I have v2 - but I would change it to v4 (not because of stability, but because of the functionality (there is vpn))

If for flashing - look for v2, of course.

To know that there really has changed. If something has become really better in v4, then you can also sacrifice firmware, especially since this is possible temporarily. If there are no improvements, then it makes sense to take v2, for greater compatibility. Or maybe v4 even got worse. Unclear :(

As far as I understand, this is the official version of the router for the Chinese market. And it’s kind of like you can put LEDE on it, anyway I saw this version in the compatibility table

the latest firmware was almost a year ago, and the crack vulnerability was not fixed (although the firmware was fixed on all the others), and those who support it say that it is unlikely that there will be a firmware release
The router itself drags a lot, but for some reason they decided to do so in the company, either stay on what it is, or switch to v4, well, or switch to Archer C2300 in general (new in new products, and it will be 10 times more powerful (128 MB 512 permanent operatives, dual-core percent 1.8 GHz, removable antennas (transplant x3 at 9 dBi) + all the latest modern technologies are present there, and the price is not much more expensive)
