Important information!

  • It is forbidden to discuss the results of benchmarks. Similar discussions are conducted in the subject.Benchmark - Results
  • It is forbidden to discuss energy consumption (autonomy). Similar discussions are underway.Personal experience(there are no topics on our smartphone yet, but no one bothers to create it).
  • Questions of this kind "What kind of firmware would you recommend ...?" or "Which firmware is better ...?" considered offtopic.
  • Messages with firmware must be in accordance withby pattern
  • The authorship of the package of icons belongs to the user.FrosTPK, for which many thanks to him.

  • Any actions for reflashing, replacing cores, modems and other manipulations associated with changing the software part of the smartphone from Recovery should be carried out with a charge above 50%.
  • Before any manipulations with the firmware do not forget to dobackup.

  • Some firmwares work only with the new bootloader from official firmware on Android 6. If you have installed OxygenOS 3 or HydrogenOS 2 firmware, then you have a new bootloader and firmware that works with the old bootloader will not work on it and vice versa - firmwares that work with The new loader on the old will not work. If you have an old bootloader, i.e. If you did not install the OxygenOS 3 and HydrogenOS 2 firmware, then before installing custom firmwares that work with the new bootloader, you need to update this bootloader byof this instruction.

Instructions for installing firmware using TWRP recovery
Attention! To install the firmware, you must have TWRP recovery installed (the instruction for installing TWRP recovery is located in the header of this topic under the "Instructions" spoiler)

1. Download the firmware and Google Apps you need (if necessary) in zip format.
2. We throw them into the phone (at the root of the internal drive or external memory card).
3. Turn off the phone.
4. Boot into TWRP (custom recovery), to do this, simultaneously hold down the power button of the phone and the volume key down.
5. Go to the "Wipe" tab ->"Advanced", then we mark "Cache", "Dalvik Cache", "System", "Data" (this item is required if you switch from one firmware to another, it also deletes all your user data), "Internal Storage" do not touch.
6. Go back to the TWRP main page and click on Install ->specify the firmware file ->Swipe your finger from left to right under "Swipe to Install".
7. If you need to install Google Apps: on the TWRP main page, select Install ->Specify the file with Google Apps and swipe your finger from left to right under the "Swipe to Install" to install them.
8. Reboot.

A new version of CM has been released, added to the header.

Posted 12/18/2015 08:06 AM:

I wonder how stable 12.1

On XDA it is written that only the volume control during a conversation and the recording of a conversation does not work.

Cheto on XDA, in the CM branch, Gapsov did not find it, poke it with your nose), it seems like the 4s version is almost without jambs. Hands are itching)
.... Can I put any 5.1.1?

Added a link to Gapps to the spoiler "Other", should work on SM.

Help out the guys, I wanted to make CM, in the end it costs TWRP, I made the wipe (without backups) now I try to install any firmware I write E: Error executing updater binary in zip '/ sdcard / name firmware.zip
What to do?
Can anyone give a full backup and stock recovery for 1001 if it's not hard :)

The author of the firmware apparently did not add the E1001 model to the model verification script, as an option you can add it yourself.
What version did you put?

P.S. Before installing the firmware, you should always make a backup of your working firmware, so that there is no crap later.

Hooray! It came out to roll CM 4.0s ONLY through CM Recovery and ONLY through ADB. In any other way gave an error

The result, I overcame this phone :)
in order:
1) At first, no firmware from TWRP was installed, I decided to install SM recovery
2) there were no gaps from the SM recovery and you can not install img, I had to return TWRP via fastboot and from there I put the gaps

Now I’ll see if it’s not for nothing that I’ve been raping my phone since yesterday :))
