Drivers and Utilities
For some reason, everywhere I meet links to unsigned drivers for the SP Flash Tool,
installation of which on modern operating systems requires various manipulations
with disabling signature verification, reboots, etc.
Here are the signed drivers, put without any problems:
Drivers for win 8 - 10 Attached fileSP_Drivers_v2.0_signed.zip(8.39 MB)
Option 2Windows 8 and above
Instructions for installing drivers on Windows 8 and above
To properly install the drivers, you must disable the driver digital signature verification. For this:
1. It is necessary to boot into the menu for selecting system boot options To do this, hold down the Shift key, select "Shutdown" → "Restart"
2. When you turn off the page will turn off the computer settings, you must select "Diagnostics"
3. On the next page, select "Advanced Options"
4. Next, go to "Boot Options" (Setting Windows boot options)
5. Just click “Reboot” and wait for the system to boot until the next step.
6. After restarting, we will be on the page for selecting the system boot option. That is, the system will boot in the mode that we select on this page. In our case, the download is necessary in the “Disable mandatory driver signature verification” mode, so press the F7 key.

Feel the tide Nomi i508
Appearance, head / com
Attached Image

Comes Nomi 508 in a tight box. From accessories there are only a charger, usb-
cable, user manual. Sparsely, besides the above, I expected to see a stereo headset.
I am glad that at least a protective film is stuck on the display.
Attached Image

Judging by the appearance of the smartphone was designed for a male audience. Black plastic combination with
gray, lack of design delights, chrome elements. Everything is made simple, but functional.
The touch menu keys are highlighted. The back cover has a rough texture, the Nomi i508 will
difficult to slip out of hand. In general, the device body is only slightly larger than the usual five-inch
smartphone, its thickness is also not too large - 9.9 millimeters.
Attached Image

Display Nomi i508 Energy:
On Nomi 508 installed five-inch IPS-matrix with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels. Many claim
that it’s a low resolution for five inches, however, to see the individual pixels you need to close
bring the screen to your eyes. Naturally, no one uses a smartphone in this position, therefore
There is no grain effect, the fonts are smooth. There is an auto brightness mode that will save you from
adjusting this setting periodically. Viewing angles are good, the picture almost does not fade. General
The impression of the screen is definitely positive.
Interface, performance:
Attached Image

Nomi i508 Energy is a new model, so it is already produced with the version of Android 5.1, which gives the user
a lot of new settings, and according to the developers, more stable operation with improvement
performance. Navigation through the menu and the truth is very smart, and in addition to the standard programs
Installed applications Nomi Care (upgradeable firmware) and Power Manager
(calculates the remaining time with different use cases). Hardware stuffing
consists of a quad-core processor MT6580, a gigabyte of RAM, a video accelerator Mali-
400MP. The internal memory in Nomi is 508 sixteen gigabytes (about twelve is available to the user). Not
flagship characteristics, however, provide quite decent speed. Antutu application
estimates this gadget at 20350 points.

Camera:
Energy's main camera is pretty good. Eight-megapixel matrix with fast autofocus capable
make great shots, and thanks to a powerful dual diode flash, even poor lighting is not a hindrance.
The front camera is unpretentious, two megapixel. Does not have autofocus, but still recognizes faces
Supports auto-timer trigger function.
Battery Nomi i508:
Attached Image

The manufacturer installed a 4000mAh non-removable battery, which is hidden behind a protective metal
plate. With such a capacity, you can forget about the outlet for two or three days. And the power saving mode will allow
further extend the running time of the smartphone. In standby mode, Nomi Energy can be a half to two
of the week.
Findings:
The device perfectly copes with its tasks. Nomi i508 Energy for reasonable money will give you sufficient performance, a nice looking screen, a good camera and excellent autonomy. The only controversial point I would call the design - hardly the girls will like the phone. The rest of the Nomi raises no objections.
Mediatek MT6580
Mediatek MT6580 is a mobile processor of average performance, with a maximum frequency of 1,300 MHz.
Due to the presence of four cores, the processor significantly exceeds the dual core in multitasking.
Mediatek MT6580 supports displays with a maximum HD resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels,
Thanks to the Harvard architecture, the processor has a separate data cache and instruction of the first level,
which makes it a little faster compared to the models in which they are combined.
The instruction cache is used only to store instructions, and executes them in sequential order.
The cache collects data that is used by instructions, depending on where the data will be extracted from.
Mediatek MT6580 uses Reduced Instruction Set Computing (RISC) technology or Limited Instructions,
to increase the speed of their execution, in contrast to (CISC) technology.
Mediatek MT6580 performance is comparable to older chips like the Snadragon 400 (Sony Xperia C3, Asus Zen Fone 5),
or Samsung Exynos 4412 (Samsung Galaxy Note 2)
Responsible for the graphics outdated graphics chip ARM Mali-400MP, which is used in smartphones and tablets.
The chip can have from one to four cores, the Mediatek MT6580 chipset uses one nuclear version.
If we compare the performance of the Mali-400MP, it is slightly inferior to the PowerVR SGX 543MP2.
There is a modification called MT6580A, the differences of which from the base model are not yet known.
Video review of the Nomi i508

About the phone on the official website
4000mAh
Incredible battery will allow your new smartphone
Nomi i508 Energy to work a few days without recharging
(depending on the intensity of use).
MediaTek MT6580 chipset with quad-core processor
demonstrates fantastic performance.
RAM capacity - 1GB,
so the multitasking level
- sufficient.
Built-in memory - 16GB,
there is enough space to store all the content you need.
Free space can be added with a microSD memory card,
capacity up to 64GB. A set of wireless interfaces
- standard: WiFi, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS.
The main camera at 8Mp produces pretty high-quality photos and videos
with high detail and natural colors.
Frontal, on 2Mp, provides quite decent selfies and video calls.
5-inch display matrix
- IPS, which means you expect high brightness, widest viewing angles and juicy,
natural colors. Screen resolution - 1280x720 (HD),
and that is enough.
The display of the smartphone Nomi i508 Energy is perfect for games,
watching videos, reading and surfing the net.
Stylish, “adult” design and the body of high-quality plastic make a smartphone
Not only attractive in appearance, but also pleasant tactile.
The convenient location of all controls will create a feeling
as if you have been using this smartphone for a long time.
The Nomi i508 Energy is a perfectly balanced device,
which will be to the liking of everyone.
Pros and cons of Root-rights
+ Ability to freeze and restore firmware on Android device
+ Full access to the file system of the smartphone
+ Remove ads from applications
+ Delete embedded apps and ringtones
+ Embed apps and ringtones
+ Change the appearance of Android to not recognizability (change icons, change the background), edit apk and system applications in every possible way
+ Extend the term of work from one charge (if you have enough charge for 1 day, then with getting root rights you can increase the autonomy by 1.5 - 2 days)
+ Increase the speed and responsiveness of Android + Accelerate or reduce the speed of the processor
+ Automate many daily activities.
- Loss of warranty for the device
- A brick instead of a smartphone, if something was done wrong. Although in most cases the problem can be solved.
- Refusal to update. Re-flashing your smartphone, you refuse to automatically update your device.
But on the other hand, and to hell with it, with the update, if you can always install the firmware,
which meets your requirements and desires.

What is ADB / LogCat?
What is ADB (Android Debug Bridge)
Attached fileADB + 24 + rc2.zip(2.74 MB)

What is LogCat and how to use it?
Many Android owners want to have a system customized for themselves, with their design, but not everyone can do it the first time and have to do everything anew without knowing the reason, because the reason may be the most elementary: you forgot to add a file, you made a mistake in some kind of file and accidentally added an extra character, and if you did follow a large instruction for several hours or days (because of such complexity, you rarely have time or you didn’t understand how you should have done at that time), but your application did not work, how to be then?
There is one solution, use the system log - LogCat.
It is not very difficult to use it and it is done easily. First we need to download the ADB program, you can download it here. Unpack the downloaded archive into the folder C: / adb. Open the command line and write
cd C: / adb

Then we turn on USB debugging on the phone and connect the phone to the computer.
In the command line we write:
adb logcat ->logcat.txt

and open your idle application, if it is a status bar, then we wait when it gives an error.
In the folder C: / adb will lie logcat.txt, that is your logcat.

posted below mods for 20160511_V9Not of current interest.
Markup description
Markup description
Any item on the screen has its id. The elements begin to be arranged in the order described (from the first and to the bottom).
Elements can be located as follows:
View - markup to display a single item.

FrameLayout - it is convenient to use for several elements that are hidden and displayed programmatically, so that only one of them is visible at any given time. To control the visibility of an element, the android: visibility attribute is used, which takes one of three values:
Visible - the element is visible
Invisible - the element is invisible, but still occupies a place in the markup
Gone - the element is invisible and does not take place in the markup.

LinearLayout - markup to display one or more elements in a single line, horizontally or vertically. To select the orientation, the android: orientation attribute is used with two possible values:
Horizontal - horizontal
Vertical - vertically

TableLayout - markup for the location of elements in a table. Rows are set using the TableRow tag, and cells in each row are created automatically for each item. The number of columns in the table will be equal to the maximum number of elements in the rows. That is, if there are 3 elements in one row and 1 in the second, then there will be 3 columns in TableLayout. The width of a column is determined by the widest element in it. Table cells can be left empty, or merged. Attribute android: layout_column - sets in which column to place this element (column numbering starts from 0). Attribute android: layout_span - allows you to combine the specified number of columns (rows can not be combined)

RelativeLayout - markup for the location of elements relative to the parent or each other. The elements begin to be arranged in the specified order, so it is necessary that the element be described before another element refers to it.
Possible attributes of elements:
Location relative to parent:
android: layout_alignParentTop - the upper border of the element is located on the upper border of the RelativeLayout
android: layout_alignParentLeft - the left border of the element is located on the left border of RelativeLayout
android: layout_alignParentRight - the right border of the element is located on the right border of the RelativeLayout
android: layout_alignParentBottom - the bottom border of the element is located on the bottom border of the RelativeLayout
android: layout_centerInParent - the element is located in the center of the parent horizontally and vertically
android: layout_centerHorizontal - the element is located in the center of the parent horizontally
android: layout_centerVertical - the element is located in the center of the parent vertically
Attribute value is "true"

The location relative to other elements, the attribute value is the id of another element:
android: layout_above - the element is located on top of another element
android: layout_toLeftOf - the element is located to the left of another element
android: layout_toRightOf - the element is located to the right of another element.
android: layout_below - the element is located below the other element.
android: layout_alignBaseline - the baseline of the element is aligned with the baseline of another element
android: layout_alignTop - the upper border of the element is aligned with the upper border of another element
android: layout_alignLeft - the left border of the element is aligned with the left border of another element
android: layout_alignRight - the right border of the element is aligned with the right border of another element
android: layout_alignBottom - the lower border of the element is aligned with the lower border of another element

In all the View there are attributes that allow you to control their size or location. The main ones are:
android: layout_width and android: layout_height
The width and height of the item. The attribute can have the following values:
fill_parent - the element is the same size as the parent element
wrap_content - the element has the size of its content
exact size value in dip

android: layout_gravity
An attribute that determines how a given View is positioned inside the parent element.
android: gravity
Attribute that determines how this View is positioned inside the element
Basic values: top, bottom, left, right, center. The value of the element can be one or several (then they are separated by "|")

android: layout_margin
And also android: layout_marginLeft, android: layout_marginRight, android: layout_marginTop, android: layout_marginBottom. The attribute defines the indent of an element from neighboring elements (or from the border of the parent). Attributes inside the element are used.
android: padding, android: paddingLeft, android: paddingRight, android: paddingTop, android: paddingBottom

The same elements have attributes that determine their color, size, number of lines, etc. More detailed information can be easily found on the vast expanses of the Internet.

In order to exclude the display of the element, you can use the android: visibility = "gone" parameter or set its size to 0.0dip and change the color to the background color (if you want to hide any elements, such as country, operator, etc.).

Everything described above applies only to Layouts (markup) and you should understand that by changing the attributes of elements, you can only change existing ones, but adding new ones is another story.
Layouts Description
android: paddingLeft = "6.0dip" indent to the left of the element
android: paddingRight = "6.0dip" the same but on the right
android: paddingTop = "2.0dip" above
android: paddingBottom = "1.0dip" below

android: layout_width = "fill_parent" width of the element or container
fill_parent completely fills the container
wrap_content - the width of the content
android: layout_height = "fill_parent" has the same parameters as the width (above)
You can also specify the parameter in quotes
dp - (Density-independent Pixels) is an abstract unit based on screen density. On devices with a 160dpi screen: 1dp = 1px. This ratio will change on screens with a different density, and not necessarily in direct proportion. This ensures consistency in the size of interface elements across devices. sp - (Scale-independent Pixels) - a unit of measure similar to dp, but it also scales given user font settings. px - pixels. It is not recommended to use this unit of measurement, as the element representation may vary depending on the device. So if we set the element width to 100px, then on devices with a screen of 320x240 it will be almost a half-screen, and on devices 800x480 - less than a quarter of the screen. mm - mm in - inches pt - (points) 1/72 inch
android: gravity = "center_vertical" element orientation
center_vertical vertically centered
android: gravity = "bottom | center" relative to the parameter above down | centered

android: layout_marginLeft = "8.0dip" left shift
android: layout_marginRight = "8.0dip" offset right
android: layout_marginTop = "8.0dip" offset up
android: layout_marginBottom = "8.0dip" offset down
the parameter android: layout_height = "569.0dip" can be changed down to the highest accuracy
the android: scaleType parameter is responsible for the method (method) of placing the image on the screen:
android: scaleType = "fitCenter" - just place the image in the center
android: scaleType = "fitStart" - will place the image at the top of the screen
android: scaleType = "fitEnd" - will place the image at the bottom of the screen
android: scaleType = "center" - will place the image in the center without cropping and fitting
android: scaleType = "centerInside" - will place the image in the center and adjust without distorting the image, i.e. to scale
android: scaleType = "centerCrop" - evenly stretches the image to fill the entire screen and cuts off the excess
android: scaleType = "fitXY" - stretch or compress the image until the screen is completely filled
android: scaleType = "matrix" - will drive the image to the upper left corner without resizing

For unpacking and packing recovery, you need to use this instruction.Unpacking and repacking recovery or boot image.
Unpacking and packaging can be done only in UNIX-based OS. You can take as a basisrecovery-blaze.7z. By the way, in order for CWM recovery to load, you need to unpack the factory recovery and copy the zImage from it into the unpacked CWM recovery and then replace the zImage with the factory one.
CWM recovery
Unpacking and repacking recovery or boot image
The CWM recovery image is in the changer_files directory in Uberizer's main program directory. I couldn’t be able to unpack it. I’ve been trying to figure out the framebuffer when I’ve got it. framebuffer is represented.

This procedure also applies to the boot image (located in / dev / block / nandc).
There are various pages. However, some instructions didn’t work for me (resulted in a non-bootable recovery image). I'll go through this page and explain what did work. Uberizer version is v1.3 26th Dec 2012. The CWM version is 6.0.1.2.

Important note: The image file produced by the unpacking + repacking process may be smaller than the original image. However, this should not be the problem. For example, I was unpacked and repacked by the boot image - the original image was 33554432 bytes long and the re-packed image was only 10315776 bytes long. It was because they were just filled with 0xFF. So, if you want to get a different file size, check it out.

Structure of image file
According to the likes ofhttp: //forum.xda-devel...owthread.php? t = 443994,followed by a gzipped kernel, followed by a second stage loader (?). Representation nicked from that site:

I don’t know.
The steps required are these:
Split image file into kernel and ramdisk parts
Decompress ramdisk into real files
(Optional) make any alterations to the files
Compress the files back into a ramdisk
Combine the new ramdisk with the original kernel and make a bootable image
Flash to device and test
Steps in detail below. All require a Linux box - I'm using Ubuntu 12.04.

Here are several links which are referred to on this page.

1. Split image file into kernel and ramdisk parts
We start with the recovery image file (recovery.img) from Uberizer's changer_files directory. On the Linux machine, make it a folder on the desktop (I called mine "recovery") and copy recovery.img into it.
Now get hold of some tools. First, download Linux image tools to this folder. This contains a set of tools for extracting and building images. It is described on this page. Extract it. Next, download unmkbootimg.gz. It's described on this page. Extract it as well. Delete the original .gz archives, we don’t need them. Your folder should now look like:

We can use either split_bootimg.pl (in the tools folder) or unmkbootimg to split up the image into the kernel and ramdisk. It can be used to make it. We'll use it.
On the desktop:
cd / home / lindsay / desktop / recovery

(or whatever you called yours). Next run unmkbootimg:
./unmkbootimg recovery.img>output.txt

(You can go to the right click, properties, permissions and tick "Allow executing file as program"). The "./" is required since it’s in the same directory as unmkbootimg. The output from the umkbootimg is the piped into the file output. Here's the output from the unmkbootimg command:
Kernel size 8617380
Kernel address 0x40008000
Ramdisk size 1963342
Ramdisk address 0x41000000
Secondary size 0
Secondary address 0x40f00000
Kernel tags address 0x40000100
Flash page size 2048
Board name is ""
Command line "console = ttyS0,115200 rw init = / init loglevel = 8"
This image is built using standard mkbootimg
Extracting kernel to file zImage ...
Extracting root filesystem to file initramfs.cpio.gz ...
All done.
---------------
To recompile this image, use:
mkbootimg --kernel zImage --ramdisk initramfs.cpio.gz --base 0x40000000 --cmdline 'console = ttyS0,115200 rw init = / init loglevel = 8' -o new_boot.img

---------------

The directory will now look like this:

Internet connections
Many users are unhappy with the speed of the Internet connection on their mobile devices.
First of all, it depends on the operator, your tariff, network coverage
and the quality of the connection, but there is also one point about which few people know.
Developers from Nez Droid have created an application.Attached fileInternet_Speed_Master_1.4.1_8 [1] .apk(2.41 MB)
,
with which you can increase the speed of the Internet on Android.
The program makes changes to some system files (like Linux TCP / IP tweaks)
and thus optimizes data transfer settings.
1. Open the application. When you first start the program will require root access.
Provide it.
2. If you have root access, click “Apply Patch”
and reboot the device. After that, you can evaluate the results of the program.
3. If you do not have root, then click “Improve Internet Connection”.
Also reboot your device.
This method does not work on all devices
therefore, it is better to get root rights
To be sure to be able to increase the speed of the Internet on Android.
To restore the old settings, select “Restore” in the main menu.
and then confirm the restoration of the system files by clicking the "OK" button.

Max Vol is the same for the whole subsection, as a rule, 150 (you can change 0-160 - it changes if you select the Media item in the subsection).
If in a submenu, for example, Audio - Normal - Sph, the general level is not accessible to regulation, then enter another subsection, for example,

Audio - Normal - Media - there will be an opportunity to adjust the overall volume level.

Sub points:
Sph - volume levels during a telephone conversation,
Mic - microphone sensitivity levels,
Sip - volume levels for voice communication via ip-phone (Skype, Voip, etc.),
Media - volume when playing music, movies, in games.

Call volume levels are set in Audio - LoudSpeaker - Ring

Increasing FPS and Deleting Freezes.
Many of us have encountered unsatisfactory performance of our devices on the Android OS. Lags, "glitches"
- all this pretty nerves.
Sources of problems and how to solve them.
Live wallpaper
Of course, they are very beautiful and add attractiveness and elegance to your device, but all these kinds of fish and clouds consume a considerable amount of system resources. Disabling them will save you precious memory. Instead of live wallpapers, you can set unusual, bright static wallpaper.
Widgets and desktop icons
Each of the icons and widgets on the desktop also consume RAM. Too busy desktop, firstly, often lags, secondly, again, "eats" memory. It is necessary to treat him wisely and leave only the most necessary.
Unnecessary applications
The Internet is replete with all sorts of applications and games. Many of them are free. Of course, the temptation to download it all covers you from head to toe. Sometimes even completely useless, impractical applications, we leave "just in case", "suddenly come in handy." However, these applications can install unnecessary widgets, run background processes, and therefore consume resources. The device starts to load for a long time after switching on or vice versa for a long time to turn off, it starts to lag the desktop, all kinds of games and programs. To avoid this, I recommend to get rid of unnecessary applications and leave only the really necessary.
Autostart application
Some applications register their services in autorun when the device is turned on. This, as you probably already guessed, takes up RAM. To remove programs from the autorun list, there is a program such as Autostarts.
Ways to optimize devices.
Your tablet or smartphone, as well as a computer, can be “overclocked” by increasing the frequency of the processor. One of the programs that allows this is SetCPU. By the way, it works only with ROOT. Nevertheless, before using this method, weigh all the pros and cons, because after increasing the frequency of the processor, heat generation increases, the autonomy of the device decreases, etc.
Firmware
If the manufacturer of your device does not rush to update and optimize the firmware of your device, you can always install the so-called custom or custom firmware, which is customized and optimized for your device. But in case of failure, you can always return to the factory firmware, of course, if you do everything correctly, otherwise you can get a "brick".
Clearing application cache
Applications, especially browsers, store cache files on the device that take up significant space on the device and slow down its operation. To delete the cache you need to go to the settings ->applications ->management of applications, select the desired application from the list and in its properties select the "Clear cache" button. After such manipulations, the device will significantly increase the speed of work.
Increasing the speed of the video subsystem
That is, we will have to set the graphics card to maximum performance. To do this, go to the settings ->for developers, having previously included this menu ->put a tick on the item "accelerate the work of the GPU." This setting will speed up the functioning of games, but with some of them it is not compatible.
Disable animation.
Animation of windows, shortcuts and various effects, as well as live wallpapers, undoubtedly, does not affect the attractiveness and beauty of the device, but they are not a joy to the system. This beauty also consumes the right resources. In order to turn off the animation go to settings ->for developers ->and in the “window”, “transition” and “animation speed” points select “no animation”. In some devices, these items may be in the settings ->screen ->animation.

Before choosing the maximum possible values, make sure that this does not create any problems with the sound. It is usually not recommended to set to 0, since this may cause a chatter effect and other interference + gives an extra additional load on the speakers.
Before changing the values, always write down what were the default, so that in the event of which it was possible to return them.
Use Normal mode:
You will see a menu with four positions, where the first item is the profile number.
We leave FIR - 0 and do not touch it. We go below in the following parameters.
First, we set up the general modulation of the Tone volume, for this, select the Tone item in the Type menu (if it is not selected by default), then in the Value section below, set the volume value and click Set.
We set it to 1, but you can try various options from 0 to 100 - the higher the value, the quieter the sound, 0 is the maximum volume, however, it is not recommended to set it to 0, because the speakers will produce unpleasant side effects in the form of jingle and other bad things.
Further in the Type Side tone menu and in no case do not touch it, otherwise you will hear yourself and not the interlocutor during the conversation. Or change the method of scientific tyke at your own risk

Description of the service menu items:
BatteryLog - information about the battery (status, charge level, voltage, temperature, condition, etc.)

TouchScreen - contains several submenus
HandWriting - a simple little drawing with a finger on the screen, serves as a test of screen responsiveness
Verification - PointVerification - test screen calibration, when you click on the marked point shows the error
Verification - LineVerification - the same as PointVerification, only draws lines from one point to another
Verification - ShakingVerification - shake test

GPRS - GPRS performance tests, PDP (Packet Data Protocol) verification

Audio - setting all volumes and everything connected with sound, contains the following submenus:
Set Mode - select phone mode (Normal mode - normal mode, Headset mode - headset-headphones, Handfree mode - "hands-free", most likely bluetooth headset)
Normal Mode - settings for normal mode
Headset Mode - settings for headphone mode
LoudSpeaker Mode - setting the loudspeaker mode (the same Handfree mode?)
Speech Enchancement - Speech Tuning / Correction
Debug Info - information on debugging, values are set via Parametr 0-15 and for which they are unknown answers.
Speech Logger - call recording? When you enable "enable" after a conversation, it creates a file in the root of the sd card with a name like this: Sun_Feb_2012__01_15_31.vm (Sunday_February_2012_time01_15_31.vm), what these files are and why they are opened — I don’t know. Folder / sdcard / speechlog (which is indicated as File location) - does not automatically create it, if you create such folder manually, it will be empty after the conversation. When clicking the "play" buttons in the Speech Logger menu, all * .vm files created on the sd card are shown and nothing happens after clicking on them.

Camera - contains several submenus
AF EM - choice of test for the camera (AF - auto focus)
Raw Capture - launches Raw capture test
Start Preview - screen image from camera

WiFi - contains several submenus: (I do not advise you to dig in this thread!)
Tx - Wifi Tx Registers Tests
Rx - Wifi Rx Registers Tests
EEPROM is the firmware of the WiFi adapter and the ability to disable / enable via its addresses (h, byte) its functions. Once again, I strongly advise you not to try to change something, you can kill the WiFi adapter tightly and restore it will be very difficult, even if you make a "save as file" backup (for some reason, all values are zeros - 0000). I personally do not even suspect that we have an adapter installed.
Temperature Sensor - WiFi adapter temperature test during operation
MCR - what is MCR I do not know, there is the possibility of reading / writing at Addr (h) of Value (h) values

Bluetooth - contains submenus:
TX Only test - specify the values, click [menu], then Done, pass the Bluetooth Tx Registers test
Test Mode - turns on test mode

NetworkInfo - information about RR (which I don’t know) tick what we want to see the information about, then press the [menu] button on the phone, select Check Information, look.

AutoAnswer - contains only the "enable-enable / disable-disable" button. This is auto-pick up the incoming call (checked).

YGPS - tests and information about yGPS

AGPS - the only menu in Russian, AGPS settings

How to make the sound was louder.
Option 1. Go to Audio. We are interested in the following menus: Normal Mode, Headset Mode and Speech Enchancement. We go in Normal Mode, here we need a list of Type and Value values. All values should be in the range of 0-255, while the smaller the value, the louder the sound, i.e. 0 is louder than 255.
In Type, choose what we want to change (Tone - the volume of the call, Key tone - the volume of the keystroke, Microphone - the volume of the microphone, FM - the volume of the radio, Speech - the volume of the speaker when talking, Side tone -? Audio - the volume of the multimedia) set the desired value 0 -255 press the "Set" button - install. Similarly, you can change the Headset Mode mode in the headphones.
From myself I’ll add, I don’t recommend setting values to 0, there may be glitches and the sound may disappear altogether (I had it) or the speaker will wheeze (it also did). I myself set the values 1-5. If after some manipulations the sound is gone and you can’t get anything back - I did wipe, the settings returned to the default (how to do wipe is written in "FAQ and Install Drivers", after wipe you will have to install / configure everything again) . It may also help - reset settings (phone settings ->confidentiality ->reset).
Option 2.
To increase the call volume, dial * # * # 3646633 # * # * (engineering menu)
next menu Audio
further LoudSpeaker Mode
Type should be Ring
Level select Level 6
Value we put 250 we press set
Max Vol. we put 160 we press set
To increase the volume during a conversation:
1. enter the engineering menu (dial the combination on the phone screen) * # * # 3646633 # * # *
2. Choose item AUDIO
7. find the parameter Speech enhancement (which will be edited so that we can hear the caller well)
8. Click on Common Parameter and select - Normal mode
9. Click on Parameter - 0 and select Parameter - 6 (by default it is 400)
10. Start editing the parameter and change its value from 400 to 1 and then click on Set
==== Increase the audio recording volume when shooting video - engineer mode>audio>loud speaker mode>mic - value 160 (for me) at ALL 7 levels is changed to - 255 with confirmation (set). The device is rebooting and trying.

Now, as for Speech Enchancement, for clarity of speech on the Chinese phone forums, it is advised to change the following parameters: in Speech Enchancement, select Normal Mode, Parameter 6, change the value from 400 to 1. I honestly did not feel the difference, maybe you have a more musical ear and You will notice the difference, but maybe for our model it is necessary to change another Parameter. Still, an interesting parameter Speech Enchancement and is tricky with it. Maybe someone has some groundwork.
Look like that's it. After changing the settings, restart the phone.

Increase the volume when talking.

The process is done through the service menu of MTK phones.
Log in two ways.
1. In the dialer dial * # * # 3646633 # * # *
2. Install Mobileuncle Tools. www.mobileuncle.com. I saw a link somewhere, but I cannot find it now. It has the first menu - the entrance to Ing. MTK phone mode. Prog is more convenient, because I do not need to type a bunch of numbers, but I picked up the values for half a day (more precisely, half a night) with phone reboots.
Talk volume: (in dynamics)
Go to the engineering menu (dial the combination on the phone panel) * # * # 3646633 # * # *
Go to the AUDIO. Drop down the list:

1.1. Normal Mode (Normal Mode)
1.2. Headset Mode
1.3. LoudSpeaker Mode - setting the loudspeaker mode (the same Handfree mode?)
1.4. Speech Enhancement (Speech Enhancement)
1.5. Debug Info (Debug Info)
1.6. Speech Logger (Logging conversations, apparently).
1.7. Audio logger is an audio logger (software for recording audio) with the ability to quickly search, play and save.
2. Select the desired mode.
Normal Mode, (if you want to increase the volume of the earpiece and microphone).
You will see a menu with four positions, where the first item is the profile number.
*** NO FIR Selected ***
The list in the drop-down menu:
FIR 0 ~ 5
Type
2.1. Sip Tone (?)
2.2. Microphone (Microphone Volume)
2.3. Speech (Speaker volume)
2.4. Side Tone (?)
2.5. Media (Multimedia Volume)
Level 0 ~ 6
Value is 0 ~ 255 (0 ~ 160)
Max Vol. 0 ~ 160
We leave FIR 0 and do not touch it. We go below in the following parameters.
First, set up a general volume modulation.
Select Type: Media
then below in the Max Vol section. 0 ~ 160 set the volume to 160 and click Set.
Next, select the Vol parameter values for speaker volume.
Select Type: Sph
Next will be the Level list - these are the signal levels. What would be clear - there are 7 levels, and each corresponds to one “click” of the volume rocker, which is on the side of the phone. When you get rid of this rocker when talking, you essentially iterate through these signal levels. Those. Level 0 is the quietest position of the rocker, Level 6 is the loudest.
The volume level value for each Level is in the Value is (0 ~ 160) cell:
It is necessary to change. Changing is simple - erase the old value, enter the new one and press the Set button (next to the cell).
Warning! Write down the factory numbers before changing!
Level 0 - 90 Set
Level 1 - 100 Set
Level 2 - 110 Set
Level 3 - 120 Set
Level 4 - 130 Set
Level 5 - 140 Set
Level 6 - 160 Set
Max Vol values. 0 ~ 160 we have already changed earlier.

Talk volume: (in microphone)

To adjust the microphone volume - select Type: Mic.
Vol parameter values for microphone volume.
Warning! Write down the factory numbers before changing!
Level 0 - 255 Set
Level 1 - 255 Set
Level 2 - 255 Set
Level 3 - 240 Set
Level 4 - 240 Set
Level 5 - 230 Set
Level 6 - 220 Set
After that, they began to hear me better.
In order for the changes to take effect on the phone, you need to do a restart (Reboot) with the removal of the battery.
No more points to climb. It was this decision that helped me. Perhaps you have more correct values will be different numbers. But on (ZOPO ZP900 20120829-113139 Firmware out of the box) this solved the problem of audibility.

Now, as for Speech Enchancement, for clarity of speech on the Chinese phone forums, it is advised to change the following parameters: in Speech Enchancement, select Normal Mode, Parameter 6, change the value from 400 to 1. I honestly did not feel the difference, maybe you have a more musical ear You will notice the difference, but maybe it is for my model that you need to change another Parameter. Still, an interesting parameter Speech Enchancement and is tricky with it. Maybe someone has some groundwork. This decision did not help me.

P.S.
==== Increase the volume of sound recording when shooting a video - engineering menu>audio>loud speaker mode>mic - value 160 (for me) is changed to ALL 7 level by - 255 with confirmation (set). The device is rebooting and trying.

If you do not hear well or you hear badly on the phone

I will try to suggest the basic principles of sound settings in the engineering menu.
On the same phones, but with a different firmware version, the engineering menu may be slightly different. Described on the example of the engineering menu V800i.
We enter the engineering menu by entering the appropriate code. For V800 and V800i * # 9646633 #
Go to the Audio menu. By default, the audio settings use three modes:
- normal mode - the main mode of using the phone
- loudspeaker mode - hands-free mode
- headphone mode - headset mode
We choose the sound in which mode annoys us. For example, we do not like the microphone sensitivity in “Normal mode.” Go through the menu “Normal mode” - “Microphone”. Watch the menu items “Volume 0” - “Volume 1” - “Volume 2” - “Volume 3” - “Volume 4 ”-“ Volume 5 ”-“ Volume 6 ”. These menu items determine the level of the microphone signal at different settings of the overall volume of the phone, one that, if necessary, is adjusted by the volume rocker of the phone. Now, by changing the values in each of the 7 points, you can customize the phone for yourself. The basic principle is “The higher the speaker volume is, the lower the microphone sensitivity is” (if there is noise outside - the speaker volume is higher to hear the interlocutor and lower the microphone sensitivity to reduce the transmission of external noise, and vice versa - in a quiet room, with a quiet speaker sound, You can increase the sensitivity of the microphone so as not to raise the voice.) The minimum value of the specified parameters is 0, the maximum is 255. Ie, set the settings like:
Volume 0 - 255
Volume 1 - 235
Volume 2 - 215
Volume 3 - 205
Volume 4 - 195
Volume 5 - 185
Volume 6 - 175
These are not specific values. This is a principle. The specific values may depend on the characteristics of your microphone. The parameter values are selected by the volume rocker. Then “Set.” Excessive microphone sensitivity causes an echo effect when the other person hears himself. Similarly, the microphone adjusts the volume of other audio devices:
Speech - the level of speaker talk
Keyboard tone - the volume of the signal when you press the keys
Melody - ringing volume
Sound - volume TV and FM
Same as Normal Mode — sets values for Loudspeaker Mode and Headphone Mode.
In each of the items (Speech, Melody, etc.) there is the last item "16 Level Setting". It has 2 parameters: Max Analog Gain and Step. This is for setting the 16-step volume control of the audio player in the corresponding mode (Normal, Headphones, etc.)
Max Analog Gain is the maximum audio player volume. Step - is the step of reducing the volume (from the maximum) when you click on the "rocker". Thus, if for example Max Analog Gain = 160, Step = 10, then the volume will change from a maximum (160) to zero. If Max Analog Gain = 160, Step = 5, then the volume will be from 160 to 80.
These parameters are duplicated in all points (Speech, Melody, etc.), it is enough to set in one point.
P.S. Not seen their effect on the volume of the video player (although there is also a 16-step regulation)

Enable automatic recording of conversations:
Inzh.menu-Audio-Auto Record Setting-Auto Speech Record
Recording occurs in accordance with the settings "Multimedia Recorder"

Model: Fly-Ying F008, but probably suitable for others.

With all the desire to decorate
With all the desire to odexit Nomi i508 Energy
Full automatic deodexed tool for Lollipop.
System requirements: Tested on Windows 7 32-bit
Attached fileDeodexForART.zip(7.84 MB)
instruction
1. Run the script.
2. Select your / system folder (where there should be 3 directories: app, priv-app and framework).
Inside the / system / framework there must be the following files: /arm/*.odex /arm/boot.oat
Without these files, deodex will not be produced!
3. Select the Folder first, then the Application (But not vice versa!)
4. Then, select the deodexing of one or all applications.
5. **** Attention **** ....
See the results of the script on the screen.
Errors are possible for any reason ...
6. You will find the finished files in the / OUTPUT directory, inside the / system folder.
Tested on Windows 7 32-bit with JRE java version "1.8.0_25"
Java (TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_25-b18)
Java HotSpot (TM) Client VM (build 25.25-b02, mixed mode, sharing)
Separate individual files
after making changes to *.odex firmware
What is ODEX (coex)?
1. What is ODEX (coex)?
The application files used in the Android OS are in .apk format.
These are archive files containing:
application code (.odex files)
resources (images, inscriptions, xml-code, etc.)
certificates (if any)
.manifest file (description)

It is in this form that we receive files, for example, from the Android Market.
In official firmware, .odex files are taken out separately in the system / app,
that allows you to speed up the loading of the used code in DalvikVM,
but at the same time, it does not change the resources of this application,
because part of it is always separately loaded into RAM.
What is DEODEX (deodex)?
What is DEODEX (deodex)?
When it is said that the application (firmware) is deodex (deodexed), this means
that the executable part of the application (.odex) is repacked in the classes.dex file and placed back in the .apk,
and since, in this case, all parts of the program are in one place, you can easily edit its resources
(pictures, fonts, etc.), without risking getting a non-working application / firmware.

Thus, it is possible to distinguish ODEX firmware from DEODEX by a simple sign:
if you have files with .odex in the phone / system / app directory - ODEX firmware,
if not at all - according to DEODEX.

FAQ - By CPU Modes and I / O Schedulers
Source - xda-developers
By CPU mode
Consider the 6 main governors (there are others, but, as a rule, they are extremely specific - approx. Translation.). I will sign everything in brief, without abstruse words, that would be clear to any user.

1) Ondemand
2) Conservative
3) Interactive
4) Lulzactive
5) SmartassV2
6) Performance

1) Ondemand:
Standard governor in most stock cores (or kernels from Chainfire - approx. Translation). The main purpose of this regulator is to increase the frequency to the maximum as soon as the load on the processor appears in order to ensure maximum responsiveness of the system. Undoubtedly, this is effective - roughly speaking, every time this governer poses the question: how loaded is the processor and should I increase the frequency? So, when detecting the load on the ondemand processor, the governor raises the processor frequency to the maximum and gradually lowers it when the load drops / disappears altogether. Even though most users find this governer optimal, it doesn’t care about the consumption of your battery. Yes, the system works with it quickly, but often (almost always) processor resources are wasted.

2) Conservative:
Similar to the previous ondemand, but the frequency change up and down does not occur stepwise but in steps (freq_step 5% of the maximum frequency, can be configured from 0 to 100, while at 0 the frequency will actually be blocked, and at 100 it changes in steps like ondemand). Added a key for the minimum CPU threshold down_threshold (20%) at which the frequency will decrease in steps.
Compared to ondemand, response is slower, but more battery saving.

"Slow" version of ondemand, extremely reluctant to increase the frequency of the processor. In the absence of load, this governor uses the minimum available frequency continuously.

3) Interactive:
Like the previous ones, it sets the frequency depending on the load, but the load check does not occur at regular intervals, but in the case of idle out of idle time (+ check timer 1-2 clocks after leaving idle time). If the percents are loaded at 100% upon leaving the idle and by timer, then the frequency rises to the maximum. If there is no load to increase to a maximum, the dispatcher checks how the load has changed since the last frequency change in the min_sample_time period, choosing the upper value since the last exit from idle to determine the new frequency.
One setting parameter is min_sample_time, the minimum amount of time at a given frequency before its decrease, the default is 50-80 thousand milliseconds.
Interactive mode is faster than Ondemand, and gives a greater response with a negligible increase in consumption.
In short, this is a faster ondemand. Much faster, less battery. The key difference from ondemand - governer determines the load when exiting sleep mode and works at a given frequency most of the time until the next "sleep".

4) Lulzactive:
"Invented" by the user with the nickname Tegrak and is based on the Interactive & Smartass governors and is one of the favorites.
Old version: when the load is equivalent to or close to 60%, the governor raises the frequency to the next available frequency. If the load is less than 60%, then the frequency decreases to the next available bar. When the display is off, the frequency stops at the minimum available and does not increase.
New version: has three new parameters available to the user for configuration: inc_cpu_load, pump_up_step, pump_down_step. Unlike the old version, this, as it is logical to assume, allows more control over the work of the governor. We can set the interval in which the governor will decide whether to increase or decrease the frequency. We can also choose and adjust the number of available frequencies, to which the governor will raise / lower the processor.
When the load is higher than inc_cpu_load, the governor boosts the CPU pump_up_step. When the load is lower than the one specified in the inc_cpu_load parameter, the governor lowers the CPU pump_down_step.
Example:
Consider
inc_cpu_load = 70
pump_up_step = 2
pump_down_step = 1

5) SmartassV2:
The second version of the original smartass from Erasmux. Another favorite of the majority. Governer is designed to work at the "ideal frequency" and raises the frequency somewhat more aggressively than it lowers. Different “ideal” frequencies are used for screen-on and screen-off profiles, called awake_ideal_freq and sleep_ideal_freq. This governor lowers the frequency very quickly (in order to reach that very “ideal frequency” specified in the sleep_ideal_freq parameter as soon as possible) when the display is off and rather quickly raises the frequency when the display is on in order to achieve the ideal frequency awake_ideal_freq (500 mhz for SGS2 by default) . There is no limit on the maximum frequency when the display is off (unlike the original Smartass). This governor's mantra is a balance between power consumption and performance.

6) Performance:
It works with accuracy and vice versa as paveravev - sets the minimum frequency to the maximum available. Use for benchmarks! (the device is very hot, it may hang with a long load - approx. translation.)

So, you can break all the above governors into 3 groups:
1.a) Based on Ondemand:
Ondemand
1.b) Conservative Based:
Conservative
2) Interactive Based:
Interactive, SmartassV2 ,.
3) Strange category (included in the standard set of available governors on most stock kernels):
Performance.
Spoiler (-) (Primers tweaks CPU settings (governor))
[In the original, Ondemand, Conservative, SmartassV2, Lulzactive and Interactive are considered, as they are the most common, in translation we will limit ourselves to a smaller number (only for a general understanding of the situation)] Everything you take from here and do it, and risk

Different governors have different parameters, but usually it is easy to understand the work of one or another - it is enough to know the basics. At best, the governor will have the following parameters:

1.ONDEMAND
Options
I) sampling_rate - It is measured in uS and is responsible for the frequency of the core's appeal to the load on the processor in order to decide what to do with the frequency. A higher value means fewer hits.
II) up_threshold - Measured in percent, from 1 to 100, and when the processor reaches the specified percentage, the governor will increase the frequency. Higher values mean less responsiveness and smaller values, on the contrary, to the detriment of the battery.
III) powersave_bias - The default value is 0. Setting a higher value will “deflect” the governor to smaller “steps” between frequency changes. Use this parameter if you want the processor to spend less time at high frequencies (however, it would be better to simply lower the maximum processor frequency than to use this parameter for lower power consumption).
Iv) sampling_down_factor - Determines how often the processor should be at a higher frequency when it actually has some load. The standard task is to quickly lower the frequency. If you set this parameter to 1, then nothing will change, unless it is a non-standard ondemand, the number above 1 starts to work as a multiplier for the processor load refresh interval when it is operated at the maximum available frequency. This value increases performance, allowing the processor to stay at its maximum frequency for longer with real load on it, rather than lowering the frequency with a slight load drop (say, changing a dynamic scene to a quiet one in a game - translation.)

Tweaks examples
I) For better energy saving:
In order to direct ondemand to energy saving, it is necessary to set high values in up-thresholds and sampling-rate. In this scenario, the processor will increase the frequency less often, as well as check the need for this action.
echo "95" / sys / devices / system / cpu / cpufreq / ondemand / up_threshold
echo "120000">/ sys / devices / system / cpu / cpufreq / ondemand / sampling_rate
echo "1">/ sys / devices / system / cpu / cpufreq / ondemand / sampling_down_factor
echo "5">/ sys / devices / system / cpu / cpufreq / ondemand / down_differential

Ii) To improve performance:
Set low up-thresholds and lower sampling-rate.
echo "70">/ sys / devices / system / cpu / cpufreq / ondemand / up_threshold
echo "40000">/ sys / devices / system / cpu / cpufreq / ondemand / sampling_rate
echo "2">/ sys / devices / system / cpu / cpufreq / ondemand / sampling_down_factor
echo "15">/ sys / devices / system / cpu / cpufreq / ondemand / down_differential

2.LULZACTIVE
Options
I) down_sampling_time - The time allowed for lowering the processor frequency.
Ii) up_sampling_time - The time allowed to increase the frequency.

Tweaks examples
Unfortunately, the original version does not give the user a lot of control. We can adjust only how often the processor will raise or lower the frequency. Use the increased down_sampling_time parameter if you are experiencing jams while scrolling, browsing, etc. It is better to use the default value and / or maintain the down_sampling value in proportion to the value in the up_sampling parameter. For example: 2x24000 = 48,000 or 3x24000 = 72000.

2. Second version: Parameters
I) For better energy saving:
echo "90">/ sys / devices / system / cpu / cpufreq / lulzactive / inc_cpu_load
echo "1">/ sys / devices / system / cpu / cpufreq / lulzactive / pump_up_step
echo "2">/ sys / devices / system / cpu / cpufreq / lulzactive / pump_down_step
echo "50000">/ sys / devices / system / cpu / cpufreq / lulzactive / up_sample_time
echo "40000">/ sys / devices / system / cpu / cpufreq / lulzactive / down_sample_time
echo "6">/ sys / devices / system / cpu / cpufreq / lulzactive / screen_off_min_step

This tweak allows the governor to gradually increase the frequency of the processor and quickly reduce it at low load.
Ii) To improve performance:
echo "60">/ sys / devices / system / cpu / cpufreq / lulzactive / inc_cpu_load
echo "4">/ sys / devices / system / cpu / cpufreq / lulzactive / pump_up_step
echo "1">/ sys / devices / system / cpu / cpufreq / lulzactive / pump_down_step
echo "10000">/ sys / devices / system / cpu / cpufreq / lulzactive / up_sample_time
echo "70000">/ sys / devices / system / cpu / cpufreq / lulzactive / down_sample_time
echo "5">/ sys / devices / system / cpu / cpufreq / lulzactive / screen_off_min_step

III) Balanced version:
echo "90">/ sys / devices / system / cpu / cpufreq / lulzactive / inc_cpu_load
echo "4">/ sys / devices / system / cpu / cpufreq / lulzactive / pump_up_step
echo "1">/ sys / devices / system / cpu / cpufreq / lulzactive / pump_down_step
echo "10000">/ sys / devices / system / cpu / cpufreq / lulzactive / up_sample_time
echo "40000">/ sys / devices / system / cpu / cpufreq / lulzactive / down_sample_time
echo "5">/ sys / devices / system / cpu / cpufreq / lulzactive / screen_off_min_step

INIT.D
GUIDE ON INIT.D SCRIPT

While reading the above tvikov, you most likely wondered - WTF what is it? So here are the answers:
If you are already familiar with this topic, you can safely not read this subsection.
The Android OS download can be divided into three parts:
1) Bootloader starts.
2) The kernel is loaded, which, in turn, loads various drivers, prepares hardware for operation, etc.
3) Run programs and init.d scripts (as well as other parts for operating directly by the OS)
Init.d scripts are located in the /system/etc/init.d directory (or /etc/init.d)

The first line of any script should refer to the compatibility with the shell, which is responsible for launching the rest of the script. This is usually "sh" or "busybox".
So, the first part of any script looks like this:
#! / sbin / busybox sh or #! / system / xbin / busybox sh
OR
#! / system / bin / sh
The script itself starts from the next line.
Example: echo "200000">/ sys / devices / system / cpu / spu0cpufreq / scaling_max_freq
Make sure you do not make any mistakes in writing commands or addresses
The most common mistake is to use a windows-based program that leaves an extra space at the end of each line or leaves an invisible incorrect letter when you press the "ENTER" key
So don't use editors like notepad or wordpad. Use Notepad ++.
At the end of the script, check each line for extra spaces, if they are found, delete (spaces, not the line).
Save the script without any extension (yes, even without .sh)
Use ADB or rootexplorer to place the script in the /etc/init.d directory and set permissions.
Read this great guide on how to install the SDK and configure ADB.
Use the root explorer to copy the script and write the following permissions:
owner: rwx
group: r_x
others: r_x
Download the script manager from the market, use this program to run a script with root-access, marking the symbol in the form of a skull. This is only necessary to check the script for errors. If at the end of the operation the code = 0 is shown, then everything is started successfully. From here on, your script will automatically run each time the device boots. However, if the script manager shows an error, edit the script, correct them and try to run it again (repeat until it works)
To add comments, use "#"
Sample script:
#! / sbin / busybox sh

#No of values to be found in your kernel
echo "1600 1400 1200 1000 800 500 200 100">/ sys / devices / system / cpu / cpu0 / cpufreq / freq_table
echo "1425 1325 1275 1175 1075 975 950 950">/ sys / devices / system / cpu / cpu0 / cpufreq / UV_mV_table
echo "200">/ sys / devices / system / cpu / cpu0 / cpufreq / scaling_min_freq
echo "1200">/ sys / devices / system / cpu / cpu0 / cpufreq / scaling_max_freq
echo "ondemandx">/ sys / devices / system / cpu / cpu0 / cpufreq / scaling_governor

I / O Scheduler
Here we will also consider 6 planners, 5 old and one new scheduler called ROW

Question: "What purpose does the I / O planner serve?"
Answer: Minimize hard drive seek delay.
The priorities of I / O requests from processes.
Allocate disk bandwidth for processing processes.
Guaranteed that some requests will be served before Deadline

1) Noop

This scheduler combines all received requests, it is best used together with flash drives, because unlike a hard disk, a flash disk does not require the redistribution of several requests due to the absence of mechanical moving parts.

Pros: it has a positive effect on the operating time of the device, and is also the best option for a flash disk, since it does not have a search delay.
Disadvantages: when the load increases (the number of cycles executed by the processor), the performance drops proportionally - as an example, the tragic drop of it when installing and / or updating a large number of programs.

2) Deadline

Like the first scheduler, it focuses on the minimum latency of requests for disk space, placing them in the queue for this (in the amount of five).

Pros: when using this scheduler, the delay in the performance of certain processes is minimal, as a result of which work with it is closest to real-time handling. Like Noop, it works well with flash memory.

Disadvantages: with extremely high load, some processes will be cut off by a kind of “deadline” (hence the name) - you may sometimes have encountered strange phone behavior: you set 30+ programs to update, but only some of them were updated, and the rest didn’t seem to start.

3) CFQ

Works by placing synchronous requests in the queue, which are started by providing disk space.
Benefits:
It is believed to provide the best balance of I / O performance.
The easiest to manipulate (for developers)
Isolated on multiprocessor systems
Best system database performance after DEADLINE
Disadvantages:
Some users report a longer time to scan an array of data at boot. This may be due to the fact that bandwidth is evenly distributed to all I / O operations, not taking into account priorities.
The delay in starting processes can be very high, since a number of tasks "compete" for space in the disk.

4) SIO

It is a kind of "mix" of the above-mentioned planners. There are no minuses as such, however, from time to time the performance of a smartphone may sharply fall (as an example, a sudden long save in the game, an extremely long file search).

These are the three main planners that I personally recommend to use; their performance varies from core to core, and some programmers use other schedulers from the above list as basic ones. Oh yeah - if you ever wondered how to get outrageous numbers in benchmarks, then one of the fundamental points is the V®-planner, which, nevertheless, is almost not suitable for everyday use.

6) ROW

a scheduler specifically designed for mobile devices and added to the core just a few months ago. The main task: the primary processing of read requests, but a fair allocation of time for write requests. It is considered the best at the moment scheduler for NAND - memory, the default is used in Leankernel and Matrix.

It is worth saying that almost all standard firmware and half of custom ones still use the kernel with the standard Linux CFQ scheduler, which, however, is not so bad, since it knows how to work correctly with solid-state drives. On the other hand, it is too complex, it creates a heavy load on the processor (and hence the battery) and does not take into account the specifics of the mobile OS. Another popular choice is the Deadline scheduler, which is not worse than SIO, but redundant. You can view the list of available schedulers using this command:

cat / sys / block // queue / scheduler

To change this, apply (where row is the name of the scheduler):

for i in / sys / block // queue / scheduler; do echo row>$ 1; done

Some kernel builders use another kind of input-output optimization. This is disabling the fsync system call used to force

reset the changed contents of open files to disk. There is an opinion that without fsync the system will be less likely to access the drive and thus it will be possible to save the processor time and battery power. Quite a controversial statement: fsync in applications is not used so often and only to save really important information, but disabling it can lead to the loss of the same information in case of a crash of the operating system or other problems. The option to disable fsync is available in the franco.Kernel and GLaDOS kernels, and the control uses the / sys / module / sync / parameters / fsync_enabled file, in which you should write O to disable or 1 to enable. I repeat that using this feature is not recommended.

Question: What is a governor?
Answer: Governor is a processor frequency selector. All of them are in the kernel (kernel) and can not be added separately from the kernel. The task of the driver is to set some optimal frequency within the limits of the selected minimum and maximum (scaling_min_freq and scaling_max_freq).

Question: So, okay, enough of all this incomprehensible lofty-geek nonsense. Just answer me the question: which governer is better to use for the best power consumption without much damage to performance?
Answer: Difficult question, in actual fact! lulzactive and smartassV2 for the balance between power consumption and performance. For light tasks, lulzactiv should be more battery-friendly. As, however, and for heavy tasks. In order to get maximum performance, use a tuned ondemand or conservative, but in this case do not complain about power consumption! ATTENTION: it’s not so easy to set up a lulzactiv, so if you don’t manage to do it, then don’t touch it, otherwise you won’t get anything!

Question: How can I understand which governer is better for me personally?
Answer: (There was a lot of information here that I revamped). Test, gentlemen, and the only way!

Question: I am satisfied with the principle of operation of this governer, but I would like to customize it for myself. How can I do it?
Answer: To configure the governor, you need to change the init.d script:
/ sys / devices / system / cpu / cpufreq / name-of-active-governor / name-of-the-paramater-to-tweak
Example:
echo "20000" / sys / devices / system / cpu / cpufreq / lulzactive / up_sample_time

Question: I would like to know how else can I reduce the power consumption of my device. I have already set up a governor, but still not satisfied with the results.
Answer: Take my word for it - it’s best to limit the maximum frequency to 800-100 MHz, because they are enough for most daily tasks and applications for the eyes (this condition applies to most phones - approx. Translation.)

Question: I would like to improve the performance of my phone without much loss of working time. What can you recommend?
Answer: Use the 500-800 / 100 MHz frequency for the screen-it profile. Believe me, 500 MHz is not so much affected by the operating time, while using the device will become much more pleasant!

Question: "Best I / O Scheduler?"
Answer: You can’t call the “best” I / O scheduler. These are all dependent on the environment of use.
However, given the overall battery performance, reliability, and low latency, it is believed that
Sio>Noop>Deadline>CFQ, considering all the schedulers being debugged and storing the used flash device.

Sleeping(disabling) processors, settings and applications
to reduce battery consumption.
Drowning CPU
Sleeping the CPU automatically reduces the frequency and voltage of the processor to the lowest possible value, which gives a huge energy savings.
The CPU, the “brain of your device,” constantly performs many tasks. For example: updating widgets, checking for software updates, etc. You do not always need this, but consumes a lot of energy. That is why when you turn off the screen, you need to reduce the frequency of the processor.

Wake up settings
Select which interfaces will be automatically turned off (put to sleep) when the screen is turned off and reconnected when the screen is turned on.
If you do not like to go into the settings often or just want to save battery power longer - this option is for you. It is best to turn on sleep interface for all interfaces, since this mode will automatically sleep only active interfaces.
You can apply sleep to Wi-Fi, mobile internet (APN) and Bluetooth (BT).

Lulling applications
Choose which battery discharging applications will be disabled (put to sleep) when the screen is turned off.
Some of the installed applications constantly perform in the background some tasks that consume battery power. For example, social applications. networks update the status and check for new messages. Putting to sleep these applications will stop all tasks (services) that cause increased power consumption in the background. Sleeping is more effective than task killers and various memory cleaners.

Hello. How to make a hard reset on the device? I go into the menu with the help of "volume up + power key", select "Recovery Mode" and a picture appears with the caption "No command". Trying to remove Trojan - Trojan.Dropper.Agent.DW. A simple reset does nothing. Antiviruses do not delete it as it is supposedly systemic.

Thank you very much! : Thank_you: I hope now it will disappear. And another question that torments me. On the Nomi site is the firmware. Normal rar archive. Please tell me how to put it? This will be the next option if the virus does not retire with HardReset.

Troyan has not disappeared. : o

Service "search". The process is com.parbat.app.searchwidget. Has anyone come across this?
