Important information

At the moment, you can unlock the bootloader and, as a result, you can get ROOT only on the European version with one sim H870, T-Mobile H872 and American S997.
Version H870DS, which is sold in Russia and some Asian countries unlockis impossible!

Firmwares can be sewn from other regions, but only if they are for one model (for example, the H870DS model for Singapore can be flashed with firmware from the H870DS, released for Russia and the CIS countries).
At the same time, the region of the firmware will change to an abstract one and updates over the air will cease to arrive.

I just tend to the fact that earlier when I had Xperia Neo V, I put a root there with the goal of making it work faster, new chips, etc. And for what purpose in G6 are you trying to put the root? Just wondering ... suddenly, after your answers, I also want to put the root.

For example, I’m not worried about the root because:

1) The device works fast anyway (with the exception of some rare jams, which does not spoil the overall picture of speed)
2) Remote search functions are available in the device and without root in case of theft
3) The function of recording a conversation is already built into the firmware.
4) Other useful features for small things (night mode (comfortable viewing), launching mini-applications, launching two applications at the same time, having a reset button, etc.)
5) Always on display
6) Android Pay works out of the box (in the case of the PCT version)
7) The presence of smart functions, for example, when you leave the house, the phone’s volume is turned on and off, Wi-Fi is turned off, and in the house the Wi-Fi and Vibration mode are turned on automatically

P.S. I remember terrible days with Xperia Neo V, when through build.prop I squeezed out all the juice for speed from the phone ... right up to 1.6GHz processor overclocking. How good, how good that android got rid of these sores.

LG G6 Firmware with LGUP

1. Download the firmware in the format.kdzfor your model.
   
2. Download and install the latest version on your PC.LG USB driversor install on PCLG BRIDGE
   
3. Download and install on your PC program LGUP)(here you can download the latest version) LGUP.zip(19.64 MB)
   
   
4. Download, unpack orself-extract from the firmware selected for installation (recommended) DLL files for our model and copy them along the way C: \ Program Files (x86) \ LG Electronics \ LGUP model.zip (2.46 MB)
   
   
5. Turn off your phone completely
   
6. Press and holdvolume up on your phone and connect it to your PC with a USB cable
   
7. The phone will go into mode."download mode" (or firmware upgrade). Now you can release the button volume up .
   
8. Run the programLGUP . The program will detect your LG G6
   (If the program does not detect your phone, use this utility.)
   
9. After starting the application, click"..." and specify the path to the firmware file in the format .kdz which you downloaded earlier.
   
10. Select firmware version"UPGRADE"
    
11. Press the button"Start" and wait for the process to complete.
    
12. Turn on the phone.
