I know that the hat and in general, but nevertheless, personal experience, so to speak ...
Of sports interest, I decided to update with the global stable (8.1.4) to weekly global (7.3.16, the benefit comes stable)
so:
- If there is an unlocked bootloader, you can upgrade via OTA or three points (as the built-in update is called here), while the wipe is not needed, respectively, all data will remain. The update normally passes in the presence of a TVRP (in my case - ZCX-TWR-3.0.2).
.... TVP did not fly, the 7th android appeared, but did not find the real meaning of the transition for myself - visible differences "zero", and most importantly there is no answer to the call by clicking on the "Home" button, which is critical, so I decided to roll back to 8.1.4 ...
- The simple version with the firmware without wipes does not pass in the TWRP (although the specified recovery normally sews and stables, without editing the script) - After successful firmware, we have a permanent screen of inclusion from the logo, I suspect that the firmware with wipes would be corrected, but:
- Through the Miflesh, I stitched with Cleanall - everything rolled out normally, all the data was lost, the recovery returned to the factory.
During all manipulations, have remained, the modem remained, there were no problems.
Summary - Up can be easily, down - only with data loss.
