Information
Description
Product Name: Keenetic air
Part Number: EMG1800-T10A
NDM HW ID: ki_ra

On the Internet - in any way

Keenetic Air is designed primarily for reliable full-featured connection of your home to the Internet via a dedicated Ethernet line through providers using any type of connection: IPoE, PPPoE, PPTP, L2TP, 802.1X, 802.1Q VLAN, IPv4 / IPv6.
At the same time, it provides full speed for tariffs up to 100 Mbit / s, regardless of the type of connection and the nature of the load.

With the same success, it is possible to connect to the Internet through a PON-terminal provided by your provider or a modem with an Ethernet port, as well as via an operator or private Wi-Fi hotspot.

Attached Image

WISP mode

Sometimes you may need to connect your existing home network to the Wi-Fi Internet. This may be a Wi-Fi hotspot provider, your neighbor’s Wi-Fi network, an open network of some cafe located nearby, or a backup connection to a mobile access point in your smartphone if the main provider fails. WISP mode will show a list of available Wi-Fi networks and help you connect to the desired one. If you travel with many gadgets, the WISP mode will be convenient for connecting to a hotel’s Wi-Fi network. Keenetic Air connects to the hotel’s Wi-Fi network, and all mobile devices connect to its pre-configured, secure Wi-Fi network.

Attached Image

Internet access reservation

Thanks to the NDMS 2 operating system, using Keenetic Air, you can connect to several providers by any of the methods described above by setting priorities and enabling continuous Internet access checks. In the event of a failure in the network of the main provider, the Internet Center will automatically switch to work with a spare channel.

Attached Image

Wi-Fi AC1200 Dual Band Access Point

To share Internet access and home network devices (such as NAS and a printer) from multiple laptops, tablets and smartphones, Keenetic Air offers two independent Wi-Fi networks: one in the 2.4 GHz frequency band for connecting 802.11 g / n devices at speeds up to 300 Mbps, the second in the 5 GHz band for connecting 802.11 n / ac devices at speeds up to 867 Mbps. Thus, your new smartphones and laptops will work as fast as possible, and old devices will remain compatible with your wireless network.

Attached Image

4 powerful Wi-Fi antennas

To increase the coverage and quality of wireless communication, dual-band Keenetic Air has two antennas with a gain of 5 dBi for each band. In order to build up from the wireless networks of neighbors in an apartment building, the optimal working channel of the Wi-Fi network is automatically selected based on a periodic radio scan.

Attached Image

Wi-Fi protection: a little more than full

Keenetic Internet Centers from the factory have pre-installed maximum WPA2 Wi-Fi network protection with a unique burglar-resistant key, which is retained for any flashing and resetting. There is no need to memorize it (and enter, for example, on inconvenient keyboards of TVs), because it is much more convenient to use WPS technology - connecting by pressing a button on the Internet center. All vulnerable WPS options are disabled, the PIN code input algorithm is specially modified against hacking.

Attached Image

Guest Wi-Fi network

Do you often receive guests who need Wi-Fi to access the Internet, but do not want them to have access to the resources of your home network? Well, yes, why do they need a network drive, surveillance cameras, a printer, and more. Keenetic Air allows you to enable a separate Wi-Fi guest network with a different name and password. It will be isolated from the home network and limited in access speed so as not to interfere with the owners. For added convenience, operational management of the guest network is possible from the My.Keenetic mobile application.

Attached Image

Wi-Fi network coverage expansion

Keenetic Air can be used to expand the coverage of an existing wireless network in the mode of a Wi-Fi amplifier (repeater) or access point. Adapter mode helps you connect non-Wi-Fi devices that have an Ethernet port to the wireless network. Thanks to large external antennas of a special design with a gain of 5 dBi, Keenetic Air provides significantly better signal quality and coverage than compact repeaters with built-in antennas. To switch to any of the modes, Keenetic Air has a convenient switch on the case.

Attached Image

Wi-Fi amplifier

The "Amplifier" mode expands the coverage area of your Wi-Fi network without laying additional cables. Keenetic Air copies the wireless network settings of the main Internet center, so your wireless devices will automatically switch between them without additional reconfiguration, depending on the signal levels at a particular point in the apartment. To configure, you only need two clicks of the Wi-Fi button - on the main Internet center and Keenetic Air.

Attached Image

Wi-Fi hotspot

This scenario is useful if you want to expand the range of an existing Wi-Fi network while maintaining its maximum performance. Connect Keenetic Air to your home network with an Ethernet cable, and then connect your wireless devices to it. By default, in the “Access Point” mode, the wireless network will work with the password and network name, which are indicated on the Keenetic Air label, but you can change them to the settings of the main Internet center for automatic roaming.

Attached Image

Wi-Fi adapter

In the "Adapter" mode, the Internet center works as a wireless bridge, providing access to the Wi-Fi network to all devices connected to its network ports. Thus, you can do without laying an Ethernet cable to your IPTV set-top box, computer, or other device that does not have a Wi-Fi adapter.

Attached Image

Home network management

applicationMy.Keeneticfor iOS and Android, configures the Internet center in a minimum of steps, and then provides full control of the home network, including remotely via the Internet. Open My.Keenetic - and you will see a list of home network devices for each of which you can individually configure Internet access: speed, Internet filtering profile, port forwarding, schedule, etc.

Attached Image

Ready to work with IPTV and Smart TV

To watch IPTV, simply connect one or more IPTV set-top boxes to the Internet center, without additional switches and settings. Some smart TVs can likewise receive IPTV directly, while having access to a home DLNA library. For special cases, you can select the port only under the console or enable the built-in proxy server UDP-to-HTTP / UDP-proxy.

Attached Image

Protected DNS saves

The Keenetic Internet Centers have two mechanisms for filtering visited websites.

Yandex.DNS- This is a completely free service, blocking random visits to dangerous and false sites, involvement in botnets and other threats. The Yandex.DNS Internet filter will protect all or just your chosen home devices, regardless of the Internet provider settings.

Alternative Internet filter, working through the company's cloud serviceSkydns, allows you to control the activity of your children on the Internet, protecting them from unwanted online services, websites and even search results. You choose the categories of sites available for visiting, and apply the created filtering profile to the necessary devices in the Internet center network.

Attached Image

VPN client and PPTP server

Your home network can be connected to the office network or another Keenetic Internet Center via VPN with any method of accessing the Internet. The built-in PPTP server provides secure access to your home network via the Internet from a smartphone, tablet or computer from anywhere, as if you were at home.

Attached Image

IPsec VPN

In the case of strict industrial security requirements, the Internet center network can be connected to another network through an IPSec VPN tunnel. In this tunnel, you can absolutely not worry about the confidentiality of IP-telephony or video surveillance streams.

Attached Image

Convenient remote access KeenDNS

KeenDNS is a convenient service for remote access. It will allow you to connect from the Internet to the built-in applications of the Internet center and open home network services using your own domain name, for example, home.mykeenetic.net. Unlike other similar services, it is completely free, and it can also work not only directly, but also through the cloud. In this case, remote access to the interface and embedded applications will work even if there is no real IP address (for example, when connected via a 3G modem). In addition to KeenDNS, Keenetic Air also has built-in clients for Dyn, No-IP, DNS-master and others.

Your device connects to a router via 802.11n

Right now, all devices are connected to 2.4 GHz to a router with standard settings and it says 802.11bgn

judging by information on the Internet - none of these devices can work in 5 GHz

Well, as I did when I connected and through the program it was written from the phone that the telly was connected through 5 GHz and it was yesterday that the phone was also signing and the 5 GHz light was blinking fast on the router !?

connected through 5GHz

You are already told by 3 people - your devices do not support the 5 GHz band :) Do not connect. In principle, at 2.4 everything will work fine and quickly, if the ether is clean and there are few neighboring Wi-Fi networks.

The thing is that I live in a 5-storey building and there are a lot of neighbors with Wi-Fi, right now I'm sitting watching a telly and it slows down terribly although the router in the same room I don’t understand what to do! I thought because of the router this trouble bought a new and the same garbage! (((

and it slows down terribly

To transfer a TV that does not initially support 5 GHz to this range, you can use the same router in the "5 GHz Wi-Fi client" mode by connecting it to the TV via a regular ethernet cable. But this turns out to be an expensive solution ... Just if you just take the 5 GHz whistle adapter and plug it into USB, then not everyone will start there and the telly will see it ..

Rep: (13)
* gameskiller1989 Don’t listen to everyone here.
If your built-in "N" standard wireless adapter supports the 5Ghz band, it should cling to the router. Change the channels (experiment).

Rep: (13)
* gameskiller1989 You must be sure that your copy is capable of this.
From the ones I met, decent manufacturers did it before the AC standard (solutions on the latest broadcom chips and qualcomm / atheros emnip)

Rep: (0)
Now I noticed an interesting thing when distributing Lg 32Lh570U from the router to the TV, it terribly slows down, it loses the network has already given an application to call the wizard. But I tried to distribute 4G from a smartphone and now my surprise is everything normal !? What's the matter, who knows?

Rep: (172)
* gameskiller1989 , scan the channels and set the freest or least loaded channel on the router and you will be happy. What provider? Not Beeline by chance?

No Rostelecom! And I’ve already tried the channels all the same!

* gameskiller1989 , is it possible to try another provider (distort the wire at the entrance, having agreed with the neighbor from whom you will take)? If not, try distributing it from the phone to the router itself, and through it to the TV.

Yes, in our staircase one seems to be a provider. And giving out the phone is expensive, I’ll give the Internet not unlimited!)))

Rep: (172)
* gameskiller1989 Well, just try for 5-7 minutes to check it simply and that's it
