It may be irrelevant for a long time, but infa can be useful to someone.

1. download firmware from offsite
2. download any hex editor (WinHex is preferable)
3. open the firmware, and cut off the first 512 bytes
4. sew programmer flash drive and enjoy.

Perhaps such manipulations can be done with other routers, as they say, at your own peril and risk.

"cropped" version for WDR3500 v1 in attach.

* Herzz, open the original, see what is there. You will see Booth in the first 512 - press minus. I suggest that there is a “header” specifically for webmord firmware, and the boot itself is located with a rather large offset. In memory, alas, I do not remember exactly where. : rolleyes:

And yes, it is not fulldamp, but it works.

* Herzzread the post to the end. I repeat once more more. The first 512 bytes contain plain text, which the router firmware reads and compares with the template, if a match occurs, the firmware is poured into the flash memory bypassing the first 512 bytes. If there is no match, the webmord throws out an error about incorrect firmware, while leaving everything as it is. This is done in order to exclude, in this way, “podsovyvanie” firmware from another router for example.

For flashing flash memory on a pogrommator, it is enough to cut off this identifier, and everything will start and it will work not a bit worse than if a full dump had been flashed. I dragged the webmord to explain the principle of operation of this mechanism and the manipulation with these 512 bytes. What else to chew on?

I join the issue of dump. there is the same corpse, there is a programmer. Web muzzle does not work, a brick on his hands. Is there a live dump from this router?

For some reason, the connection with the Internet at 2.4 is simply lost. Even to enter the router it simply says that there is no connection, although on 5.0 everything works fine

On the topic of network 2.4 I confirm. Falling off periodically. Only REBOOT helps. Has anyone decided?

I confirm the problem of falling off wifi in the 2.4 GHz band. In general, as if the transmitter is turned off, only 5 GHz remains.
It used to be once a month, but here another lace was connected to the WAN, and at the same time the Internet channel became wider. Repeated three times in two days. Whether any pickups from another driver (static), or if the consumption of traffic increases, there is not enough power on the transmitter 2.4 (router of the year 4, the condensers could dry up), or some memory is clogged in the control programmer.
Still, as an option, it is 2.4 that disappears because it is the most loaded - most devices still cling to it.

The only thing that comforts is a software reboot (clinging through 5 GHz and reloading from the web interface) helps.

Reviews say that the problem of falling off of one range is very often on this device:https: //peredpokupkoy.....vy-tp-link-tl-wdr3500/
