In the kernel configurator, I include the gpu support cooling property before the build (the word cpu support colling is already enabled there). I run the assembly - for those an error in the gpu_cooling.c file - the supposedly swears GPU_THROTLING doesn't know what it is. We look at the sources of other Exynos cores and notice that GPU_THROTLING is found on resources, and in our mali-720 there is GPU_THROTLING1, GPU_THROTLING2, GPU_THROTLING3, GPU_THROTLING4, but GPU_THROTLING is no longer found. We look further, sort of like we understand that GPU_THROTLING-and these are the temperature values that are assigned based on the values of GPU_TH_TEMP1 .... 5. And the funny thing is that in one of the sources of the Exynos7420 kernels, the GPU_THROTLING is GPU_THROTLING4 - that is, value between higher temperatures. Here they are Samsy! Of course, you can try to push all device drivers and other proprietary technologies into sorts and build a poor working Cyan on Android 6. BUT, I’m digging into the kernel drivers and I’m looking at the asma from the .so files of the device drivers and you know basically there is a mention: Exynos, Exynos5, S2, S3 and how I can’t see the unique drivers for Exynos3. I mean, first I’ll probably try to find the sources (and they are found) for the hardware from other devices (who has the same hardware and who has the source for Android), then I’ll try to compile the corresponding libraries from these sources and put them into working Stock 5.1.1., respectively, according to the logs it will be possible to catch bugs, maybe something to search in the source code, well, I will not find any source code, as it is. If all this succeeds, then it will be possible to try and collect by caste. In any case, then at least the caste will work not on the fact that it worked more or less on the drain, but on its own, which can be corrected and can somehow optimize it. Now I've gone through all the .so files (IDA rules) for dependencies, i.e. compiled a list of what .so which .so uses. Thus, it becomes clear that someone depends on and dragging as it is, some files are already easier - you need to drag and add dependencies on them, unless of course these are the fundamental libraries that are formed when building the firmware. In short, if anyone has any ideas and thoughts, do not be shy - we share. I would like to not only collect the device tree, but also know the specific hardware and dig for the source code for this hardware! |

Also now the salt source kernels for j120w - see what the difference is there from our j120f. By the way, in all versions of the source code for J120F kernels, the driver for the GPU remains version R5P0 - (dated December 2014), while the latest versions summer 2016 is r13p0. Those. It turns out the Samsung update affects only their own developments on the platform, and the Samsung driver update does not bother. In the j120w kernel sources, a new gpu driver version has been added. I’ll see what’s changed, I’ll try to drag it to the kernel for j120f. Post has been editedJoenka - 07.09.16, 10:11 |
