I took it for work and tanks. Prots cool, fast i7 4710HQ, vidyuha is certainly not the most powerful, but not the entry-level GTX 850M. Additionally put SSD mSATA. The laptop flies - loading the system up to 10 seconds. I like everything, except for cooling - the percentage is heated to 95 and starts to throttle (in stress tests, naturally, in idle 45) - I try not to bring this up. What steps have I taken to improve cooling and reduce heat: 1. Lowered a bit TurboBoost frequency 2. Reduced voltage on the processor (CPU, GPU, Cache) 3. Installed additional radiators over the processor and video chip 4. I set up the fan operation with the MSI Silent Option program - after 70 degrees it starts working at 100%, which is equivalent to turning on the Cooler Boost button - I think this is more convenient. What has been achieved: in the AIDA stress test, the processor temperature is 89 g. video cards at about 10 gr. less (80 gr.) What else can be done: 1. I use GD900 thermal grease, I want to buy Gelid GC-PRO, but I think it will not help much. 2. The hole above the fan - I do not want to do it, because cooling of the elements of the motherboard will deteriorate. 3. Instead of a CD-ROM, you can put boxes with fans - ali, the price is horseback. Post has been editedGreenbrain - 20.12.18, 08:32 -------------------- Samsung Galaxy S5 |

The solution turned out to be good thermal grease (in my case it is MX4) and a modification of the cooling system. Any other actions did not bring a normal result. Reducing performance on a gaming laptop is an so-so idea. The essence of the modification is the removal of regular impellers of the fan and motor. A more efficient motor and impeller were welded (can be glued) to this place. I took from some Asus. Then he made a hole under the fan to draw in cold air. You can not worry about the lack of circulation inside the case, nothing overheats. I can’t find the graphics anymore, but the difference was about 20C at fast speeds. He was engaged in 3D rendering on a laptop, so for me the temperature was critical. |

Of course, the standard cooler looks like an ordinary Chinese one, the brand has a different impeller shape, and there are more petals. I also thought about it, but then I need to have one in reserve, suddenly something will go wrong .. If a 20 degree decrease, then this is super. Photo revision. All fans on laptops are stamped by several companies and the only difference is that. In my photos, the difference in diameter between the old impeller and the new one is visually visible. When selecting a new fan, the height of the blades must be taken into account so that it fits into the case without any problems. The top cover of the fan will no longer be, you need to use the bottom cover of the laptop as a fan cover. Foam on the sides is a seal so that the generated flow passes only through the cooling radiator |

He even opened the argument then and won. They write everywhere - the original! And after installing such a miracle, the temperature jumped by 7 degrees. I own MSI GE70 OND-472RU (I did not find a separate thread on the forum). So, I want to put an SSD instead of a CD-ROM, but I don’t know which one to buy (I don’t rummage at all) and what else needs to be bought. Tell me who knows! Thank! : thank_you: |

If you buy, then from 128 GB - the system and the main software will fit there, without special games, if more (256, 512 GB) - then the games can already be installed there. Will the replacement of thermal paste help to increase productivity at least somehow? I play tanks and nothing more. As in 2012 I bought, but have not climbed inside yet. RAM 8 GB. I looked at Avito, options with the GTX 980, something expensive, 50-60 are asked. And mine, already at the minimum, only allows you to play comfortably. |

On the official site, the driver with standard profiles is too monotonous. I could not find such a program on the network. Can someone send me a download link for 300 rubles [email protected]. It constantly writes, clear the SSD, otherwise there is a possibility of failure. There is an SSD drive INTEL 660P SSDPEKNW020T8X1 2Tb, M.2 2280, PCI-E x4 [ssdpeknw020t1x1 9. The question is, is it compatible with my hardware? Will the laptop see it? |
