WISP mode

netfriend for android does not find the router, although he himself is connected to the Internet through a router. With that in the screenshot, this program sees all the okresnye networks, not only Zukseleyskie, I do not see any of them. I repeat, the tablet itself sees the network.

For some reason, during the setup process of the router, at night, the beeline changed my connection from l2tp to ipoe.

But at once I will make a reservation, the adapter of Intel Wireless-AC 7260 is very whimsical and problem piece of iron. With my previous TP-Link TL-WR1043ND router, it generally worked disgustingly. The speed, as a rule, was kept at the level of 8–20 Mb / s and sometimes the failures were even lower. But at the same time with a laptop in which there is another adapter, the transmission speed was stable at about 95 Mb / s.

I received an official response from Zyxel support service regarding Jumbo frames:
Jumbo frames are not supported by embedded switches in the new Keenetic Ultra II and Keenetic Giga III Internet centers.
So if someone is thinking about buying, keep that in mind. Unleash the full potential of a gigabit network without jumbo frames will not work.

Good afternoon, Alexey Vladimirovich, there is a temporary restriction in the firmware version 2.06.A4 - it is impossible to allocate a TV-port for the operation of the IP-TV set-top box. You can make this setting at the moment by editing the configuration file from the device.
1. Save startup-config from your device (in the section System, tab files)
2. Open it through a text editor, such as Notepad.
3. Locate the port interface in which the set-top box will be connected. For example, interface GigabitEthernet0 / 0 is port 1, interface GigabitEthernet0 / 1 is port 2, and so on.
4. In our example, consider connecting a set-top box to port 1.
In the interface GigabitEthernet0 / 0 section, change the switchport access vlan parameter from value 1 to value 2. In the end, you should get:

It behaves perfectly according to the scenario you cited. When I am on a business trip in another city, I go to the tracker through the phone and add the desired movie to upload via mykeenetic. After downloading the movie to a gigabyte-connected disk, the wife turns it on on the TV via the DLNA server. All movies are in hd quality, all go without brakes. The only problem: not all torrent files were added via mykeenetic, the inscription "too large file" appeared, although the size is 20-30 KB. This problem is completely solved if you tap the magnet link on the tracker instead of saving the torrent file, then you choose to use mykeenetic, and the link is immediately added to the mykeenetic torrents. After a minute, the magnet link is converted to a torrent file.

about 4 years ago, when I had their Internet and motor prefix, we sawed out a separate vlan to the port of the router, and the prefix received an ip from their switch, and not from my router

Zyxel Keenetic Giga III + Zyxel Keenetic Plus DECT - Internet and telephony in the office


Once there was a task to provide a small office with Internet and IP-telephony. There is no budget. The savings are terrible. As many employers say, sitting down in an elegant S-Class compartment: “Crisis!”.
Well, that's not the point. There is a task: you need internet and telephony in a specific office. Local providers monopolists pushed prices such that it would be good for all employees to buy seventh iPhones with unlimited tariffs - it will be cheaper. But since the task was abandoned, the solution was outlined roughly like this: you need a router that will distribute the Internet from the Yota whistle. In addition, you need a gate that can hook up to an PBX based on Asterisk through this Internet channel. Well, as the last point will be used the cheapest analog telephones. Having seen the cost of VOIP gateways at least for 4 devices, I realized that there was no additional money. I decided to get out on my own - I need to take a hybrid solution.
As a result, the Zyxel Giga III router was chosen for the ability to work with external 3G \ 4G modems. In addition, a Keenetic Plus DECT USB DECT adapter was purchased for it.

A little about the device Keenetic Plus DECT:
The catfish adapter is supported by nine Zyxel Keenetic routers. Zyxel Giga III was chosen to work due to the presence of two USB ports, so that you can use a 4G modem and a USB DECT adapter. The device itself looks no more than a regular USB flash drive, and when installed in a router, it is suggested to install a software module supporting the DECT adapter. After a corresponding update, an additional tab appears in the menu that is responsible for the operation of IP telephony. The adapter supports the connection of DECT / GAP standard handsets. You can attach up to 6 handsets, while the conversation can be conducted simultaneously on four.

Let's start connecting cordless handsets. To address the issue of telephony, I wandered onto an online flea market and took a fairly modest money DECT handset without bases, but with charging glasses. In the next tab connect the DECT-tube. After pressing the "Register" button for one minute, you can connect one handset. Registration requires a PIN code base, which is the default "0000". You can connect up to 6 handsets, but I limited myself to four + Snom M9 handset for the experiment.

The next step is to create and configure a SIP-account. In total, up to 8 accounts can be created (with 6 handsets!), But it was decided to use one in order to ring all the tubes at once, and the first vacant manager would answer. In this case, the other handsets are silent, but the possibility of incoming and outgoing calls is maintained.

On the last tab there is a log of incoming and outgoing calls, which is stored until the first reboot or shutdown. From the point of view of not overloading the memory, it is logical. After all, statistics and logs can be viewed on the SIP-server.

Well, after that was setting up the server Asterisk. Someone can do it through the personal account of the SIP-telephony provider, but in this case everything was easier.

Conclusion
The experience was pretty interesting. If we compare it with the provision of wired Internet + VoIP-gate, this solution has saved up to 15,000 rubles or more, especially if we take into account the difference between the subscription fee of Yota and the local provider. During the testing process, a glitch of working only with the Snom M9 handset was noted, however, this handset is not on the list of compatible and tested models. The glitch was that the call went for about 10 seconds, after which the handset was free and outgoing calls were not received. But I was pleased that all the old and cheap DECT-tubes worked smoothly. I must also say that I consider the experiment successful, because even the tubes not from the compatibility list allow you to make and receive calls, although it does not reveal all its possibilities. And in the end I want to demonstrate how 4 calls work at once. The call was made to the public number "100", which sounded the exact time.
