The reason is the white light in the lower left quarter of the display on the Android start screen / especially noticeable on a black background with maximum backlight (camera, black plain wallpaper, change of backlight modes).
The defect was detected immediately, after 7 days it was decided to contact the store for a replacement.
The phone was accepted for quality control, the accepting defect manager admitted, but clarified that verification is a mandatory procedure.
At the end of the 20-day inspection period, a request was made to the service center, I don’t know what was decided there, but the complaint department decided to return the money to me.
A new phone from the 07/28/2017 release without light was brought.
Blue light on a white background in the lower left corner is, as in the previous instance, and does not cause inconvenience.

I purchased Nokia 5 in Euroset, I did not really look at the store. At home I start to use and I understand something is not right. In general, the screen displays green as yellow, and red as burgundy (as on old TVs). It was clearly visible on the screen tests. I wanted to bear to pass, I reset the settings to the factory settings so that my account can be deleted .... and the colors returned to normal. I tried in games, everything is as it should be.
What could it be? Leave it as it is or pass it from sin before two weeks have passed (then what is the reason for surrender?). Who will advise what?

I think some kind of software glitch looks like a yellow filter (maybe the heat has somehow changed and the spectrum has "slipped" into a characteristic direction, judging by the description).

Well, since now everything is fine - it does not make sense to carry something, what should I present? :) True, there is nothing, since no one will be engaged in hypothetical or missing flaws.

Theoretically, you can still bring the seller and insist on: 1. quality control (in the store - check together), if it does not work, the disadvantage does not emerge itself, then: 2. insist on expertise. But it should be remembered that expertise is a double-edged sword and, moreover, paid. If an expert cannot simulate (find) a drawback by simple actions - the body will be disassembled into screws, and if they find nothing inappropriate, they will collect it back with the verdict “ok”. In this case: a) the examination fee will be at your expense, b) you will have a phone left in your hand that is at least disassembled and assembled - as in this case, the manufacturer’s warranty will work (if anything happens and are covered by the guarantee), if this is the case revealed - hard to say.

The bottom line.
If you repeat - carry, write a statement, specify in detail what is wrong. If you do not repeat - forget, use on health, do not waste your nerves, time and money. :)

The first experience, nothing to compare with, except with Win Mobile. But I liked the phone, although I really don’t compare it with Lumia. Maybe we are at the very beginning of the revival of the "new" Nokia and all the best is still to come. I want to feel the 8th Android (too many promising changes).
