AleKsnvkzand yes and not quite. Previously, there were 2 firmwares on this device, these are 4.4 and 4.2, and their kernels are respectively different. For iron I can not compare them. And now a different situation is being drawn, for one device 2 firmware 4.4 and the kernel as well 3.4.67 for both. But there is a difference. Sirexp firmware is assembled this year (the one that I have at 16 like). But there seems to be no difference in the special ones in the firmware (unless there is little in the libs). But in the boot you can see from the configuration that the new drivers are added to the display and sensors. That is, if you take my display and pick it up on the Sirexp hardware, it will work, but if you pick up its display and mine, you will get a gray (white) display without dancing with a tambourine. There is only one conclusion: the approach is normal, the step is thought out, if it comes up to the hardware replacement, there are more chances that it will do (display or sensors). What, in principle, can be called an update (not 4.4, but drivers for the hardware part). Something like this.

Sirexp,here you go. It is not advisable to take other firmware (there is an extreme case when there is no backup), and if there is a desire, then they are ported, there is a porting topic on the forum.
As for bugs / glitches, then it's not about the stock firmware. Periodically, you need to clean the system and check fs. Everyone has their own recipes, I personally do not use any such applications, all pens. How will the opportunity and desire I will describe in the post in detail.
