyond the processor, otherwise it will short-circuit capacitors / resistors - I say the numbers from memory when it was 50 days ago. 90% I'm right, but 10% will cost your laptop a minimum repair o.O).
At the same time he soldered it so that she did not go anywhere and did not short the contacts. I do not trust any adhesives, and they are not effective in terms of heat transfer.

So, how to solder (simple, 2 minutes of work):
- I cleaned the surface of the stock plate with fine sandpaper and the one that, instead of the thermal pad, would erase the oxide film at the soldering points.
- Induction stove at home, does not react to the copper plate. Put the foil in the pan. On the foil stock copper plate "patch up" with a drop of liquid flux (it is better to drop it immediately, it will not oxidize immediately).
- He warmed up the degrees to 200C, put a drop of tin and waited a couple of seconds, so that it melted.
- I put the copper block 15x20 to the crust and crushed it. Later turned off the stove and continued to hold until the design has cooled.The main thing is that the plate does not move and as a result does not short out anything on the board!
Do everything at your own peril and risk! It is better to keep the battery in front of the thermal mode - one inaccurate advancement with a screwdriver or copper and your Cube will be closed.

Scrubbed lightly and everything was nice and spread MX-4. Pay attention that black INSULATION DO NOT NEED TO BE REMOVED. She feels great at 200C on the stove.

On top of the plate and SSD put a thermal pad 1.5 mm thick for contact with the body - more thickness will not, 1 mm will have a smaller contact patch (or will hang out altogether). But here it also plays the role of how thick your copper spacer is between the chip and the main radiator. Plus, it is necessary to take into account the shape of the body slightly curved towards the edges - my 1.5 mm were very tight, I had to move the gasket further from the edge of the case.

3) I had to make the leg of epoxy, but having missed the consistency, it did not hold the screw nut for the first time. Now works without problems, lowered the voltage on the CPU and the GPU to -40 and -20 mV using Throttlestop. Power Limit can be increased in BIOS and locked up there (because it tends to return to default in Windows), and you also need to fix it once in the Windows registry using the Intel XTU (you can not run the program later).

It works 7 hours in reading mode, the case heats up weakly from the keyboard. The screen is very good and responds well to the fingers.

You can put a protective glass / film from Surface13.5 inches. You may have to put it upside down in order not to block the microphones / camera.
