If at some point something went wrong, and you got a brick at the exit, a hang on loading or a perpetual reboot, you can always reinstall the mirror completely according to the instructions for the firmware (and already with the replaced EBR1 and EBR2 files). Today I decided to reconsider all my standard morning half-hour road and was, to put it mildly, upset. You cannot choose the duration of the video in the settings; according to the manufacturer, the mirror writes videos for three minutes. In fact, it turns out videos of the most different lengths - from 10 seconds to 5 minutes. I did not find the logic. I thought that the rollers were interrupted during a stop, during heavy braking, sharp turns or bumps (such as the G-sensor works), but no - today I even recorded a five-minute (five-minute, Karl!) Video, which was completely stopped with disembarking the passenger, and sharp turns, and riding over bumps and pits of the primer. At the same time, a few rollers also recorded for the trip for 15-20 seconds on a flat road.

Moreover, the spaces between the rollers are very large, sometimes reaching a few seconds. Today, one driver who is talking on the phone, right across the street, drove me almost to the oncoming lane on a narrow stretch of road (bridge). I wanted to reconsider this moment - it didn’t appear in the records at all, 10 seconds were gone - either such a space or the video disappeared somewhere.

The General (in the General) folder contains important rollers in the registrar's opinion - and so the required video was not found there, but there were videos recorded at the full stop, as well as the first video after the ignition was turned on. But in the Event folder (Event) clips are cleaned every day. The Chinese also managed to confuse the purpose of the folders.

I also noticed that the last video on which the ignition was turned off is not recorded (in the standard application it does not exist at all, but in the VideoReg it is damaged).


Compared with VideoReg - it writes in intervals that are clearly set in the settings. Although there are gaps between the rollers, they are quite small and of a fixed duration. Many recommend setting the duration of the clips to no more than 30-60 seconds, but considering the absence of a seamless recording, I think it is better to set the duration longer - the same 3 minutes, for example. In general, an urgent need to train the mirror to work with the rear camera outside the standard DVR.

You need to install, disable the old CarRecorder service, for example, via StopService, the service is called "RecordService" or delete CarRecorder.apk altogether
