About these slots - not a weak holivar was in the S8 branches. IMHO video is meaningless - just such a technology and nothing more. Glue (double-sided tape?) Is applied around the perimeter, at some distance from the edge ... This is necessary, so that when gluing the panel, as well as during operation (heating / cooling), the glue does not get out of the cracks. If this Chinese man stuffed a piece of paper there by a centimeter, you could think about it ... and so - nonsense!
