I bought this router the other day and ran into a problem ((WiFi at 2.4 GHz is very, very slow to measure 1 megabit on speedtest, and 50 Mbit at 5 GHz, I have a 50 Mbps rate).
1.0.0 Build 20170306 rel.39799 (5255)
Hardware version 4. Can anyone come across such a problem?

1. You may be disturbed by neighbors, see which channels are more free.
2. Than 5GHz does not suit?

Rep: (0)
Perhaps you are right, I will try to put the channel manually. I have a Wi-Fi column and google Google does not see 5G. Thank)

* NuN70,
And what aboutprohibitionTP-Link installation of third-party firmware on routers? According to TP-Link technical support, there is no way to remove the restriction. Currently studying info and the ability to put LEDE on Archer C7 (RU) _V4. I would not want to make the device ..

Rep: (276)
* swxswl,
V2 has the same check, but I have the last lede and it works fine. In these firmware, they bypass the check for off-firmware. Read forums on this subject.

Rep: (24)
Put this firmware for V4, and everything will be fine

* running2000 Is this off-firmware?

I would like to know what instructions to put, since I found onhttps://lede-project.orgtwo different. The first one says: "Make sure that the LEDE firmware file you are going to install matches your router model and is called" ... .factory.bin ", since you will use it to change the vendor's firmware firmware towards LEDE." Your file is called "c7v4_ru20171031beta.bin". Second: "Flash instruction using restore TFTP:1. Set the PC to the fixed IP address 192.168.0.66 2. Download lede ar71xx universal archer c7 v4 squashfs factory.bin and rename it to ArcherC7v4_tp_recovery.bin 3. Run the tftp server from the tp_recovery.bin file in its root directory 4. Turn off the router 5. Press and hold the reset button 6. Turn on the router with the reset button pressed and wait ~ 15 seconds 7. Release the reset button and after a short time, the firmware should be transferred from the server's tftp 8. Wait ~ 30 seconds to complete the recovery " Yes, and inThose. dataArcher C7 v4 is specified - Processor: Qualcomm Atheros QCA9561, apparently the English version of the router. And I have QCA9563 (I opened and looked). In general, it is not clear yet ..

* swxswl,
Put through a standard firmware update. This firmware has nothing to do with LEDE! This is a beta version from TP-LINK!
Instructions how to put here:
http: //forum.tp-linkru...ewtopic.php? f = 2 & t = 1368

You'd be surprised what your awesome router is)))

You'd be surprised what your awesome router is)))

I already have a fresh Russian firmware 2017, there is almost everything! The router was bought two weeks ago, it was a pity there was no v.2, I bought v.4 (RU). What could be new and supernatural in this "Beta"? The router is really quite sophisticated, I already appreciated it. But the fact is that I need video surveillance on the router, AdBlock - an advertisement filter through hosts, torrents, and so on. Standard firmware from Tp-Link cannot do this, so it is unlikely that Beta will be surprised! Therefore, it is necessary to install the OpenWRT firmware or LEDE. The problem is that in v.4 (RU) there is a slightly different processor, and there is no ready firmware, unlike v.2. And the experience of creating your firmware "for yourself" is still not enough. Above Nun70 I threw a link to the LEDE firmware for v.4, but it is without the Luci WEB interface, only the command line with which you also have to figure it out. And in the future, the WEB-interface is needed to make changes quickly. In general, I slowly study everything, you see, maybe the craftsmen will gag the finished firmware ..

The router has worked for half a year, and with constant network breaks and freezes. I took to replace zyxel with which there were no problems at all, but ... I wanted speed))) Yesterday the router refused to start at all ... it turns on ... it flashes with diodes ... it takes a couple of minutes and everything goes out ... V4 official firmware , I did not do anything with it ....... I spit shorter

Rep: (276)
* telegera,
Well, under the guarantee in the SC, carry, what's the problem?

Thanks, of course, but I-No on this router does not disappear! Both ranges are plowed clearly, like a watch! Firmware 20170306 rel.39799 (5255). The only remark is that the router itself heats up significantly, in my opinion this is not normal. Prior to that, there was 4 years ZyXeL NBG334W EE, so he did not warm up at all. I think all the same to put on percent. suitable copper radiator considering future loads. And with the main points and the nuances of the LEDE and OpenWRT firmware in general, that is understandable. I will put Linux on a computer. (besides Vinda and Hakintosh) the benefit of the SSD is "too much was lying around," and I will probably begin to assemble the firmware for myself. Of course, it is also necessary to study the material and instructions thoroughly ..
