- Kingroot 4.8.2 and newer after the reboot turns the phone into a brick. Recovered with LG Bridge.
- 6.0 exists only for H525N, for H522Y there is no update yet.

How to root on h525n usingKingroot. Since version 4.62 works on v10d. (ThankBADNMfor the tip.)
On the h522y model, getting root may not be the first attempt.
Ways to get root on various firmware

Solving the problem of memory and application work in the background.

The solution is to change the settings of the built-in low memory killer.
To work you need root!
Downloading a program that can do this. I used Kernel Adiutor. Go to the desired section and select the profile Medium or Aggressive.

How to reset to factory settings (wipe)?

1. Turn off the phone with the power button.
2. Press the power button and the volume down simultaneously.
3. As soon as the LG logo lights up - release the power button and hold it down again (while continuing to hold the volume down button).
If everything is done correctly, you will see a menu where you can choose to reset to factory settings (control of volume buttons, confirmation - power button).

Installing firmware using the LG Flash Tool (instruction is taken from the G4 branch)

Attention! Be careful! LG Flash Tool Implements the firmware bypassing the device validation service from LG and allows you to flash firmware from other regions into the device!
These actions can lead to complete or partial inoperability of the device !!!
REMEMBER THAT YOU ALL DO AT YOUR OWN RISK. AUTHORS OF MANUALS ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR DAYS !!!

1. Download the driver for the device and the corresponding firmware in kdz format.
2. DownloadLG Flash Tool
3. Turn on the phone debug mode via USB.
4. Transfer the phone to the download mode (from the off state, connect it to the PC using the USB cable, holding down the "volume +" button)
5. We are waiting for the installation of the port driver.
6. Run the LG Flash Tool on behalf of the PC Administrator (If an error occurs, you will most likely need to download and install Microsoft Visual C Redistributable)
7. In the main window, in the "Select Type" items, select CDMA, "PhoneType", select DIAG and click "Normal Flash" to update the firmware or "CSE Flash" for firmware with a complete reset of all data.
8. In the next window "Read Phone Information" press the START button.
9. In the last window "Select Country & Language" without changing anything, click the "OK" button
10. Without closing the utility, we expect 100% completion of the process.

- Installing the latest firmware version v20d via TWRP for H525n
- Unlocking the bootloader and installing TWRP on the H525n
- Unlocking the bootloader, and getting a ROOT on the H522Y
- Raise the LG H522Y out of bricks with the SP Flash Tool
- Unlocking bootloader H522Y
- Restoring the phone if you got a bootlap.
- Disable MLT logging.
- Enabling the "Format as Internal Storage" feature of Android 6.0
- Memory card as an internal drive (root is not needed)
- Disable KNOCK
- Turn on the multiuser
- LG device firmware via LG UP
