It’s clear ... Then I definitely won’t do it myself (((
Thanks for answers!

Rep: (411)
* andrey19789,
And what happened to the router, maybe the programmer is not needed?

Rep: (13)
* vovan26_ ,
Permanent reboot. A couple of days ago, the Internet just disappeared, rebooted - silence, only two power and gear indicators were on. Here on the site I found a firmware method using Tftp, downloaded the necessary firmware, reflashed it, and as a result received a constant reboot. Not one master did not undertake to do computer repairs, the service center said that they did not repair the devices whose warranty had expired, but I was very disappointed, he didn’t take a cheap router, and he arranged everything for me, and he only worked for 4.5 years and how once I set everything up, it worked without stopping ...

* andrey19789,
Where did you get the firmware and what did you do with it?

Rep: (13)
* vovan26_ ,
I took the firmware from the site indicated here, which with the boot cut out for version v1, renamed it as it was written, put it in the tftp folder and then flashed it. The process went smoothly, rebooted and a constant reboot started ...

Rep: (411)
* andrey19789,
With this firmware, rename it, if there is no positive result then we’ll think about what to do next.

* vovan26_ ,
Unfortunately, again the same story, a constant reboot (((

Rep: (411)
* andrey19789,
Check the oxides for capacity and leakage, or better to replace, a flash could be covered, but this is unlikely, the manufacturer gives a guarantee for a million cycles.
Flashing the programmers will not help you.

Rep: (13)
* vovan26_ ,
I don’t understand ... Apparently it’s not fate for me to bring it back to life.
It is being flashed, the flashing process is in progress, it can be seen both on the computer and on the router itself, as it determines the port to which it is connected, and after flashing it reboots and then a constant reboot.

Not understood…

Show your friend an electronics repairman / amateur and simplify checking all electrolytic capacitors for capacitance and leakage,
or replace everything without checking with new obviously working ones.
Or look here

Is it the same programmer for 24 and 25 series chips? and a clothespin here is not an option to use?

and a clothespin here is not an option to use?
Have you tried what you're talking about? : D

Rep: (33)
* vovan26_ ,
Yes, my mother died, I ordered such a programmer with a clothespin - I'm interested))

Greetings comrades,
I am considering the acquisition of a dual-band router.
Now this device can be bought for 4000
Does it make sense to consider it or is there something more modern?
Budget about 5 TR

* sammikhail,

Rep: (52)
* sammikhail,
decent device, especially for such a price, I have 4, there are no problems.

Rep: (73)
a year and a half ago took v2 for 4k. Satisfied. But I specifically looked for her - because Gargoyle firmware is only on v2.

Rep: (52)
* Naevus why is it better than openwrt?
