Three programs for receiving mail have been installed: mail mail.ru, Yandex.ru mail and Gmail.
Gmail was never able to receive notifications. Other programs accept mail and the smartphone accepts notifications from them as from other programs - the color of the event indicator - like that of "other notifications." The sound of such notifications is configured: settings - sound - notification melody.
In order for a smartphone to receive mail and inform the notification indicator with the color that is configured in the notification indicator settings section, you need to do something else: Configure the reception of mail with a program whose notifications are perceived as receiving mail. How to do this, I do not know. Asked earlier - while waiting.
It feels like our Android’s own email client (the notification from which the android would perceive as receiving mail) is not.
In the application settings: settings - applications - the gear at the top there are settings for applications for the desktop, browser, applications for calls, SMS, but mail is not.
