I leave here the translation of the user manual from Facebook.
Application installation The tube player exists in two versions: full and free. The full version differs from the free lack of advertising and some minor improvements. When you purchase the full version, the license for it will be saved during subsequent updates of the application and system. If you have a desktop version and / or a version for a tablet with Windows, you do not have to purchase it separately. If you experience any difficulties with purchases and using the store, please contact the store support service, not the application.
Beginning of work Sort your music collection into folders. Create folders with artist names, and in them folders with album names. Make sure that one song matches one file. If you have cover images, put them in an album folder or create a special folder for images in it. If there are several images, give the main one the name cover or front. The lower the image in the folder hierarchy, the lower its priority.
Connect your phone to your computer, find the Music folder on your phone or SD card and copy the artist folders into it.
Some time after copying, the Windows Search Service will investigate new files. This process is not noticeable, but if you start the player immediately after copying, the service will not inform it about all new files and not all of them will be available immediately. Therefore, it is better to leave the phone alone for some time, about 15 minutes for every thousand new files. Later, in case of any difficulties, you can always use the “Reset collection” option in the player settings.
Run the player. You will find yourself on the "Collection" page where you will see how the player creates playlists. For each folder a list will be created with all the songs in it and in subfolders.
In order to play the list, first click on it and then on the play button on top.
If you want to select individual songs, open the list and select a song. To do this, click on the list. A chevron will appear on the right, click on it and the list will open. Each song will have a “+” icon, click it. The player will automatically create a new list, add this song to it and start playing.
During playback on the Player screen, you can exclude a song from the list by clicking on it and pressing the “-” sign
To switch between screens, swipe (scroll) left or right.
Collection screen Search At the very top of the screen is a search button. If you have a large collection and you do not remember which of the lists contains a song, click on the search button and enter a part of its name, year, artist or genre. When searching, individual words are analyzed and it makes no difference whether you write Yellow Submarine or submarine yellow, or even yell sub. One or more results will appear. Click on the one you want to go to.
Menu The menu is used to manage lists. Usually it is in a compact state, where each item has only an icon, but by clicking the ellipsis on the right you can see it in expanded form. For more convenience, it is located at the top of the screen, and not at the bottom, as is usually the case in other applications. Available menu items:
- To the current list: find in the collection the playlist that is currently playing.
- Pin / Unpin: creates tiles on the main screen for the list. When you click on the tile, the player will start and start playing this list.
- Open and play.
- Add new list: opens the screen for editing a new empty list.
- Edit list: also opens the editing screen, but not empty, but the selected list.
- Delete the selected list: removes the list from the collection, while the files are saved.
Lists The player automatically creates lists for each folder in the Music directories on the phone and SD card. He remembers that these lists are special and tries to update them at each start, which takes about 10-20 seconds per thousand files. In addition, the player tries not to change them: when trying to add a song to the current list-folder through “+”, he will create a new user list. However, you can open the list editing page through the menu and change it manually if you think it is necessary. Lists-folders are sorted by their path in the file system, visually distinguished by a small folder icon from the bottom left and are always under user lists.
User lists, on the contrary, are not tied to folders and can contain anything, created through “+” or with the help of an editor. They are sorted by name, differ in the list icon and are always at the top.
Screen edit list and select files The list editor screen is accessible from the Collection page. You can edit the name of the list, add and delete songs. The file selection dialog allows you to select files and folders to add to the list, it differs from the standard dialog in that you can select both files and folders at the same time.
In addition, if you accidentally delete a list-folder, you can add it again using these dialogs. Create a new list and add only one folder (do not open it, just select it), then save the list. The editor will notice this and save it as a folder list.
Screen "Player" Effects Click the note button to switch to effect control. If you want the player to consume as few resources as possible, turn off all effects and set the Volume effect to 100.
Volume Oddly enough, there are several ways to control the volume. The easiest way is to linearly change the signal level, but the subjective perception of volume is non-linear. In this case, the volume is meant precisely the subjective volume, that is, the value of 100 will be perceived by most people to be twice as loud as 50. The volume effect is applied before the effect of tube sound and affects it in the same way as in real tube technology. There is no need to set the volume to exactly 50, 25 or another “integer” number, since sound processing occurs in 32 bits and rounding errors are much less than the noise level.
Equalizer The vast majority of applications use a few simple IIR filters for each equalizer band. In this case, the entire equalizer is one complex FIR filter with a linear phase. The equalizer scale is based on the Bark scale, so subjectively the bands are perceived as equal in range. In the paid version, an energy-saving equalizer mode is available. When it is turned on, power consumption is reduced, but the frequency response is not so smooth. The power consumption of the equalizer on the FIR filter also depends on the frequency it regulates: the lower the frequency, the longer the wavelength and the more samples you need to process. For example, adjusting the band of 1080 ... 1480 Hz requires almost 10 times less resources than adjusting the band of 0 ... 100 Hz. In addition, the player can combine the bands on the left in order to optimize power consumption. For example, if you set the same level to -3dB on all bands up to 1080Hz, processing will be as fast as for the 1080Hz band.
Lamp sound This effect allows you to simulate the operation of a single-ended amplifier on a triode; several popular lamp models are available. Real tube technology usually had a transformer at the output, which could reduce the level of low frequencies by 1-6dB. This effect does not reduce the bass, so for more realistic it may be necessary to adjust the frequency 0 ... 100 Hz using an equalizer.
Noise reduction This simple effect allows you to get rid of hissing and noise in the pauses. If you are interested in remastering and complete removal of noise, use some sound editing application.
Resempling Since several applications can play sound simultaneously, the system has to somehow mix the signal from all of them. This process occurs at a specific sampling frequency, which does not always coincide with the sampling frequency of the recording. Most phones use a frequency of 48000Hz, while the sampling rate of most music is 44100Hz. Windows can convert the frequencies itself, but uses the simplest and fastest algorithm for this, which leads to the appearance of intermodulation distortion. The player can use a better algorithm that guarantees a distortion level much lower than the noise level.
Balance Just balance stereo. It is used before the Mono effect.
Mono Combines the left and right channel.
Menu The menu contains standard playback controls.
Playlist In the playlist, songs are sorted by file name, the current track is highlighted in white, and the next song is in gray. For a song that is highlighted in gray, the “-” icon also appears, when clicked, it can be excluded from the list. If you change the list or close the player, he will remember where he stopped and continue playing from the same moment.
Screen "Track" On this screen you can view detailed information about the song and related images. If there are no images, they will be downloaded from the network. To go to the previous or next image, click on the left or right side of the picture.
Settings screen Contains the following sections:
- Player - allows you to disable automatic playback when you start the player
- Schedule - allows you to set the time when the player stops playing or continues it.
- Appearance - in this section you can change the background color, language, and also enable or disable the live tile. Live tile uses an image associated with the current song.
- Collection - allows you to enable or disable the automatic addition of new folders to the collection, configure the download of covers from the network, as well as completely clear the collection.
- Rate the application - here you can rate the application and write a review. In the free version, regardless of the assessment, you will receive an additional month without advertising.
- Feedback - here you can suggest a change, complain about a mistake or vote for suggestions from other users.
- About application - in this section you can check the current version of the application and system.
Also, in the free version there is a section in which you can enable or disable the sending of error reports. In contrast, the paid version does not send any data to the network, including error reports.
