DosBox PPC | The best MS-DOS emulator

Rep: (143)
Dosbox PPC is a program (DosBOX for Win 9x port) that emulates MS-DOS.
Current versionDOSBox 0.73

With this emulator, you can play old, favorite games, as well as run various software designed to work under MS-DOS (including Windows 3.11). Perfectly emulates EMS, XMS, Adlib, Sound Baster, so farI don't need PocketDOS.

Description (from the author)
1. Designed to work on a PocketPC platform running Windows Mobile 2003, 2003SE, Windows mobile 5, Windows Mobile 6, Windows Mobile 6.1, Windows Mobile 6.5 with a screen resolution of 320x240.
2. Three customizable toolbars.
3. Two new methods (Touchpad-like and using D-Pad) mouse emulation.
4. Various binds for hardware buttons, including mouse buttons.
5. Left / right screen rotation.
6. Forced display of the toolbar using the tap-zone and / or hardware button.
7. Original graphics from Jehl Xavier.
8. Fast screen update code, auto-looping and other utilities from Yuri Sidorov.
9. The verysimple core (286 only) from Boris Letocha.
10. A bunch of optimization curves;)
Using:

Download the build for your processor. Unpack, edit the [autoexec] section in dosbox.conf so that the mount command contains the correct path to the directory that you will use to store DOS applications. Rewrite the entire directory on the SD / CF card. Run dosbox.exe

IMHO PocketDOS is more convenient, because in DosBox I could not cancel the screen rotation =>can not be used in the cradle (

ACC ,
Looking for what purposes to use this emulator. I have long determined for myself:
1. To work with application software (Pascal, any FoxPro DBMS, etc.) - only PocketDOS
2. For games, intruh - only DOSBox.

Rep: (12)
write how to run games on this emulator? Only on chelovechiski and not something like this .... oooo / b / h / u. specifically how to create a virtual disk, how to run an exe file? and I also heard some BAT file can be created so that it can be launched from it!

Rep: (143)
1. Zalazish ordinary text editor in dosbox.conf. This file contains the entire configuration (memory, sound, processor).
2. Idea in the [autoexec] section
3. Register your drives with the mount command<drive name>"path_on_pocket"
For example. I have a C drive sitting on SD in the DOSBox folder. In the config it looks like this: mount c "\ sd card \ Dosbox"
4. Further, there can be commands in the usual autoexec.bat:
c:
cd vc
vc

Everything.
I still have to insist on each gulka. So pay attention to especially important points:
[cpu] (kernel db. verysimple), [render], memsize parameter, and #Mouse emulation mouse options

Nobody tried to run it under WM 5?
And then when I try to connect the drive (mount), it crashes.

Today I launched the ZX-Spectrum UKV emulator from DOS-BOX. Works :). But slowly very certainly. But TR-DOS works. The only way this option works is to read the zx press in the trd format. I downloaded is-dos, looked at my graduation project, which was typed there, nostalgia :). Star legacy still running, working, you can even play. It is a pity that the PDA does not have a normal zx-spectrum emulator.

MEGAMONSTER ,

how not? if I'm not mistaken for hpc there were several of them!

Rep: (780)
There is one more or less normal - Pocket Clive. But it does not support td-dos, the sound is only mono, there is no screen rotation.

Rep: (12)
Damn, once a hundred saw the topic, everything did not go! Thanks guys! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! This is the best forum! It is great! Doom2, Pascal .... I am delighted! Sorry I can not put the smile. I am writing from the PDA

Can someone tell me how to increase the FPS in games, otherwise on my dell axim x50v even the dune slows down?

Rep: (780)
demon fire , yes no way. Doom2 citrus may be launched, but playing it is clearly unrealistic. And in the dune on the shogi emulator you can play.

The problem with TR-DOS games is solved elementary - you start the game on a PC with the ZXMak emulsion, take a snapshot, the output is a * .z80 file, which PocketClive perfectly understands. Business ...

Rep: (11)
Question: how to mount the root of the pda? I write this: "mount d" \ "

Dir command returns 0 files

Rep: (59)
In general, the problem is this: is it possible to increase the screen as in PocketDOS? And then the text is not visible.
