the question is not clear, the router and so distributes both networks 2.4 and 5, maybe you just need to enable wifi in the settings (on openwrt, the default wifi broadcast can be turned off).

I will describe in more detail. In native firmware, there is a choice between operating modes.
- simultaneous operation 2.4 and 5
- only 2.4
- only 5
I understand that if you select the first item, then one network is created, and the device connected to the router will automatically connect to the stronger signal automatically (close - 5, far 2.4). Or something wrong?

Judging byemulatorit's just turning the networks on or off, but the networks will be different, you can make the same name and password for the wifi network (both on the drain and on openwrt), then you will see the network with the same name, the client will decide which one to connect to (on some devices, you can set a priority of 2.4 or 5 GHz).
