The type of ECU is determined automatically.

Limitations of the Lite version:
- the presence of advertising

About differences from Torque.
If you know, Torque is an application that uses a simple OBD2 protocol, can only connect to the engine, shows only a certain set of errors and parameters related to exhaust control.
Our application is connected besides the engine and to AKPP, ABS, CIM, EPS, CDC, AHL, BCM. In short, to all modules connected to the high-speed CAN.
Moreover, for all these modules, the application shows errors, parameters, can make tests of actuators (currently a pair of motor ones are supported, but this is a matter of time). Our application works according to native GM protocols and shows what the dealer sees. So I strongly disagree with the statement that the application is no different from Torque.

Further, what is meant by "programming" that OpCOM or Carista successfully do? Maybe all the same "coding"?
In my understanding, “programming” is when the internal ECU control program is changed, in other words, flashing. As I already wrote, it is unrealizable with a simple ELM adapter. This is not in Opkome, nor in Carista.
But coding is most likely possible in our application, it was in the plans. By the way, Carista does not support configuring Opel.
By the way, a subscription to Carista costs about $ 40, plus they still sell their adapter worth $ 40 or euro. The price of our product is much more modest.

It already turns out a full-fledged application for car services, and for them there is a lot of tools, take the same Opcom, or our OpelScanner, which everyone knows how. Yes, and the Easytronic adaptation procedure is quite responsible, if there is a failure in the wireless data exchange, and it will most likely have to, then it will definitely have to be lifted with a normal device.
So, for the time being, I would limit myself to simple functions, but as for these additional functions, we must also carefully consider whether it is worth bothering at all.

In the CAN version, a lot of things were added, corrected. There is already support for new models: Astra J, Zafira C, Insignia, Mokka, and so on.
While they read / erase errors in the engine. Support for AKPP, ABS, BCM will be in future versions. Also, the list of errors can already be "expanded".
If you have an OBDLinkMX adapter in the future, you can connect to all units, since it supports both the mid-speed CAN bus and the single-wire CAN bus.
Chinese ELM out of the box only works with HS CAN.
